《Rise of the Great Emperor 》Chapter 230: Meeting with Prince Lin Fei

Swish!
As the familiar forest's smell entered his nose, Lin Xiao's lips unconsciously curled up to form a smile. Even though it was a mountain, the lower part was still filled with greeneries, making it similar to that of a forest.
For someone like Lin Xiao, it was truly the best place for him to be because he liked the smell and the environment greatly.
"There are people nearby."
"It must be other groups. There are more than one group in this place, right?" Lin Yun asked back.
Lin Xiao nodded. "Yep."
Tep!
As they stopped, Lin Xiao could see the faces of the people from the two other groups. His eyes narrowed when he saw them. While he didn't recognize the second group, it was impossible for him to not know the first group. The man who was the leader of the first group was someone who was so high profile that basically a lot of people knew him.
"Prince Lin Fei."
The ninth young prince, Prince Lin Fei, was standing behind his group. He had no intention to join the battle as the opponents were nothing more than several beasts rank 3. But as he was watching, he noticed the group that was coming over.
It should have been nothing more than an ordinary group, but the one who came into his view was exactly the person he had been waiting to meet all this time.
Lin Xiao.
In the past, no one would care about this name because they didn't even know him. His background was also so bad that no one would bother to take a look at him because it would simply be insulting.
But now, they had to remember.
Because this very man was also the one who was daring enough to raise his hand against a young prince, crippling that very prince.

Some princes might be weak and didn't have much support. Thus, it was not strange to see them getting bullied. However, the person in question was a young prince who had the chance to contend for the throne.
How could they forget about this name so easily?
Even Prince Lin Fei was also curious about this person. Seeing the young man in front of him, Prince Lin Fei felt a bit uneasy but he couldn't figure out the reason. As he had already stayed in Foundation Establishment for years, his senses were also very keen and naturally he felt that there was some kind of danger lurking within Lin Xiao.
But what it was, he didn't know.
"You're Lin Xiao?" Prince Lin Fei asked, his tone was clearly not polite.
Lin Xiao arched his eyebrows, thinking when did he offend this prince. He had already warned himself in the past over and over to not offend this prince yet and would only do so when he was strong enough. To think that this prince would greet him with malice first…
*Sigh*
If the others knew what he was thinking, they would be speechless. It would be rather weird if Prince Lin Fei didn't act out of cautiousness and greet him impolitely. After all, Lin Xiao was someone who had dared to go against a prince before.
Who could say for sure that he wouldn't do the same thing ever again?
"Yes, Your Highness." Lin Xiao was also not overly polite and only greeted back. He was about to move back when his eyes noticed someone familiar from the second group.
'Prince Lin San? He's not the leader of that group?'
The young man, Prince Lin San, smiled. Despite being one of the princes in the capital city, Lin Xiao somehow had different feeling when he saw the prince before him. The aura around him seemed mystical, yet at the same time, he could sense that the prince looked far more amiable than the others.

Even in this dense forest, Lin Xiao was certain that the prince's demeanor didn't change in the slightest bit.
However, Lin Xiao suddenly felt faint killing aura from behind him. There was no need for him to turn around to know that the one who spread the killing intent was Xia Ye. However, it was only for a moment before the young man hid his intent once more and looked down to evade looking at them.
Prince Lin Fei brushed his gaze across Lin Xiao and nodded. "Follow and I will let you off."
One sentence.
It was a threat and Lin Xiao knew it too. He pursed his lips. It seemed that the ninth prince was a very blunt person.
"Unfortunately, Your Highness, I can't do that."
"Oh? Why is that?"
"That's because I don't have any interest to follow you," Lin Xiao replied shamelessly, not caring that his words would incite other's anger.
"Are you saying that you won't follow me because you don't have any interest?" Prince Lin Fei's eyes glowed dangerously.
Fan Ling clicked her tongue when she listened to what they were saying. They were surely taking their sweet time with their word play while she was already bored. In her eyes, she should just go ahead and fight with this annoying prince.
Why should everyone follow him, huh? They have their right to choose who they wanted to support.
"Well, you're the one who elaborated it, Your Highness." Lin Xiao blinked his eyes, acting as if he had not done anything wrong. One look at his face was more than enough to make one wanted to punch him directly.
"Heh!" Prince Lin Fei let out a sneer. In the next moment, his aura exploded as powerful pressure went against them. "Kneel!"
Guh!
Lin Yun nearly slammed his body onto the ground due to the pressure. Beads of sweat was pouring on his back, yet he could feel that his body was held up. His eyes widened when he noticed that it was Fan Ling.
The others were also standing still while their eyes looked at Prince Lin Fei without any intention to back down.

The boy who fell in love with a tree
This is a story about a boy who fell in love with a tree… A story about powerful people changing the rulebook to stack the odds and line their pockets… I aim to create a story that will transport us so we get a glimpse of what that boy felt. The first 4 Chapters might be classified as a prologue depending on how you look at it. The boy quickly grows and the story really starts when the System arrives on Earth. I’m trying to achieve a relatively slow power progression and guide what we learn at a pace following the people in the story. There will be fighting but It’s more focused on base building. The MC is not all-powerful and all-knowing but he has some significant advantages. I’m trying to create a universe that makes sense in its own context. Much of what you will find, are my own world views, in a magnified way, as to make it for interesting fiction. The story took a life of its own when I started to write and I’m really happy with it. Not all of the tags I have marked will immediately be applied. There is stuff planned for far in the future such as the Sci-fi tag. There might be some cursing and gore but it is not very often. -------------- English is not my primary language, so I ask everyone to be forgiving. If you see a glaring error I would appreciate a msg but it is not feasible to fix everything. And if the story offends you, I wish you happiness, reading what you enjoy. ------------- Img link: https://unsplash.com/photos/EwKXn5CapA4

Trial of Champions
It all began with a family trip to an amusement park. How were any of us to expect being transported from Earth to participate in some "Trial of Champions," whatever that was supposed to be? Given only an hour to choose the Classes that would come to define our strengths, we were almost immediately torn away from one another and thrust into a deadly game of survival. It wasn't all bad, though, as terrifying as it could be from time to time. The supernatural and magical powers of the Classes were like something out of an RPG, complete with leveling up by killing monsters and completing so-called "Sub-Trials." And despite the juicy Experience to be gained from killing other Champion Contestants, not all of the participants were bloodthirsty murderers; some could be allied with, or even befriended. Even if it seemed like everyone who had been chosen for this Trial, no matter what universe they came from, was at least a little bit crazy. I would survive this till the end, and I'd make sure that my siblings and parents did as well, no matter how many times we were separated from one another. No matter how long it took. No matter what I had to do. --- A first-person litRPG incorporating classes inspired by D&D and other sources. If you like blue boxes but don't need to have huge lists of numbers to scratch your itch, you should be satisfied on that front. Each chapter is, in my word processing document, seven pages long (approximately 3300-3900 words). The Traumatizing Content warning is there because of discussions of certain topics. Nothing that I think deserves the warning actually happens in the story.
