Lu Jian rolled his eyes and passed a document to Lin Xiao. "Anyway, that's all information about him. Is there anyone else you actually want to know?"

Lin Xiao took the document and while reading, he asked, "What's the benefit of being in the academy."

"First student status."

"What's the use of that?"

"Of course it's useful! While you're a student, you can roam around the world without people being suspicious of you! After all, if you said that you're a student taking mission, you can head to many places ordinary people can't."

Hearing that, Lin Xiao recalled the mission that was occurring in that mountain once more. At that time, Lin Xiao didn't think too much but almost everyone whom he met and tried to attack them for the lake were disciples. Their strength was not too high, which was why they could defeat the others easily.

Right… it was a dangerous place and ordinary cultivator couldn't enter easily without having their identity checked. 

But being a disciple meant that their identity was already guaranteed. At least, to a certain degree.

Lin Xiao finished reading and didn't really find anything special. The reason why Lan Qing Xi still stayed in the academy was obviously because he wanted to learn more about the special skills here and also some other mysterious things. "There are several more people whom I would like to figure out more."

"…Me?" Lu Jian was stunned that he failed to react in time. Looking at Lin Xiao's serious expression, he let out an awkward smile. Well, they did spend a long time with each other but Lin Xiao barely knew anything about him nor the other three.

Oh, probably Lin Xiao had already had some guesses if it was Xia Ye but not the others.

Lin Xiao nodded. "Yep."

"What do you want to know?" Lu Jian asked carefully. He naturally had shown his skill to Lin Xiao so it must be not that point. They had been working together with each other for some time that it would be impossible for Lin Xiao to not know his capability.

"Your reason to follow me. At first, you come to me when I was an unknown nobody but now that I'm a prince, do you have any second thoughts?" Lin Xiao bluntly asked.

He never liked to ask while going around and around. It was useless in his opinion because the best way was to ask bluntly and have them answer the question which he had been wondering for some time.

Would they still follow him after they knew that he was someone who might be eligible for the throne?

"Oh." Lu Jian let out a faint laugh. He shrugged. "It didn't matter, isn't it? From the very beginning that has been your target and I have no qualms with your identity being a prince, a beggar, or even an idiot cultivator."

Lin Xiao: "…" I would be fine if you didn't include the last one.

Lu Jian grinned. "How about this, come see my family members. We have some holidays day that we hadn't used yet."

They have a week's holiday each year and since it would be their third year soon, they would have three weeks' holiday in which they could go to the capital city. But of course, they were not allowed to go further away than that.

"Your family members?" Lin Xiao thought for a moment then nodded. "But aren't your family in Hei Lu Province?"

"You still remember?" Lu Jian was speechless. He believed that he only ever mentioned that province once in his lifetime. "It's been more than 10 years ago they were there. Now they're staying in the capital city to take care of some stores."

Stores.

Now that Lin Xiao thought about it, he didn't know what Lu Jian's family did for living either. He felt a bit bad when he thought that he really knew very little about his people even though they were staying near him.

But then again, who in their right mind would come around asking other people's family members' condition?

"I'll call the others to see if they want to tag along."

"They're busy training. I'll come by myself."

"Ah, alright."

Lu Jian knew that Princess Lan Yi Hua had just advanced to Golden Core Stage 1, so it naturally meant that she was still busy consolidating her newfound strength. Han Jiang was still busy challenging other people while Fan Ling and Lin Yun were busy to train.

Thinking of how these people just dump him the whole work of managing the faction, he really wished to kick them all.

Since Lin Xiao had decided to go out, he applied for leave right away and the two of them come out. Lin Xiao only applied for a day's leave, which meant that he had to return back to the academy by tomorrow's afternoon.

Lu Jian thought for a moment. "There should be some empty rooms in my residence which you can use to sleep for the night."

"I can go to an inn if it's really needed." Lin Xiao was speechless.

"Don't worry about it! My house is not that small!" Lu Jian let out a laugh.

The two of them walked on the street of the capital city until Lu Jian stopped in front of a residence. The residence was brown in color and the smell of wood was very prominent. There were two guards who were guarding in front of the gate.

"Young Master!" one of them was surprised and greeted.

Lu Jian waved his hand with a smile. "Yo! It's been some time since my return."

"Ah, you're not kicked out from the academy, right, Young Master?"

"What do you mean kicked out, ah? I'm applying for a day's leave!"

"Hahahaha!"

Looking at how warm the atmosphere was, Lin Xiao's lips curled to form a smile.
