"What?" Wang Jun was stunned by Lin Xiao's sudden declaration. Upon seeing how serious he looked like, he was absolutely shocked. "That…"

"I didn't agree yet."

"But you will."

Princess Lan Yi Hua pursed her lips and refused to talk more with Lin Xiao.

Seeing her like that, Lin Xiao was helpless but he didn't try to do anything out of the line. He looked at Elder Wang with curiosity. "Right, what are you doing here, Elder Wang?"

"I'm here as one of the teachers. Since you had already passed the first three months, you can now pick any classes you want to attend and your previous teacher will only teach the basic Qi class and not others. Also, you might want to wait until you have finished your Forest Trial before you use your chance to enter the Book Pavilion."

"Forest Trial?" Lin Xiao asked in confusion.

"It's a trial that's held twice a year and all disciples can come. In this trial, you'll enter the forest and then learn how to survive there in a group of three. Any beast that you defeat, you can keep the core and used it to train."

Lin Xiao's eyes lit up. Aside from Spirit Stone, another source of Qi that many people used was beast core. Of course, if they didn't want to absorb it directly, they could always trade it with Spirit Stones or gold coins depending on the price.

"From now on, you need to work on your theoretical knowledge." Elder Wang sighed. Upon recalling Lin Xiao's poor result, he felt as if his teaching over the span of few months before Lin Xiao entered Feng Yi City was for naught. Princess Lan Yi Hua patted Lin Xiao's shoulder. "We'll work together, ok?"

Wang Jun looked at the two of them. If he was not wrong, Princess Lan Yi Hua's theoretical knowledge was good, right? The only reason why her ranking was low this time was because she purposely left her sheet empty for most of them.

He looked at Lin Xiao with pity as he knew that the brat would have to learn a lot if he wished to catch up.

Lin Xiao made them all tried the mental test. Both Sui Wenyan and Fan Ling managed to reach the third but Xia Ye only barely passed the first step. Lu Jian also only passed the first step and couldn't last long for the second one.

The nine of them then returned back to their dorm as they arranged their schedule for their lives in the academy. Thankfully, the academy allowed them to have freedom for what they wanted to do and there were no strict rules or something like that except for the fact that they couldn't kill other students.

Except for training in the field under that sadist teacher, who didn't change the training method yet, they all have freedom for their classes. Lin Xiao and the others walked to some of the more interesting classes to study. Of course, Lin Xiao ended up having to read a lot of books to make up for his poor knowledge.

Just like that three months passed by swiftly.

The time for the forest trial was approaching.

Lin Xiao nodded. "Yes. The two of them are new alchemist that passed the test not long ago. By the way, where's the location for the forest trial?"

"Let's go then."

As their group came to the entrance of the forest trial, there were several other students who had already formed their group. Man of them followed after the prince but there were also those who formed their own group without caring for the prince.

After all, there was no obligation for them to follow the prince if they didn't want to.

Lin Xiao noticed Prince Lin Kai from a distance. Ever since the battle in the arena, Prince Lin Kai abhorred Lin Xiao very much. However, he was incapable to defeat Lin Xiao and thus, didn't try to make fun of himself anymore and simply watched from a distance with hatred burning in his eyes.

"Do you think he'll try to do something in the trial?"

"I don't think he'll be able to defeat me, though?" Lin Xiao asked as if stating a fact.

Sui Wenyan narrowed her eyes. "Just be careful."

"I will."

"Everyone gather here!" a teacher looked at the group of students who had gathered in the entrance and nodded. "Before entering the forest trial, you have to form a group of three. Of course, you can collaborate with other groups but once you enter the forest, you'll be sent to different places. You might not be able to meet with the group you want easily."

"Random teleportation?" Lin Xiao murmured to himself as his eyes lit up.
