Jin saw Sun Li was looking at him. He just smiled at her before closing his eyes as his vision was already blurred.
[Subtle flashback of memories while Jin is unconscious]
"Aimed at the monsters Jin!"
"Jin run! Hide and run!"
Voices getting louder and louder
Cracks from the steps of monsters.
The silhouettes of unknown people.
*BOOM* *BOOM* *Prffft* *Prffft*
``I pressed the trigger, I fired… I am still a human being!``
[flash back ended]
Jin's eyes slowly opened and dazzling light is what he seeing, his hands were big shaking and his whole body is covered in sweat. He looked at the time it was 6:49 am. ``I have a guess I am in the infirmary..``
raised his hand and covered the dazzling light that was in front of him. And then he heard a rough voice that was near him. "Are you able to get up Candidate Ru Jin?" Jin turned his view to the left and see a man in white uniform and with military ribbons on his chest.
"Ye-s, Sir" Jin looked at the officer and saluted and seating calmly. "Well to be honest with you candidate Ru Jin your performance as an individual was very excellent. Sadly your group performance always ends up in a fail, would you answer why is that?" the officer looked at Jin as if he was inspecting him.
Jin looked at the front and the whole becomes silent for a moment only the sound of the air-condition can only be heard.
"Well, Sir to be honest with you. All of those group training missions, were all on a successful path sadly to what I can say is that the world is pretty much unpredictable you cannot say and plan as exact as it gets. That is why I believe if we are going into a mission a Plan A and Plan B cannot be the only choices of Plans. There should be a lot of those plans, there are a lot of possibilities. And that is what I learn from all of those failures I have been through. My group performance was a hard one. Because we did not plan carefully enough. We thought that the training mission will be easy that it will only take about 2 plans at least. That is why our calculation went wrong and we failed. But I will not blame anyone in this work."
"I see is that how? Do you learn from those failures you have experienced as a Marksman as a squire candidate? Well if that is all I need you to be put to the rank of specialist III Class and enter a squad leader role for the 29th Squire squad.

You have 3 days to train them and to form coordination between those people. If you still fail and then we will put you into the communication support unit. That is all Dismiss candidate" the officer stood up and closed the notebook that he has opened earlier.
After that conference between Jin and the officer. "So I should look at these names huh… And then put them into my Squire squad. What classes of these people have, A swordsman and an Assassin after that an Archer, and lastly a Healer. So there is no magician class this is not that big problem a bit I guess. Like the old games in the Mythical Realms, this can work if there is coordination."
Jin just got out of the infirmary and walked towards one of the mess halls as it said in the papers. And when Jin entered the mess hall he saw a lot of candidates eating and then an arm blocked his way halfway to the entrance. The candidate looked at Jin's eyes and said "Are you the new squad leader of the 29th squire squad?"
Jin grips the sling of his XDR-rifle case, "Well, for what I know yes I am the new Squad leader. Are you part of that squad?" the candidate crossed his arms and then looked at the other way at the group table where there are people who are laughing.
"You mean those dorks? Are you going to lead them? Well good luck, the only thing they have survived until now is because they always betray their leader. Good luck buddy, and don't waste your time training those dorks they won't learn."
After the candidate said that he walked away. Jin looked at the candidate until he was far away, Jin looked back again where there are a group of people laughing.
Jin walked towards the group of people, because of Jin's promotion there is now a rank insignia on his left shoulder pad which is a Specialist III Class. The group of people stopped laughing when they saw Jin coming towards their location. Jin looked at each of their faces, trying to scan their first facial features.
"Excuse me?" Jin said "isn't really funn-" Fang Shirong turns around as he saw a Squad leader so he saluted, but Jin holds his arm before he was about to salute. "Sir-" Fang Shirong was confused and scared because most squad leaders are strict in terms of hierarchy.
"How can I help you Sir?" Fang Shirong asked while the others were quiet at the back. And Jin looked at him and also taken a quick glimpse of the people behind him. "I was asking if you guys know the squad members of the 29th Squire Squad?" Jin puts his hand behind him. Fang Shirong was quite scared and intimidated by how Jin said those words.

But Fang Shirong replied to Jin with confidence, "We are the 29th Squire Squad, Sir. We are currently waiting for our Squad leader." Fang Shirong looked at Jin as he too also trying to read if Jin is to be messed with or not. After Jin heard the response of Fang Shirong he then did 1 step backward. After doing that all of the candidates that were sitting at the table form up quickly. "Well, Shall we introduce ourselves" Jin grinned while looking at their faces.
Jin pointed at Fang Shirong. "Let's start with you as I feel that you are like the sub-leader of this group. Tell me about your class, how are you able to use it. And how many hours are you spending time in training." Jin then fixes his cap that he was wearing as the dazzling sun was directed at him.
"Aye, Sir" Fang Shirong replied with confidence. "Sir, My name is Fang Shirong, My class is Assassin. I am able to use it a proficiently as possible Sir, I spent 3 hours every 2 days Sir."
Jin nodded and looked at the female swordsman next to Fang Shirong. Fang Shirong's heartbeat goes back to normal as he thought that he was able to get away from questioning Jin.
"Aye, Sir!" Qiao Jiao replied as she was pointed by Jin to speak next "Sir, My name is Qiao Jiao, My Class is Archer. I too am able to use my skills and class proficiently. I too spent my house training for 4 hours every 3 days."
Jin deep inside he really felt that these people will really fail if they are not lead properly. Their training regime is imperfect as it could get. Jin was really disappointed, and now knows the reason why the Squad leader is always getting killed or being injured in the process.
"Next" Jin voiced turned a bit rough as he said that while looking at the next person beside Qiao Jiao. "Aye, Sir." Han Zian replied. "Sir, My name is Han Zian, My Class is a healer. And I am currently being able to use my skills in a mediocre way, Sir. I practice my skills 2 hours by 3 days in a week."
Jin then nodded as a reply so the next one will proceed. "Aye, Sir" Qi Meili with a soft voice replied "Sir, My name is Qi Meili, My Class is Archer, my skills are not that good as of the moment. I am able to practice my skills every 3 hours in 2 days' times."
"Mhmm, please allow me to be frank with you right now. The training regime you guys having is really a path of a fail training mission and Practice training. With this, we will conduct a retraining schedule for this squad and I want this squad to succeed and become one of the Name Squads. So I want all of you to give the best performance you can give into this squad. Am I understood?"
"Yes, Sir!" all of them replied. "We will conduct a training after you guys have a break we will go into practice simulation so I want you guys to prepare yourselves I want to see individuals' performance."
"Yes, Sir" their faces were a bit irritated because all of them were not that focused really in being a Name squad because most name Squads are always being sent in the front lines and being always in the fight first and the last squad to get out of such battles. After that Jin dismissed them so that they can continue their break but for Jin, he turns around and head towards the assigned Room number for their squad.
``I will lead a squad in this kind of battle. Hope that they will accept my doctrine of training because if not even me will not be given another chance that will make one of the Name Squad members.``
"Dang man! That new squad leader making us work. Geez, what If we fail it again and make him do all the things in a wrong situation he will be replaced right?" Fang Shirong looked at the others who were also looking down on themselves. "Hey! Guys why are you looking down and being sad! Don't be that man we are going to replace that person and we are going to the support unit!" Fang Shirong looked at Han Zian.
"What do you say Han Zian?" and Han Zian replied with a voice that Fang Shirong never had heard. "That man is different Fang Shirong he has the confidence and the words that can move people. He is very different even me. I was moved by his words, Yes we have the same motive as of earlier. But now it's kinda different I too want to change my dreams to be able to succeed."

Reinventing the Struggle
The (sort of) original working title for this was "Reincarnated into a neo-feudal world of mecha knights, I will reinvent the panzerkampfwagen and mess up the social political order!" or something along those lines. And honestly that's a good enough synopsis given the nature of isekai titles. This story is unapologetic trash but at least it's the least cringe stuff I have written so far, so here it goes.
