Lin Xiao memorized the three of them before he glanced at his incense stick. Upon seeing that he still had some time, he searched for the skill book that was related to the skills he already had.

"You dare to cripple a prince, do you think we would not take any action to you?" a teacher asked back coldly.

Beside him, Teacher Su Luo, who already had bad impression of Lin Xiao, was in an even sourer mood. She favored those with background and had good talent so what Lin Xiao did was absolutely unforgivable in her eyes. "You're nothing more than a trash. Someone like you should just stay silent when you're faced with the prince."

Lin Xiao arched his eyebrows. He sneered. "Prince Lin Kai attempted to cripple my younger brother but I'm not allowed to fight back just because I'm weak and don't have any background. Teacher, are you dumb? You're saying as if those without any background couldn't have power no matter what.

Do you forget that we're all cultivators? We're all fighting to become stronger so that we could go against anyone under the Heaven? Isn't that why there are a lot of people who are cultivating and tried to change their fate? Isn't it funny that there's a law that said we're not allowed to fight back unless we have good background?"

"You, shut up!"

A teacher raised his hand to stop Teacher Su Luo from continuing with her words. "Student Lin Xiao, please follow us. While you didn't break the school rules, but you have destroyed the future of a student. Because of that, you'll be locked for three months in the prison."

Lin Xiao nodded. He knew that Elder Wang must have already persuaded them one way or another so that his punishment wouldn't be that much. Three months was nothing much for him. Lin Yun furrowed his eyebrows but he nodded. "Please take care."

The students were all discussing by themselves when they were waiting outside. Hearing what Lin Xiao said in his defense resonate within them. Just how many of them actually have powerful background? There were only a few of them who did while most of them only have low background.
