The day Jamie slammed the door in Charles's face he knew there was something wrong, he went home, called James and told him everything.

"James I know something is wrong, I need to find out."

"Don't worry I will keep an eye on her and let you know."

"You do and I will try to find a way out too."

Later that evening James came in with the news that Jacob was going to keep some servants in the house to take care of Jamie so he send one of his men disgusted as them. Next morning he came to know that she was still being blackmailed because of the pictures so he decided asked him to find all the copies and destroy them.

He was invited to the business party too and he knew would bump into Jamie and he had to treat her as if she had cheated on him but when he saw her being carried in Jacob's arms his heart was broken. He felt the pain of not being able to see her when she was not well so he entered the party and directly went to the bar. He was drinking when Rachel showed up at his side and tried to seduce him but he pushed her away with harsh words. Rachel was really angry at that moment so she spiked his drink and took him to a room calling the news reporters in the morning to makes a big news.

When he woke up in the morning he was feeling dizzy and no one was around but when he reached his phone there was a message from an unknown number 'Hope you will take the responsibility for last night.'

His head was spinning he could not recall anything,as he tried to process the meaning of the message he got a call from James.

He picked up the call and heard a really nervous and breathless voice come from the other side "Charles I have 2 really bad news for you first You are in the headlines that you slept with Rachel."

"That is a good thing for now because Jacob would think that I don't care about Jamie anymore and I will deal with this Rachel later what is the other one."

James hesitated before speaking "Jamie is pregnant with your baby and Jacob is taking her to the hospital today to get it aborted, you have to do something."

"What...." he was in shock for quite a long but then he decided to go to the hospital "I will do something but I will never let him kill my child."

"That is what she wants, she had been lost in thoughts of protecting the baby since morning. Hurry up and leave."

"I see I will go then."

He hurriedly got up and dressed himself up and went to the hospital with the excuse of a regular check up. When he reached there he ran to the gynecology department and saw that it was Jamie's turn next to go in so put on a cold face and went upto her.

"Now you are pregnant with my baby."

Jacob gave Jamie the look that he should not come to know so she was about to say that she came in for a regular check up when an idea stuck her to actually save the baby "It is not your baby, I never loved you Charles, it is the baby of the man I love." she said wrapping her arms around Jacob.

He was shocked hearing this because he thought she would say that she came in for regular check up. He regained himself and held her in his arms "Yes it is my baby."

Charles understood Jamie's move and was so happy to have such a smart person but he had to say hurtful words to her "You sure are smart enough to make a person fall for you and then hurt him and now I think you deserve to be with this ruthless man."

His words pierced her heart because this was what she had become in his eyes she could not stand it any longer so she excused herself and ran to the washroom.
