[Useless! Pathetic!] Qin Hua growled as she once again plunged back into a patch of darkness. The bastard did not even give her experience points.

She had hoped that no one paid attention to Lu Chen, but it was already too late. Benan stared at Lu Chen and at the couple of men who had fallen down.

"Him. Get him." He shouted, and as he turned around, he saw another two men fall down with blood gushing from their throats. Guan Ye's thin figure flickered.

"You! What is happening here?"

Seeing that the number of people fighting on his side reduced by half, that too so quickly and abruptly, Benan finally started panicking.

"What are you doing, you IDIOTS?" He clutched his head and started randomly shooting around the room.

Alex and the others screamed.

They ducked and ran out of the room and hid behind a wall in the area where they waited previously. One of them was even shot and they left a trail of blood behind them as they moved to safety.

[Shit. Shit. Shit] Qin Hua did not like this chaos one bit. The guy had done completely crazy. He wasn't scared of shooting at all perhaps since he had the barrier.

[If I can't attack you… then I will let you just run out of the bullets. Hmph]

Seeing that Lu Chen was struggling with one of the lackeys, she diverted Benan's attention and jumped in and out of the darkness in the room, her black blurry figure bouncing off the walls like a rubber ball.

He was the one who was the most problematic right now because of his barrier.

The other lackeys, even the one with the metal bending power did not put that much of a fight and was finished off by the assassin within seconds.

Because they were in a huge group, it looked like several of them were simply intimidating, but severely lacked battle experience.

They swung their overgrown bodies around and both Lu Chen and the assassin easily subdued them. However, there were still a couple of good fighters.

One of the guys hit Lu Chen on the back of his head with a rod that was surprisingly much stronger than it looked. Lu Chen was caught off guard and his body trembled and his brain vibrated, his vision becoming blurry as a result.

However, the assassin Guan Ye had his back and he appeared behind the lackey who was standing behind Lu Chen and slit his throat before he could attack him again.

Lu Chen nodded, thanking the guy, the two of them working in silent coordination. Qin Hua, meanwhile, once again cast [Dark Shackles] on the kid and kept Benan busy.

Soon, the entire group was almost wiped out and it had only taken them a couple of minutes. Benan looked around as if he had seen a ghost.

He finally understood what was happening and stopped shooting at Qin Hua. "Why… How could it be possible? Why is that beast helping you?"

He looked at all the men who were scattered around, their huge corpses lying still on the ground and then he looked at the young boy who was still covered in mist.

"What the… What the hell? Why did you guys ruin everything? Where are the others? HELP! HEY! HEY! Get the hell over here." He shouted, screaming at the top of his lungs.

Ever since the world turned to shit, things had looked up for him. He had been blessed by the Gods. When things attacked him, God protected him by not letting anything touch him.

He found a group of people and built his own kingdom in just two days. He was a man blessed by Gods to rule this new world, so why…

Benan shivered, none of his previous arrogance or confidence visible on his face. Qin Hua finally, showed her face and stopped ducking into the darkness.

She growled at Benan. Both Lu Chen and Guan Ye as well looked at the man, one holding an ice spear in his hand and the other holding a knife dripping with blood.

"I think if we just keep hitting him, the barrier should falter." Guan Ye suggested. He had observed Benan for a while and understood his power to a certain extent.

"Alright. Leave it to me." Lu Chen pulled a chair and sat down.

"You!" Benan shouted in anger. "Did I not treat you well? Why did you betray me?" He started to madly dash at Guan Ye when Lu Chen flicked his finger and sent a volley of ice spears towards him, holding him in place.
