Qin Hua saw the elder slowly fiddling with all the herbs as if they were priceless treasures and decided to speed up the process.

She lifted her paw and pointed towards the bundle of herbs that should be able to help them deal with the poison.

Her knowledge in the field of traditional medicine was non-existent because even when she was a human, she was only studying scientific medicine textbooks.

But her [Inspect] skill was godly and with the help of that, she was able to quickly point out the herbs that might be useful for them.

Seeing her black paw with the set of her sharp toenails enter his field of vision, the elder snapped back to reality and paid attention to the dog near him once again.

He looked at her nervously and then saw the bundle of leaves which her paw was pointing towards.

[Woof! Don't look at me! Herbs! Herbs! See these herbs!] Qin Hua sighed.

She again and again pointed to the cluster and when that didn't help she just directly used one of her sharp toenails to hook a single leaf and then lifted it to the elder's mouth.

[Here comes the airplane. Eat it, grandpa. Woof!]

Finally, Lu Chen who was watching these two from a distance couldn't bear it any longer and dashed towards the duo.

"Little white, can these herbs help with the poison bites of the insects?" He asked with a warm smile on his face.

[You are the best! Woof!] Qin Hua hurriedly nodded.

"So should we like eat the herbs for benefit or…"

"Ah… Young man… please forgive me for interrupting." The elder reached out his hand and touched Lu Chen's shoulder. "The best way to consume the herbs is to remove their essence from boiling them first and then drinking it."

Lu Chen nodded respectfully. "Would that work?" He turned around to ask Qin Hua, who had a dazed expression on her face.

She didn't really have a specific answer for his question and didn't get a response from the system when she asked about it.

Eating the leaves directly should be the sure shot way to make sure that the herb efficacy worked, but there were about twenty five people right now including Lu Chen, Guan Ye, and the others, and everyone was poisoned.

The few leaves they had were obviously not enough for the whole group. So if making it into a concoction was more effective, then that would surely help out a lot.

On the other hand, there was a chance that boiling it might reduce its efficacy.

[Hmm… Woof! Maybe we should try some?]

Woof! Woof! Qin Hua used her paws to move some of the leaves aside and Lu Chen immediately grasped what she was trying to tell.

"Elder Gou, shall we try boiling a small batch and see how the effects are?"

The elder quickly nodded his head in agreement. He didn't have any qualms about this suggestion and if no one had said anything, he would have naturally done the same thing.

It was never wise to use up all the ingredients on the first try.

"Alright. Give me a few seconds. I will help you set up something inside the hospital. I saw a kitchen in the cafeteria on the ground floor."

Lu Chen patiently lifted the towel up from the ground and the day wasn't too windy so he was able to move the whole set up into the hospital building. Qin Hua and the elder also walked behind him, all three of them headed to the cafeteria.

Alex and Xu Meilin coincidentally caught the sight of this from a distance. "What are these guys doing?" Alex hummed and Xu Meilin shrugged her shoulders.

They were not able to finish the conversation as a loud sound reverberated ahead of them.

A group of fifteen or so zombies were stuck behind two big metal doors and were loudly banging on the doors after having sensed the presence of mana rich alive and breathing humans near them.

Alex smirked, her lips curling upwards. "Mei Mei, stand back. Let me deal with this bunch."

"Ah. Will you be alright?" She worriedly asked, but Alex looked very confident.

Xu Meilin gulped and backed away giving her friend more space than she had asked for.

In reality, Alex still gave out the occasional flame bursts so even without her warning, she had already been walking away from her and keeping a distance.

So far, three people had lost the clothes on their back and suddenly found themselves, half-naked and partially naked. Xu Meilin didn't want to become the fourth victim, sharing that embarrassing fate.

Alex, on the other hand, was completely oblivious to the thoughts of her friend. She was so ecstatic about finally having gained a new ability that she couldn't care less about these small mishaps.

"BRING IT ON!" She shouted loudly and removed the pieces of furniture that had blocked the doors and kept them shut.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

The furniture flew and crashed against the wall, the broken pieces flying everywhere, and the door that was jammed abruptly open up.

Raaaaw!

Roooo!

Wraaaa!

The zombies shrieked and screamed and immediately started running towards Alex.

Some of them even tripped and fell as the doors had suddenly opened up and the weight of the group at the back pushed the front forward.

More zombies tripped on the ones which had already tripped and then even more tripped on the ones that tripped before them.

It was like a chain of misfortune and almost all the zombies ended up falling down, tripping over each other. They crawled on the ground, unable to pick themselves up immediately.

It was very comical and Alex couldn't help but chuckle at this sight. Well, either this or perhaps the effect of poison had reached her brain.

She calmly stood and stared at the bunch of zombies snarling at her and waiting to bite into her flesh and bones.
