《All Time Marksman 》Chapter 21: Volcanic Minion is second to my favorites

The day passed and Jin took shelter to one of the abandoned places near the road. Jin woke up when the sun has risen up he checked his inventory and sold all of the unnecessary things that he has grabbed from all the looting he has done.
``Damn my body aches that much I should try to find some painkillers `` Jin stood up and sling his XDR-rifle to his right shoulder and walked out of the ruined house that he had taken shelter. As he was traveling there was a different feeling that bothers him. he already felt it when he just got out from the shelter place that he has taken a rest.
Jin then whispered "Zero Eye Blue Bullet" after whispering that word Jin left eye turned into a crosshair and the whole place turned into a three-dimensional world but only Jin can see it in that kind of way.
All of the buildings were able to be seen through and Jin was able to have a view of 360 degrees from where he standing. And after activating that skill Jin saw 4 ghouls that are hiding behind the roof of one of the houses and a volcanic minion that is at the end of the corner waiting for a human to pass by an ambush.
Jin raised up his rifle and then aimed it at the first hose which has 2 ghouls that are waiting for an opening. But for Jin, he won't give an opening, after raising his XDR-rifle

and Jin pulled the trigger of his XDR-rifle and the XDR-rifle fired. The Bullet pierces through the roof and directly hits the 2 ghouls behind the roof. After being pierced by the bullet they fall from the roof to the ground. But they did not die they stood up back again shaking their head and runs towards the direction where Jin fired. With that, it only alerted all of the monsters in the area.
Meanwhile, the other two ghouls that are on the other house peaked to see if Jin has many allies with him. And when they saw that Jin was alone they then rushed in the direction of Jin. Like a hungry beast's monster.
"I guess I am entering a new game here!" Jin reloaded his magazine and it was followed with

While aiming at the two near ghouls that are rushing towards him. And then he pressed the trigger.
The beam of light with electricity was fired. And the recoil was stronger enough Jin was moved a bit back. The beam of light directly hit the first ghoul and it turned into ashes. And when it comes to another beam of light Jin aligned a bit his rifle to the right and then it fired once again he was moved back a bit.
And it fired *Pheww* the burst of fire turned the ghoul into ashes. And because it was a one-hit strike Jin was thought that the ghouls were around level 9 and below. And when he saw the two ghouls that he shot first, he saw that they were bleeding in a green slime substance come out from their pierced through flesh. "Dang that is gross"

Jin aimed and then whispering "Deep breath" with that the XDR-rifle turned pink aura and but the first skill Rapid fire was still on registered skill. Deep breath skill is only a skill to buff his accuracy. Jin pulled the trigger *Prrfft* *Prrftt* and with that spray fire, Jin was able to headshot the two ghouls.
[Current ghouls killed 25/30]
And with that luck the volcanic minion that was hiding in the corner appeared. But there was also another one a Volcanic Golem. A volcanic Golem is a 14 ft monster with a high defense. Its level is 21 and the volcanic minion is around level 14 which is the same level as Jin.
``Shi- this is getting worse. How can I fight that monster…`` as Jin was about to lose hope he then felt a hand on his shoulder. And when he turned his head to his left he saw Tan Shan with armor and sword with some good friends. Luckily Tan Shan was in level 20
"So how are you doing brother Jin?" Jin was surprised and did not know what to say. He was really stunned, "So I guess my guess was correct. Alright, group squad F we are going to attack that monster and reclaim our position in the player corp." Tan Shan raised his sword and aimed at the head of the volcanic minion.
"Yue, support Fa and me to take the aggro of the volcanic golem. Huiling and Li attack the Volcanic minion Hong you Support them, Peng, you to help which team is going to get a rotation am I clear?" and all of them nodded followed to that Tan Shan shouted "Charge!"

Jin was stunned standing there as he saw Tan Shan and his group fighting a huge volcanic Golem with a high defense. "Whoa amazing and they are wearing white uniforms so they are part of those military huh" Jin whispered as he looked at his rifle. Wu Pen who was beside him said
"so you know our group squad leader huh?" and Jin nodded and then Wupen reached out his hand saying. "I am Wu Peng you can call me Peng" with a smile. Jin then grabs his hand and shakes it. "Name is Jin" after introducing. A rotation came up so Peng needs to help the team where Wen Huiling and Su Li were.
Jin then was tempted to join so he raised his XDR-rifle and aimed at the volcanic minion and then the XDR-rifle aura change to orange [Triggering Skill usage chosen] {Registered Skill] [Firing Skill: Ray Gun Burst] at the end of the barrel there was a materializing force that is an orb. Because of the power being generated Jin was being backed a bit and then he clicked the trigger and fired the XDR-rifle.
It then directly hit the volcanic minion and the volcanic minion's left face and left shoulder was destroyed. Wen Huiling and Su Li were all surprised by what they just saw it was really unexpected. The volcanic minion felt a punch that made him kneel in one leg. Jin sigh with relief as he made a good shot. The volcanic minion health is down to 30% as they continued to fight.
Su Li and Wen Heiling then nodded at each other to continue to attack the volcanic minion. Su Ling used his Water Spear to knock the incoming punch coming from the volcanic minion. While Su Li used Iron Slash to cut off the hand that was going to punch.
And in support of the two is Wu Peng that used his skill [claw blades] to deal enough damage to reduce the 40%. Now it was down to 20% Jin know how to kill the volcanic minion so he aimed his XDR-rifle once again, the XDR-rifle emitting aura is orange.
[Triggering Skill usage chosen] {Registered Skill] [Firing Skill: Dual Burst]
And as Jin aimed the XDR-rifle the force that is being generated at the end of the XDR-rifle barrel was getting stronger and stronger.
He was slowly being pushed back by the power of it. After a bit, Jin pressed the trigger of the XDR-rifle. *Phewww* the impact was clean as it made a hole in the volcanic minion body. It directly hit the center of the volcanic minion body which made the volcanic minion felt weak for a time being.
And it made a huge hole, but Jin was not satisfied with that result so after that Jin aimed again and he clicked the trigger and fired a shot once more, and with the last shot of the dual burst make the end of the volcanic minion. After the last shot of the dual burst, it was an explosion as the main source of the power of the volcanic minion exploded inside. There was debris flying but luckily all of the teammates were at a safe distance.
"What the- how can this happen" Su Li whispered as she was about to stand up and look at the situation. "A measly marksman player able to do that kind of damage is really scary," Wen Huiling said as she reached her hand to Su Li who was on the ground covered in dust and dirt.
Jin made a soft sigh after the volcanic minion exploded in smithereens. "That was a heck of a fight it was not that bad for them to take all the hit" Jin silently said as he slings his XDR-rifle to the side. But as he was about to sling it he saw that Tan Shan was having a hard time killing the Volcanic Golem. So he rushed towards to Tan Shan location.
Tan Shan was surprised that the battle with the volcanic minion ended well. But there was still a sign of untrust between Su Li, Wen Huiling because they both did not expect that Jin was a great player and they have doubts that Jin may be part of the Marksman Guild which the rebel cell of the Players Guild that fights with the Military.
"I really have a bad feeling about taking that man in our squad Huiling" Su Li whispered to Huiling ear. "Shh-" Wen Huiling replied.
[Current Volcanic minion killed: 1/3]

Tur Briste
A Druid cultivation novel. Borrows concepts from Wuxia and Xianxia but using Druid myth and lore. More on this at the bottom. Crow is son of Maddox, a Druid with an ancient bloodline and a people with a story spanning toward the beginning of time. Cursed, unfated, and a heap of bad luck have brought him only pain and suffering, but nothing will stop him. Nothing can stop him. A son of Maddox doesn’t bow his head. A son of Maddox understands that only a man with roots, with something to lose, will fight until the last drop of blood leaves his body. The Draoidh were once a proud people. They were both respected and hated for their form of righteousness. Power wasn’t something they gained through the might of their arms, but through intelligence. Their fall was all the more disheartening for the weaker cultivators. The tens of thousands of years that followed… chaos reigned. They forced Draoidh until most fled to the lower realms, nearly wiped out and exhausted. They went into hiding and became known as the Druids of the Oak. The Druid Order wasn’t the powerhouse it had been, and only nine of the major clans survived the calamity. Their bloodline weakened, as well as their prestige. Even the remaining clans fought amongst each other. Already on the decline and near extinguished, the Maddox clan can only struggle for survival, but their foundation wasn’t a joke. Weakened, but not weak. The other clans will understand this difference soon enough. Tur Briste, the Shattered Tower, awaits Crow’s ascension. Reaching the upper realms is only the first step in reestablishing the Draoidh. The Druids of the Oak remembered every betrayal and grievance, and they’ll return to power and reclaim what once belonged to them. The upper realms may have forgotten, but the Druid Order has not. Please Note:1) This is harem story. There are only a few chapters with sex, and it’s not a focus of the story. I’ll only add graphic sex if I feel the story needs it, so not gratuitously. Either way, Crow has several women. This is in line with Druid/Celtic history, and harems/reverse harems were an accepted part of their culture. Further, they had open marriages, meaning the man or woman could end their marriage at any time. While it was still a patriarchy, women had almost equal power. They were a very progressive culture. 2) There is a period of a 30-50 chapters where Crow loses the ability to cultivate like a Druid so he adopts an eastern body cultivation method for a while. This is temporary, but some people feel it’s misleading, so I am pointing it out ahead of time. I promise, the Druid stuff comes back, and 90% of the lore/myths/creatures/gods are all related to Druid/Celt/Irish/Scottish history. 3) I use many original names, most of which are in Gaelic or Irish. In the story, I refer to this language as Ancient. I enjoy all kinds of folklore and myths, so I encourage you to google those original names as they arrive. I give some background on them at the end of the chapter in my author’s note. 4) I use Ogham runes a lot, these are like the Druid alphabet, and they based each rune on a sacred tree so they also have symbolism associated with them. Again, feel free to google that too. It’s pretty neat stuff. Quick Translations:Draoidh = DruidTur Briste = Shattered Tower or Broken Tower Release Schedule:As of Oct 1, 2021- 3 chapters released every Sunday (May have up to two bonus chapters)- Side character chapters… this might be bonus chapters I release through the week. So they won’t count toward the 3 chapters on Sunday.- Please understand I work full time, have two kids, and can’t spare as much time as I’d like toward my writing. Maybe in the future I can switch to doing this full time, but for now 3 chapters is a comfortable pace for me. Lastly… I very much appreciate all my readers and thank you for allowing me to entertain you!
8 127On the Road to Elspar (Book 1)
The year is 1329. The Huntress' War has entered its tenth year, inflaming competing nationalisms and pitting the Confederacy of Caldrein against one of the continent's superpowers, the Tenereian Union. Desperately outnumbered, the Confederacy has relied on the prowess of its famed Caldran mercenaries, with highly-trained and experienced warbands returning from foreign conflicts to the defense of their homeland, and it is on their backs that Caldrein has successfully mounted a valiant defense for a decade. But they are losing, and day by day, with all the grace of a sledgehammer, the vast Tenereian armies take one more bit of Caldran territory, one footstep at a time. Sixteen-year-old Neianne from the village of Caelon has submitted herself to Faulkren Academy, one of the centuries-old institutions established to train the next generation of Caldrein's elite soldiers of fortune, to learn the ways of wars for three years before embarking upon the defense of her country. Her dryad family once hailed from reclusive woodland communes isolated from Caldrein's complicated mainstream society, and her upbringing leaves the shy village girl unprepared to suddenly train alongside other apprentices from backgrounds as low as the dirty slums of Caldrein's cities and as high as the halls of aristocratic power. Yet the war is eroding the norms and traditions that the Caldran people have long considered part of their national mythos, and the tensions within the confederacy that have long simmered under the surface - race, class, community, identity - are slowly but surely dividing its people, and Neianne must grow and discover who she really is, even as the war that she is steadfastly training for comes to its inexorable end... On the Road to Elspar is a fantasy quest - a work of interactive fiction wherein readers get to vote on what happens next at critical junctures - that is the first entry in a story that follows Neianne of Caelon, which first began on July 20, 2016. Originally a three-part in medias res prologue to a larger story titled On the Elsparian Road, it was eventually decided that this section - which covers Neianne's three years at Faulkren Academy - become its own independent story due to length, structural, and accessibility reasons. Despite this being a reader interactive work of fiction, due to logistical and verification concerns, voting will only be counted on its thread on the forum Sufficient Velocity, where this story originally began. As such, the content here on Royal Road serves as a story-only archive. You are, of course, entirely welcome to enjoy On the Road to Elspar as a conventional work of fiction, just as you are welcome to comment, discuss, and provide critique. But if you would like to participate in the voting, then I would be honored to welcome you on Sufficient Velocity. To facilitate accessibility and to ensure the best reading experience, this story-only version of On the Road to Elspar will be updated at a periodic pace, even though further content exists, so as to not overwhelm new readers on Royal Road. If you enjoy this story, wish to binge it, and/or want to participate in voting immediately, you may of course read all additional content via the link provided above.
