《Rise of the Great Emperor 》Chapter 319: Being A Cultivator

He looked at his own hand and felt that he was really unworthy to even touch that metal. After all, he knew that his skill was still fairly low.
If he was the one who made the sword, would it be still very good?
Well, he had to try. It would be a good experience for him to work on with such a good metal.
After Lin Xiao kept the metal, Hu Fei scanned the area once more before picking another good metal. He felt incomparably excited because he knew that it would be good thing for him to be able to get out with this treasure.
Lin Xiao was about to leave when his eyes landed on the bottle that had landed outside the circle. It was the treasure that the servant dropped after the lightning struck him because he tried to fight with Hu Fei.
He communicated with Lin Hu.
"Lin Hu, can I pick that thing?"
"Hmm? Oh, you're lucky that it's already outside the circle, so it won't be affected by the rules." Lin Hu let out a laugh. "You're picking up a treasure just by walking around!"
"Oh."
Lin Xiao bent down and picked the bottle. His action scare Hu Fei so much but then he realized that the punishment didn't move. He was stunned.
"That's….How did you pick two treasures at once?" Hu Fei was baffled.
"This is not categorized as the treasure owned by this place anymore but a dead man's loot." Lin Xiao grinned and looked at the bottle. He could not recognize the medicine but just from the fact that it was cold to touch told him that it must be a good medicine.
"What medicine is this?"
Hu Fei walked closer and looked at the bottle. He furrowed his brows as he noticed the text written in ancient language. With bitter smile, he turned to look at Lin Xiao. "You're the one who can read it. Why don't you read the name out loud so that I can guess what it is?"

"Oh, right. Soul Mind Calming," Lin Xiao read the word calmly.
"What? Soul Mind Calming?"
Lin Xiao looked at Hu Fei, who was already so terrified. He was stunned. Did he say anything wrong?
"That's…" Hu Fei pointed at the medicine and felt that it was really his bad luck to not try taking the medicine from the ground! But he didn't want to be punished either by the owner of this Secret Region.
"Hey, tell me what it is."
"It's a medicine to strengthen your mind and soul but the restriction is that you need to reach at least Golden Core Stage 2 for the best effect. If you take it below the stage, you will die and if you take it after that stage, it won't give you much effect." Hu Fei looked at the bottle with longing.
Lin Xiao was astounded. He had his mind strengthened already. Would he still need it?
"Idiot, your mind is only strengthened slightly. This medicine will still be very useful to you! Not to mention, this is the highest purity and normal alchemist couldn't even come close to this!"
Hearing that, Lin Xiao didn't hesitate to keep the bottle away.
Hu Fei gulped down. He was at Golden Core Stage 2 and naturally the temptation of the medicine was so big. If his mind could be strengthened, he would be able to grow stronger.
"Hu Xiao, trade with me, please? I can give you a lot of Spirit Stones!"
"No way. I can trade it with much higher places if I sell it outside. Also, what makes you think that I won't need this?"
"You can get it again in the future."
"Nonsense! Do you think this is a cabbage? And if you say it like that, doesn't it mean that you can also get it by yourself?"

"I'll make you weapon for free!"
"You already have to make me a weapon for free because of the promise with my Big Bro!"
Hu Fei was stumped and it was only then he realized that he was indeed still under debt to Prince Lin Yan. Resisting his urge to curse, he could only huff in annoyance.
"Return back to your path. We might meet again later." Lin Xiao waved his hand and rushed over to the light path.
"Hey you!"
Hu Fei wanted to chase after Lin Xiao but then he realized that he only memorized two words… if he followed Lin Xiao, he might end up taking the wrong route and killing himself.
Besides, the goal of coming to this Secret Region was to get stronger and get more treasures. There was no need to be so fixated on one thing because there were still chances for him to get more.
"Forget it."
Swish!
As Hu Fei resumed back to his path, Lin Xiao also continued walking. He noticed that the maze was still so similar to each other and that he only needed to follow the light word. It was boring and yet Lin Xiao continued to walk.
'Thinking about it, how come I'm not hungry after staying here for a long time?'
Lin Xiao took out a meat bun that he kept inside his Spatial Ring and munched as he continued walking. If one were to see him right now, they would not think of him as a powerful cultivator but more like a normal boy everyone could see on the street.
After a few turns, Lin Xiao finally arrived on a large hall. There was only two path, one to the front while the other one was to the right. He looked at the word written and his lips twitched.
The front had the usual 'light' word.
But the right side…
'Hey brat, if you can read this and you're not part of the light path, you should turn. Tsk, what did I write here? What, you're thinking this is so uncanny of a cultivator? Do you think we're all cold and aloof?
Heh let me tell you that being a cultivator didn't mean that you'll lose your personality!'

Lone: The Wanderer [Rewrite]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time? Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow? I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.' I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer? [Goal of 1 chapter per week, the only exceptions being announced breaks or emergencies] The cover art is courtesy of the very kind and talented ssddx. The Adventurer's Guild(master)
In a world of adventure, magic, and kingdoms, only one man can keep it all from falling apart. As much as he wished that wasn't the case. This is the story of the man who became the guild master of the most prestigious adventurer's guild in the kingdom, and then came to completely regret that decision, as he is forced to keep the peace, file paperwork, and babysit adventurers. The life of a guild master is not as great as it once seemed. Note: The prologue is an extended -probably should have not took it that far- joke and is completely skippable from the rest of the series. This is my first work on this website, or on any website to be honest, so criticism is more than welcome. Feel free to leave comments on any chapter, not just the latest one.
