"What is this?" Lin Xiao was stunned.

Behind him, the other three couldn't say anything either as they stared at the path before them.

Sui Wenyan was the first to break the silence. "Maybe, this is the real path towards the test place?"

Lin Xiao turned around and realized that the view behind him had changed too. It was now an empty place without any marking of the lush forest and the place they saw just now. He felt as if they have fallen into an illusion and now they were unable to wake up.

"Shall we walk?"

"Now?"

"Do you think we'll have the chance later?"

"Well, no."

Even though it was night time, the four of them were not really tired. It was not a big deal if they didn't sleep for a day or two since they were already powerful cultivators. In fact, they could use this chance to try walking this path.

"Let's try to walk this path then."

They looked at each other then nodded. "Alright."

Walking a few more steps, Sui Wenyan suddenly stopped. "There are people at the front."

"How many people?"

They might be far more powerful than Sui Wenyan even though she was already at Foundation Establishment Cultivators.

"Excuse me," Lin Xiao called out when they were near.

The first man simply looked at Lin Xiao. "Name."

"Eh?"

"He's asking for name." Lin Yun nudged his brother. 

"I'm Lin Xiao."

"Lin Yun."

"Sui Wenyan."

"Wenren Yu."

The man nodded and four plates appeared on his hand. He gave it to them, each had one. "You did well. This is the test location and you will stay here until the time for the test in two days' time."

Lin Xiao kept the plate and looked at the area. It seemed that he was correct. That small village was not the place where they held the test.
