Although Rachel was trying to be confident in whatever she had thought, she was worried sick inside, if she will be able to manage everything. The thoughts of the worst things that could happen came to her mind, she herself didn't know what was wrong but she had a feeling that something bad was about to happen but now she could not back out so she acted the way she was earlier.

While she was thinking of so many things, they heard a the door bell and Rachel quickly went to open the door. She greeted both of them with a smile and as they entered Daisy was a little aggravated with the decorations as she asked in an angry tone "What is this?"

Rachel was scared that her plan would fail but she still tried, she smiled and said "Aunt it is your baby shower and... " before she could complete her sentence, she was slapped tightly in face. Everyone stood in there places for some time stunned.

Rachel was about to say that she had to make her mother the surrogate because she deserves all the happiness in the world and their family would do anything to see her happy so she had to choose her happiness and she is blessed to have an option for having a child, many don't have that so they will name this new baby coming as her baby shower but the slap ruined everything. She didn't want her mother's friendship to go down the drain so she quickly said "Please listen to what I have to say. It is not what you are thinking, I was gonna..."

There were tears in Jamie's eyes as she stepped forward and cut her off "No need to explain yourself darling, some people don't deserve it. I didn't know that you get hated when you do good, she is not worth it."

Daisy laughed sarcastically "Great so you called me here to make fun of me that you have a daughter and I can never have one. You wanted to show off right, you called me to insult me." then tears rolled down her eyes "Jamie I didn't expect this from you."

Jamie wanted to pick her up, hug her and then slap her and tell everything they were gonna do but right now she had a daughter to defend so she stood there and said in a loud angry tone "Really Daisy, you can think whatever you want but let me tell you that you have thought so low of your friend and you don't deserve any good in your life. JUST GET THE HELL OUT OF MY HOUSE."

She ran out of the house with tears in her eyes as all the men stood silently shocked that how with a single misunderstood judgement a 40 year long friendship could be at stake. James then ran behind her and they both went home.

Rachel collapsed on the floor crying she said "I am sorry Mom, I never wanted this to happen, I just wanted to help. I am so sorry, I never want to see you or aunt unhappy Sorry."

Jamie hugged her close to her chest as she continuously said sorry, Jamie said "Dear you are not wrong so you don't have to apologize and it is not just that I have to put in all the efforts for our friendship so if she cares about me she has to come and apologize."

Rachel slept in her mother's arm crying on the couch. Jamie put a pillow under her head and covered her with blanket and then went to Charles.
