"Did you get out without telling us?" Fan Ling was speechless when Lin Xiao and Lu Jian returned back to the academy.

Lu Jian nodded. "Master wants to visit my family members, so I bring him there."

"Your family members?" Fan Ling was stumped and she looked at Lu Jian with confusion. "Why would he want to visit your family members? There's nothing special about your family members."

Lu Jian: "…" do you have to be so blunt?

"I'm trying to figure out more about all of you." Lin Xiao smiled faintly when he saw them bantering with each other.

"All of us?" Fan Ling repeated the question and felt a bit strange. She then turned to look at Lin Yun, who was dragged out by her. "Did you say something strange to your big brother? He's different from usual."

Lin Xiao: "…" 

Lin Yun didn't know whether to laugh or cry. "I didn't say anything strange ah. Anyway, since you want to get to know the others, how about visiting Fan Ling's house too? I have been wanting to visit there too."

"That's a good idea."

"Sure!" Lu Jian voiced his opinion.

Fan Ling nearly tripped on the ground when she heard what they were saying. Hey! She didn't even agree yet!

"What the hell, why do you want to visit my family, ah?"

"I'm curious about the place where you live," Lin Xiao answered seriously because he was still in the middle of considering how to pull Fan Family to support him instead of Lin Bo Wang.

If there was a fight break out between him and Lin Bo Wang, Fan Family would be in trouble if Fan Ling were to support him. He certainly couldn't possibly let them have such dilemma.

"I want to visit my father in law and also mother in law."

"You! Who's your father in law!"

Lu Jian laughed at Lin Yun and Fan Ling's banter. The two of them were growing closer without even the others noticing. Though, he had to admit that Lin Yun's taste was a bit… strong since Fan Ling was such a fiery and hot tempered girl.

Since there was such an obvious reason, the four of them applied for another leave. The guard was speechless when he saw Lin Xiao took a week's leave almost immediately.

"Oh right, I need to leave a message to Xiao Hua first."

"You can just use your Communication Jade, you know…"

"I forgot."

They came out of the academy with Fan Ling's face still beet red. It was clear that she didn't want to visit her family right now but with Lin Yun asking it, she couldn't just refuse. If it was Lu Jian who asked, she could easily beat him up but since it was Lin Yun… she was not that heartless.

Lin Xiao put his hands on the back of his head, considering the matter. If Fan Family was adamant in supporting Prince Lin Bo Wang, it would be hard for them to pull them over no matter what they said. He had to see how their family condition first.

Looking at Lin Yun, Lin Xiao sighed. 

To think that this would also end up in such problem like this. He hoped that it would not escalate into further conflict.

"Which side do you think those two will take if the two sides can't reconcile. I wonder if they will end up fighting against each other." Lin Hu was watching without any intention to interfere in the slightest bit.

Hearing the dragon's words, Lin Xiao really wanted to pull the dragon's tail. "What the hell! Don't jinx things!"

"I'm just saying." Lin Hu scoffed. He had lived for a long time… wait, that's wrong. He was only born when Lin Xiao got Emperor's Inheritance, but he had inherited the memory from his predecessor.

Lin Xiao cut of his connection with the dragon as he followed Lu Jian, who took the lead to Fan Family residence. As expected of someone who was good at collecting information, he could find Fan Family Residence easily.

Fan Ling glared at Lu Jian. "When did you investigate me?"

"Is there even any need to investigate?" Lu Jian's lips twitched. He looked at Fan Ling with an odd expression. "Come on, Fan Family is famous in the capital city. It'll be weird if I can't find your home."

"These two idiots can't find it!"

Lin Yun sighed. "I have asked around about Fan Family residence so saying that I can't find my way here is a bit harsh."

Fan Ling pursed her lips and said nothing more.

On the other hand, Lin Xiao chose to stay silent because he knew that he didn't know the location of Fan Family residence. It was just… why did he have to get hit when he was staying silent, ah?

"Second Young Miss!" The guards naturally recognized Fan Ling as they greeted her.

Fan Ling waved her hand. "I'm taking a week's break from the academy, so I'm staying at home for the time being. Inform that to Grandfather and also Father."

Some of them who are loyal to Fan Family are allowed to change their surname and become part of Fan Family."

Hearing that, Lin Xiao was stunned. It seemed that the Fan Family was indeed not simple.

To be able to gather so many experts to serve their family and gain their loyalty… it was not an easy matter.
