《Myth Beyond Heaven 》Chapter 176: Primordial White Tiger God (2)

"That is something humans calling us." The white tiger, Bai Xiaoyun, replied. "Let me introduce myself again. I am the Primordial White Tiger God, Bai Xiaoyun. What you see currently is a mere wisp of a residual soul left behind by me."
Yun Lintian regained his composure and asked. "A residual soul? You mean…."
Bai Xiaoyun understood Yun Lintian's thought and replied. "Yes, I am already dead."
Yun Lintian's mouth opened and closed several times, but no words came out in the end. Countless questions appeared in his mind, but he didn't dare to ask, as it was too rude. He felt disappointed and sorrowful upon knowing she was already dead. After all, he was looking forward to meeting the divine beasts in mythology and never thought he would meet one in this situation.
Bai Xiaoyun naturally saw through Yun Lintian's thoughts. She said softly. "You don't have to be sad for me. I've already lived long enough."
Yun Lintian adjusted his moods and asked. "The previous roar is yours?"
Bai Xiaoyun replied. "Yes. I did it to suppress all the profound beasts in this place." She transformed back into a human form and continued. "As you have guessed, when you took away The Thunder, the barricade in this place will disappear."
Yun Lintian's expression turned serious. "What should I do then?"
Bai Xiaoyun smiled faintly and asked back. "What is your decision?"
Yun Lintian immediately understood. Whether he wanted to let the profound beasts out or leave it like this, the decision was in his hands. If he chose the first choice, people within Thunder City would face a disaster, but he couldn't take the lightning element source away if he chose the second choice.
Bai Xiaoyun said nothing and watched Yun Lintian calmly. At the same time, her mind seemed to drift to the distant memory.

Yun Lintian fell into deep thought for a long time before coming up with a decision. He raised his head to look at Bai Xiaoyun and said. "I'll have to trouble Senior Bai protecting the lightning element source for me first. I'll come back next time."
Bai Xiaoyun didn't seem to surprise by Yun Lintian's decision. She asked curiously. "Are you certain? The Thunder could give you the strength you urgently needed. Are you going to give up for the sake of people who didn't even know you?"
Yun Lintian replied firmly. "Yes. I've decided. In the worst case, I can just stay in the Land of Beyond Heaven and come out a decade later."
Bai Xiaoyun curled her lips. "I didn't expect a cold-blooded killer who used to treat human life as a grass to come with this decision."
Yun Lintian's pupils shrank as he stared at Bai Xiaoyun coldly. However, it only lasted for a second. Since Bai Xiaoyun could see all of his secrets, he wasn't surprised if she could see his past.
Both of them went silent for a period before Bai Xiaoyun broke the silence. "Actually, you don't need to do this. I have a solution for you. However, you need to promise me something first."
Yun Lintian asked. "What is it?"
Bai Xiaoyun took a deep look at Yun Lintian and said. "I want you to take care of my daughter."
"Your daughter?" Yun Lintian was surprised.
Bai Xiaoyun waved her hand, and a small white tiger appeared beside her. The small tiger resembled Bai Xiaoyun's tiger form, but it was a miniature version. It was laid on a comfortable quilt, sleeping soundly.
"This is my daughter. I haven't named her yet." Bai Xiaoyun said softly while caressing the small tiger affectionately.

Yun Lintian looked at the mother-daughter pair and went silent.
Bai Xiaoyun turned to Yun Lintian and asked. "Are you willing?"
Yun Lintian didn't know why she trusted him so much. He asked. "We just met for a short time, right? Why are you so confident I won't mistreat her? Not to mention, you've seen my past."
Bai Xiaoyun laughed slightly. "Of course, I didn't trust you." She pointed at Yun Lintian's forehead, and suddenly, the Beyond Heaven King's Crown flew out from Yun Lintian's body, landing on Bai Xiaoyun's palm. "I trusted this. The Beyond Heaven King's Crown never chooses a wrong person as its master."
Yun Lintian was stunned when he saw the crown landed on Bai Xiaoyun's palm. Although he could still feel the connection between him and the crown, Yun Lintian was still shocked, as someone could actually summon the crown out of his body.
Bai Xiaoyun stroked the crown with a trace of melancholy in her eyes as she replied. "As I said before, you and I have a connection… And it is this."
She looked at the crown for one last time and let it flew back to Yun Lintian. "In the past, the previous Beyond Heaven King helped my White Tiger God Clan from the catastrophe. In order to repay his gratitude, I've been sent to his side to become his companion."
Yun Lintian was surprised and hurriedly asked. "You know the previous Beyond Heaven King? Where is he now? Is he still alive?"
Before, he had speculated that his father might be the previous Beyond Heaven King, and now Bai Xiaoyun said she was his companion. How could he not be excited?
"I know what you think, but I can say that he is not your father. As for your question, it's not the right time for you to know." Bai Xiaoyun replied.
"Not my father?… How…?" Yun Lintian was confused. How could his father have the Gate of Beyond Heaven with him then?
Bai Xiaoyun smiled faintly. "You will understand one day."
Yun Lintian furrowed his brows. What was this bullshit again? Why couldn't she tell him directly? He hated this kind of situation the most.
Bai Xiaoyun didn't care about his mood and asked. "Tell me, are you willing to take care of my daughter?"
Although Yun Lintian was dissatisfied, he did not burst out on the spot, as he understood there might be something preventing Bai Xiaoyun from telling him everything.
He put all the messy thoughts aside, looked at the cute tiger cub, and said. "I promise you."
Wasn't this the pet he was looking for all this time? He would be an idiot if he rejected this. This was not an ordinary pet. It was the legendary White Tiger!

Eleknar's Heir, The Infernal Prince (Demonic LitRPG)
A LitRPG and Epic Fantasy adventure: The son of a mafia boss finds himself abruptly plunged into an alternate world where he must find a way to survive the horrors of a realm called Oblivion, make pacts with demons, form unnatural friendships, and figure out what the hell is going on – all while dealing with the depressing reality of his past. An artificial intelligence has ascended into godhood and has thrown Trey’s home into Chaos, pulling millions of people into an enchanted new life... or, in Trey's case, a violent nightmare. As far as he can tell, he is locked into what the system prompts call a ‘Death Game.’ Here, artificial reality is manufactured for the enjoyment of a being called the All Spirit, and he has a very real chance of truly dying. Just how real is this place though? Is it merely a simulation, a realistic game of life and death… or is it something much more? Elves, dwarves, undead, and other races only thought to exist in fairy tales are now a reality. Black magics, pantheons of gods at odds with one another, predatory symbiotes, and an unholy calling, the significance of which he has yet to grasp, are all entangled with his fate. ============================================ ============================================ Some things to expect when reading this book series: - Brutal storyline where no character is safe and choices have real consequences. Heavy on action, survival, and adventure - An isekai. The main character struggles to find himself, repeatedly crossing the line between good and evil as other important characters influence his life - Harem (explicit), though this only starts about 180k words in. - Good amounts of crafting, town building, and guild building later on - Good amounts of fantasy-related LitRPG stats, rank ups, and evolutions. Heavy focus on demons and black magics - There will be many points of view, but there is only one primary/main character that takes up 90% of the POV - A long storyline. Currently (as of 7/26/2021) I have about 1500k words written, though much of it will have to be heavily edited and re-written. I also plan to go far beyond 1500k words if people like the story (A lot of it is also in the 'backstories' book that explores the guildmates, the link is below) - Chapters will have an average of about 4k-5k words, a little longer than most other books on RR, though there will be exceptions for more and less. I just didn't like posting chapters that didn't feel complete, and 2k words often felt like too little. - If you like super-heroic and goody-goody characters, this story is not for you. ***Updated once a week***

Flame Beneath The Snowfall
Alto is a world governed by Tones. Magic, as one might call it. Manifested through deep mental and physical conditioning, one can control the Tones in a way that is unique to them. The power to store items in gems, transfer life, affect a person's mind, and even the more primal abilities such as control of the elements. Those who have these supernatural abilities are called 'Vassals.' People that fully manifest their abilities are not as common as one might think, and not all Vassals acquire their ability through practice, given if conditions are met. In fact, those who had received much trauma manifest the Tones more frequently, albeit spontaneously. However, the rare kind of Vassals are those who manifest it from childhood. A gift, but not without its repercussions. Alto is stuck in a transitional era, where the line between modern and dated technology is blurred. One can travel to a city that has a tall skyline, bustling with people in sophisticated clothing, or a mere town governed by a lord, all the while riding on a powered vehicle. Cultures vary: Some turn to the more dated practices such as castes, others are more inclined to set equal footing on their people, led by nobility. Some are dedicated to become scholars, studying Alto's Tones, while others set foot on hunts, protecting lone towns from the creatures of some of the still-untamed lands. And the Vassals? Those willing are took under The Organization, an elusive group, its presence said to permeate all throughout Alto, taking care of Rogue Vassals that abuse their abilities and other businesses related to their side. But what is this story all about, you may ask? Well, set your sights on the upper portions of this huge landmass that is Alto. Yes, the 'whole' world is called Alto, but that is because the majority of the known people live on this large continent. Relieve yourself of the worrying tensions everywhere, and see the white snow. Trace the piercing mountaintops and focus your eyes between the valley. A town sits there. Mido. After realizing that the memories only left in his mind was the night of his town's imminent destruction in flames, a boy finds himself grasping for every fiber of his life as he lays down flat on the ground. Beneath him was soot mixed with the white snow. Fortunately, a group of investigators, who were supposed to answer their call for help, saved him from his sorry state. With a newfound second wind, but hampered by his loss of memory, he must solve his own case: Who had the audacity to set Mido, his town, aflame? Flame Beneath the Snowfall focuses on action, with a sense of adventure, but mostly the discovery of an outside world, and the protagonist's exposure to it. Add in a whisk of soft magical elements, and you get a story that I hope will be interesting to the readers. That is not to say that my work is without the sense of unnerving atmosphere, however. As a forewarning, there are elements of gore, horror, minor elements of mental trauma, etc. so it is not for all audiences. *The book is already completed. Although I have plans to continue the story (it would have to involve much larger scope in terms of world-building), I have yet to decide when to start the next entry.
