Rachel was quite happy but there was something inside her heart that made her regret her decisions. She ignored Eve and went to her room to get ready and she was out by the time Change arrived to pick her up, she quickly got into the car. Rachel had not been this happy in months and she felt over the moon. She had regretted her behavior everyday, she had cried the most for Jamie's death but she had no one to talk to and now the happier she felt, her guilty consciousness made her heart feel heavy but a smile was stuck on her face.
After the dinner Charles took her to the car and like a gentleman opened the door for her. She smiled and sat inside when Charles said with a wide smile holding the door and moving as close to her as possible "Would you like to come over to my place."
Her heartbeat fastened at the question as she tried to answer hesitantly "Sure"
He held her hand "I promise that you will enjoy the surprise I have planned for you." saying this he closed her door which made her heart leap a few times but she composed her posture not showing her weakness and Charles knew that he had broken her pride and only the last bit of it was left.
He took her home and made her sit on the couch then he brought the bottle of wine and two glasses. He sat next to her and poured the wine passing a glass to her and sipping his wine slowly he waited for her to get drunk. When he thought that she was finally drunk, he pretended to be drunk and started talking "Why do you like me so much since the time I had a wife."

She gave a smile of defeat and then tears rolled down her eyes, she was drunk so she stammered while speaking "Why are you with me when all your friends and even my brother is blaming me for her death."

She begin to cry "You are too nice that I can't lie to you anymore."
Charles pretended to be surprised "Lie"
"I didn't approach you because I loved you but with time I definitely fell in love with you."

"I loved Jacob and before he forced Jamie to marry him, he had already slept with me and he used to blackmail me with the pictures he had of me." she paused and took a deep breath and then continued "He asked me to sleep with you so that Jamie could hate you. I hated her the most but now I realize how much she had gone through, it was me who killed her and I wished that I had died with her." she began to cry more heavily.
"You killed her" Charles's looked at her in shock.
"I am sorry I never wanted to do such a thing but Jacob's brother has all my pictures and he wanted to avenge Jamie and take his brother's company back from you so he had been using me." Charles listened to her patiently.
"I will just like to die rather than cheat a pure hearted man like you."
Charles had recorded all her words and he let her go after that dropping him at her house. He happily went straight to Jamie to give her the good news.
