Qin Hua mercilessly slashed at the same injuries, landing the last blow which ripped its body into two halves, the upper body of the snake now falling on the ground and twitching in pain.

A heavy thud echoed and dark green blood splashed everywhere.

Everyone was completely stupified. Though they had kept going on, continued to put up a fight, no one actually believed that they were going to get out of here alive.

But now…!

Several people had tears streaming down their eyes and snot blocking their noses as they reveled in this unexpected victory.

Shrieks and yells sounded in the air as the first of the four boas fell onto the ground. 

The snake was actually still alive and sluggishly moving but it was heavily injured and was no longer a threat.

Lu Chen, Guan Ye and Alex were all panting out of breath but they didn't let the beast rest. They immediately rushed over to it and started hitting the head together.

Other groups were unable to move and help them as they still had their boas to deal with but the uncoordinated group that consisted of common folks who aimlessly kept hitting the boa that was under the [Dark Shackles], moved over to this fallen beast and provided support.

Qin Hua as well dashed over but she didn't stay for long and returned back to her running and evading tank job after chomping down on some of the exposed flesh of the boa.

Her health and her stamina once again filled up, not to mention the plentiful experience points. Qin Hua grinned ear to ear as she continued to tease and annoy the two other snakes.

The wounded boa was only able to last a couple more minutes when it finally let out its last breath. Qin Hua, unfortunately, did not get any experience points which was a pity.

But she didn't seem to care about that as her pitch-black face with green-clotted blood on it only had a wide grin.

She might not have gotten the experience points but there was still the mana core!

Standing beside the fallen boa, the few people including Luo Zu seemed to be now interested in taking the mana core for themselves but no one dared to make a move.

They all knew that probably Lu Chen or Guan Ye would take the core as they were the ones who had contributed the most. 

Besides, this was not the time to hesitate and pettily fight over this as there were still not safe. There were three other boas that needed to be brought down.

But despite this, it was human nature to be greedy even at times like this. Luo Zu did not open his mouth, but someone else from the crowd shouted. 

"Give me the core. I will give you three villas."

"Who the hell are you? Listen, young man, if you let me have the core, you can marry all three of my daughters."

"Fuck you. Who wants your ugly bitches?! Brother, I will swear my loyalty to you. Please give me the core. I swear I will forever be your loyal brother."

Lu Chen huffed and panted, sweat drenching him completely. All three of them who had done the actual work were on their last batteries, completely exhausted.

They didn't even have the strength to argue with these people. In fact, the fact that the giant snake was finally dead had not even fully registered in their minds.

One of the men in the crowd noticed this and quickly stepped forward to take advantage of this situation. He had a big ax in his hand and he looked like he had absorbed a few cores before.

He hacked at the neck region of the boa, silently about to take the core for himself, when suddenly a loud roar sounded.

Growl! Qin Hua rushed from behind him and without caring about anything, she directly swiped the core, absorbing and enjoying the sensation of the rich mana.

[Thanks! I will take that. Woof!]

The entire event took only about a couple of seconds and she was once again gone, evading and teasing the two other snakes.

Everyone else could only dumbly stare at her disappearing figure. 

Their face which had only just been extremely gleeful and happy from having taken down one of the monstrous green snakes now looked contorted, clearly aggrieved with what just happened.

Even though they were aware that she had done the lion's share of work, they still felt indignant. After all, she was also a beast just like the snakes who wanted to take their lives.

She might be friendly today, but what about tomorrow?

Unlike them, the trio who did the actual damage did not feel cheated. 

Instead, they had already moved on the two mountain cats who were still running behind Qin Hua as her [Majestic Growl] had also attracted their attention.

Lu Chen attacked one of the mutated cats and Guan Ye attacked the other mutated cat, ripping their heads apart and refilling their energy using their cores.

Alex on the other hand slumped on the ground and rested. 

She had watched Qin Hua eat the raw snake meat and had also watched her eat other roasted meat strips before which did not look like the normal chicken or beef.

So she did not hesitate and decided to try eating some of the snake meat too. 

She used her battered and dinged dagger to scoop out some of the blood dripping fresh meat and then directly placed it in her mouth.

She had never eaten snake meat before and it had a salty and a somewhat fishy flavor but the meat slid into her throat and warmed up her body as soon as it hit her stomach.

Her body absorbed the nutrients hungrily as she was literally starving and exhausted.

As it was, she was totally helpless and she didn't want to be a dead weight for the rest of the battle, especially since there were still three giant snakes dancing around.

This was a battle of attrition and there was no doubt about it. The one who lasted longer will inevitably be the winner!
