"You are right Alex. We can neither stay here nor go out."

"How about we head over to the nurse sister's apartment down on the 7th floor using the fire escape?"

"Since the monster is on our floor, it might be safer there."

"Also, she will probably have a better idea of what the hell is going on." Su Yan sighed and suggested.

He really couldn't think of any other escape route at this moment.

No one else had a better suggestion. So everyone reluctantly agreed and then started climbing down one by one to the 7th floor.

They still had to be careful not to come across any more door breaking monsters or mutated rats.

But luckily the nurse's apartment was just near the fire escape, so the four of them didn't have to venture too far.

"Sister Min, Sister Min." Su Yan quietly called the nurse from outside her apartment and knocked on the door.

He didn't want to shout and draw attention to their group.

In this sort of weird situation, one would expect the entire apartment complex to be in a state of panic and chaos, with people running around everywhere.

But there was absolutely no commotion whatsoever and the entire building was eerily silent, except for that one monster which was still banging on the door upstairs.

So Su Yan tried to gently knock on the door and get the attention of the nurse sister.

They nervously waited outside the apartment door for about five minutes, but there was no answer…

"Did she go somewhere? Was she chased down by some monster as well?" Lu Chen was worried.

"Maybe she already escaped this hell hole?" Xu Meilin bit her nails and softly mumbled.

"Hey. See if the door is open? Sis usually doesn't lock her door, when she is inside the apartment." Alex suddenly suggested.

And indeed the door was unlocked!!

"You know her too?" Lu Chen curiously asked.

"Of course. Almost everyone in the building knows her. Unlike you she is a kind and helpful person. Hmph."

Alex scoffed and followed Su Yan as they slowly entered the apartment.

The lights were out in the living room and in the kitchen.

All four of them called out to Sister Min quietly in a scared voice thinking that a monster would jump out of some corner.

They didn't even dare to switch on the lights.

"Look, the bedroom light is still on! Phew. Sister was probably just tired and slept off with her apartment door wide open."

Lu Chen loudly exclaimed and pointed to the sliver of light spilling out from under the closed bedroom door.

"That's why she didn't answer the door for so long."

After reassuring himself, and everyone else around him, Lu Chen wiped the sweat off his face.

Slightly relaxed, the four walked over to the nurse's bedroom and knocked on the door.

Unfortunately, they were faced with the same situation again. No response!

But luckily, the bedroom door was unlocked as well, and Su Yan slightly opened the door to make sure he didn't startle sister Min or walk in on her while she was naked.

The door opened with a loud creaking noise and the group stepped in.

"Sister Min." Su Yan quietly called out. He didn't want her to be angry with them for invading her privacy so blatantly.

But Sister Min, the woman inside the room was weirdly unresponsive.

She was sitting on the far end of the bed inside the room completely still like a statue.

She did not turn back even when the boys repeatedly called out her name.

She seemed to be intently looking out the bedroom window without blinking her eyes.

But the windows were closed and curtains were drawn. What was she looking at?

The bed was properly made and the blankets were neatly folded and untouched. Clearly, she had not been sleeping.

"Sister, are you okay?" Xu Meilin asked, holding the tabby cat in her arms so tightly that the poor thing was getting suffocated.

"Umm Sister Min … are you okay?" Lu Chen as well asked nervously.

Qin Hua on the other hand was going crazy! Because she just received a really weird quest!!

Qin Hua's mind was reeling. She looked at the woman in front of them sitting like a statue and suddenly everything was clear to her.

And more importantly, the quest was a survival quest, the opponent was Level 10 and the stingy system was generous with the experience reward!

All these things could only mean one thing!! Hell was about to break loose!!
