be able to stop it. TerraSol will go absolutely blood crazy and all of you know it.
We've got to figure out a way to mitigate this. We can't afford a Mar-gite War again. The Terrans are barely calmed down from that.

Maybe it won't be that bad?

RIGELLIAN COMPACT - SECURE
It's barely been three hundred years. Over half the Terrans alive during that war are still alive.
How do you think they're going to react?

We know.
But, and, I'm going to be honest...

TRAENA'AD HIVE WORLDS - SECURE
He scares the shit out of all of us.
It's like there's nothing they can't do. Nothing they won't do.
We have cities older than you Terrans.
You've either fixed everything or beaten everything that presented a problem.
We'll be honest. Nothing we had could have stopped the Mar-gite Invasion.

RIGELLIAN COMPACT - SECURE
TerraSol is scary as fuck, but look at everyone they've saved. Hell, even saved from themselves.
The Naximarians were dying. They'd be extinct by now. They were going down and Terrans saved them.
And they aren't the only ones.
Traena'ad, you guys were in trouble. By now you'd have choked to death on your own larvae.
Mantid, you'd have had another Overqueen War by now.

This is strange. No TerraSol?

Yeah. He can't be in here. Not for this discussion.

If you're talking civil war, the answer is no.

No. You know I wouldn't do that.

Then what? We're not going to join. We fundamentally disagree with the 1% Line, your refusal to adopt a rule like the Prime Directive.
We'll help out. We're allies, but we're not joining.

This is real time. You should know that.
There's a reason TerraSol isn't here.

The Talmonus Harmony has been attacked by the Lanaktallan Unified Council military and corporate fleets.

Oh. How bad?

TRAENA'AD HIVE WORLDS
Bad enough they came into chat pleaded for it to stop.
TerraSol can't violate that treaty.
We need you to save them.

UFP - SECURE
We're not a signatory to any of those treaties. We have no diplomatic ties.
We'll need to know where they are.
---NOTHING FOLLOWS---
DIGITAL ARTIFICIAL SENTIENCE SYSTEMS - SECURE
Here. Here's the coordinates.
They're going to need military assistance. They've got nearly six hundred worlds, we don't know how many have been attacked, we don't know how in force the Lanaktallan's are.
To be honest, you're going to need your more military side.

We've got a man for the job.
We'll be in touch.

Captain's Personal Log - Stardate 8534.65
Despite my previous failures, I have found myself back in the Captain's chair with the rank of Admiral.
I have been given my choice of crew.
Starfleet, despite having its origins in a game, movies, books, television shows, and other media, is a way of life.
I have reassembled my old crew from the Precursor War.
My old Riker has shown up with the Dakota.
Time to the Talmonus Harmony is eighteen days.
Any other crew would have disagreed with my decision to load the bays with assault shuttles.
By the time we reach Talmonus Harmony space, not only with the assault shuttles be finished but the soldiers will be ready. The nano-forges and creations engines will be deslushed and cooled down.
Anyone who reads this, I want you to know: The Federation would have never brought me back except for one thing.
The Harmony is peaceful. They even purge any tools of violence templates from creation engines and nano-forges. Violence is treated as a disease. While there isn't genetic or medication therapy, they still have attempted to use non-violent forms of ridding violence from their culture without infringing on their member's rights.
An odd aside: The Talmonus Harmony does not allow non-Pure Strain Humans, not even DAS. The only VI's and eVI's they allow are home built ones.
If the Talmonus Harmony entered the Gestalt Chat, they must have been desperate.
I fear, through my unique combined experiences, the worst.
I feel they may have discovered that what is engraved on TerraSol is true after all.
The universe is malevolent and will take everything you love from you and hurt you while it does it. Nobody is coming to help you. Help yourself.
Or die screaming.
I hope I am wrong.
I know I am not.

Black Boar Band

In a new land, across the sea from the Old World, the town of Mossglenn Depot is the only civilization in an untamed wilderness. Funded by private enterprise, Guilds and Contracts are the way of law. Devin created the Black Boar Band, his very own guild, to get moderately rich and make enough of a name for himself that people might pause on the streets when they see him. Unfortunately, many others had the exact same idea. During a disastrous Contract, Devin and his ragtag band of people find themselves embroiled in a conspiracy involving his hated rival, Bronn of Bronn's Buyable Blades. As they dig deeper into this conspiracy, they soon discover there is more to this land than anyone previously thought, or imagined. And perhaps they are not the first to inhabit it. Quest of the Seal Bearers - Book 1: The Warriors Return
On the distant world of Mendala, a rash of mysterious attacks have left many towns destroyed, and there are rumors of an army of monsters. Fantasma, leader of the global government, and his colleagues are determined to find cause of these attacks. but the search for answers points them to an ancient relic, The Book of War, a cursed artifact that can create indestructible creatures loyal to its master. It’s been over twelve thousand years since the Book of War was last opened. It was believed to be destroyed during the Great War by the Twelve Warriors and Daughter of the Sun at the cost of their lives. Now, it seems the book has resurfaced, and its new master is seeking to forever tip the balance of power. The stage is being set for another Great War but who can stop the Book of War once and for all? Meanwhile on Earth, the teen members of Greengale’s Action and Adventure Club are preparing for their yearly trip when they suddenly stumble upon a secret their parents have been keeping for years. Now their world is being turned upside down as they struggle to understand the legacy that ties their fate to Mendala and the Book of War. Is their destiny set in stone, or will they forge a different path? No matter what, their choices will bring forth a new era for Mendala. ------------------------------ If you love vast fantasy worlds, rich, fleshed-out characters, and a adventure where your'e constantly discovering new things along the way, then this is definitely a story you'll enjoy. This is a slow-burn high fantasy / adventure with many characters and intersecting plotlines. It’s a quest so lots of adventuring, exploring, and character moments, but not a ton of fighting/action (though there are definitely some great fight scenes as payoff to the buildup). Because it’s a fantasy world with lots of people and new concepts, I try to make it easy so that you don’t have to memorize anything. The narrative will constantly remind you of important people/places/concepts as you keep moving forward. Some things won’t be fully explained right at the beginning to avoid information overload. My goal is that the reader will learn things organically as the story progresses. I use two mechanisms to help with the intersecting plotlines. - Each chapter is named for the (main) plotline it’s following and which part. - At the beginning of the chapter, and anytime there is a scene shift, the location is listed. Also, though this is definitely a portal-fantasy (isekai) it’s different from the standard isekai, especially since the world transfer doesn’t happen immediately. It’s not Lit-RPG but characters gain powers and grow over time. Also, it’s a group of teens that transfer, not just one central character. All of the teens are distinct characters, with their own character-arcs, relationships, powers, growth etc. Hopefully you’ll find this interesting as you’ll see the world and story from multiple perspectives. The story is always in 3rd Person (Omniscient) POV so that it’s not jarring as perspectives shift.
