Splash!
"Brother!"
"Master!"
The two called out in worry but noticed that Lin Xiao was still in the center of the bath without moving in the slightest bit. The two of them were stunned then they turned around.
Sui Wenyan was sitting not far from them, practicing with a bucket of water to control her soundwaves. She glanced in their direction when she sensed their gazes and arched her eyebrows. Her expression looked as if she was saying, 'Is there anything wrong with me training here?'
Lin Yun: "…"
Wenren Yu: "…"
You're making us panic, Wenyan!
Grumbling, Wenren Yu paid his attention back to Lin Xiao. He noticed that the water in the tub had decreased exponentially. It seemed that as the medicine was absorbed, the water would also be absorbed into Lin Xiao's body in accordance.
However, the color of the water started to turn murky as if someone spilled an ink into the tub.
"It's almost done."
Wenren Yu grabbed a few more herbs then placed it onto the bath. The water turned clear again and he waited. Once the water turned murky, he would add the herbs and then waited again.
Lin Yun watched the process with sweat on his back. If this continues, it meant that his brother would be in constant pain all along. However, he noticed that his brother no longer looked like he was in pain.
"Will the pain decrease as time continue?" Lin Yun asked.
"No, but your senses will be duller because you're numb to the pain after some time," Wenren Yu replied.
"Oh."
Since the pain continued to stay at the same level, it was Lin Xiao's tolerance that increased. Since that was the case, he wouldn't have as intense reaction as before when he was facing the medicinal bath. It was a good thing since it meant that he wouldn't suffer that much.

While they were talking, Lin Xiao was completely focused on the circulation. To make sure that he could tolerate the pain, he simply focused his attention to the circulation in his body and continued to focus to circulate his Qi all around his body. This was the only way he would be able to stay awake without shouting in pain all day long.
As time passed, Lin Xiao no longer felt any pain.
He furrowed his brows and tried to sense his surroundings before opening his eyes. Looking at Wenren Yu, he opened his mouth, "Is it done?"
His voice was hoarse despite not speaking for hours. It was as if the pain was also disrupting his vocal cord whilst strengthening his body in overall.
Wenren Yu nodded. The water had already cooled down and the color had turned into white. Unlike the murky water from before, this one was closer to the color of white rather than black. It was quite astonishing that the water could change color so quickly like that.
"Yes, congratulations, Master."
Lin Xiao nodded. He grabbed the side and tried to stand up…
Crack!
Huh?
Three pairs of eyes glanced to the tub that Lin Xiao held. It was made of wood, which was quite understandable that the tub wouldn't be able to hold on if Lin Xiao exerted great strength. However, there was no way Lin Xiao would want to exert so much strength just to get up.
Lin Xiao's lips twitched. He stood up and then stepped out.
Crack!
A hole was formed on the ground.
Lin Xiao: "…"
Lin Yun: "…"
Wenren Yu: "…"
Just how much did his strength increase to the point that he was unable to walk properly? Looking at the distance between him and the door, Lin Xiao felt headache. He tried to walk with less strength…

Crack!
"Brother, please control your strength." Lin Yun's lips twitched. He had seen how Lin Xiao suffered before, so he had no interest to do the same. Even if he his physical ability was lower, he didn't have the intention to increase his strength exponentially like his brother and ended up losing control of his own strength.
"I'm trying." Lin Xiao wanted to cry. He wanted to say that he didn't do it on purpose, but he felt that the word stuck in his throat. Damn it, why did he fail to control his strength.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
With each step, the floor was destroyed. Wenren Yu sighed and thought about the fact that he would be the one to repair the floor.
Forget it. It was good that Lin Xiao's physical strength increased.
In the meantime, Lin Hu was watching Lin Xiao with amusement. When Lin Xiao destroyed the floor with each step, he couldn't hold on anymore.
"BA HA HA HA HA HA AHA HAHAH!" Laughing loudly inside Lin Xiao's mind, Lin Hu didn't care that his master's face had turned black. He was thoroughly enjoying the moment when Lin Xiao failed to control his own strength.
'Shut up, Lin Hu!' Lin Xiao gritted his teeth.
"That's your retribution for trying to get so much strength in such a short period of time. Don't you know that your body wouldn't be able to withstand it and yet you're still trying to do it. Tsk, tsk, tsk."
'Lin Hu!'
Lin Hu sneered and looked at Lin Xiao. "At the very least, you now have the qualification to try absorbing the rest of the Spirit Stones and make your preparation to break through to Foundation Establishment."
Lin Xiao, who was about to curse Lin Hu loudly inside his mind, stopped in his track. He stood there with bewilderment and looked at the annoying dragon inside his consciousness. 'Are you serious?'
'Yes. You're already strong enough physically and there's not much you can do to increase your strength again. Normal training that you do wouldn't benefit you that much after that medicine bath. Tsk, tsk, tsk. To think that there's such potent medicine.'
On the other hand, Lin Xiao's eyes shone with happiness.
He wanted to breakthrough to Foundation Establishment as soon as possible!

Project G00
|Nanopunk |Crafting | Detailed Science and experiments | Inner thoughts | Bio-Robots | Evolution | Infodumps | Tell not Show | Insane to Sane | Slow and Detailed Pace | Puddle to Unknown | Artificial Intelligence | Trans-humanism | Bad Jokes | Moving 'Dungeon' Core | Hi! I am G00. I am a project made by some weirdo. Some may refer to me as the wobbly thing in the fridge or the slimy thing in the ceiling. Others might tell you about that sticky thing inside your nose. In the end, they called me the Seed of Life, yet didn’t tell me what I was supposed to become. Furthermore, it just happens that this stage was the most miserable place to reincarnate... Reincarnate as in… What the hell did I become?! (Whispers) You are a puddle. A puddle? (Whispers) Yes. C’mon little guy, say your lines! You’re live right now! Welcome to puddle-springs aka the afterlife of a puddle. CUT! Eh? Why?! No edition or photoshop needed?! We’re short on puddle-staff. The camera is broken, I am broken, and you are broken. Wait! How can a puddle be broken? You are not a puddle, you are frozen yogurt. NOOOOOOOOOO! Additional summary: Spoiler: Spoiler Humanity has finally made the second step towards space. Many developments were taking place at the time this happened. All of them accomplished thanks to nanotechnology. Inventions regarding Artificial Intelligence and nanorobotics created the opportunity, a way to terraform planets by sending nanorobots to space. Their orders? Colonizing and preparing the new worlds before humanity's arrival, aka terraforming. Meet G00, a weird agglomeration of nanomachines. A bit stupid, but it's not because he was like that. The little guy... 'He' is really broken. The hardest start of a story is when language is oddly misunderstood, when you know nothing of the place you just arrived; when your companion is a buggy system, and when you have to repair yourself with whatever trash you can scavenge from your surroundings. All of this while you fight your worst enemy: potatoes? What will you do in an unfamiliar circumstance where nothing is what it seems and where you won't even understand the boring ramblings of a confused main character? Well, patience will... probably have a reward? Additional tags and disclaimers: Read before starting the story: Harem: Not included for the moment, depends on characters added, votes by readers, and things that happen on the go. Magic: Far away chapters maybe... as part of high level or non-understandable things by science. Slice of life: Probably some parts will include it. Disclaimer #1: Crazy amount of content about high-tech info-dumps, slow pace, starts with biology and nanotechnology. Might have some weird jokes and puns. Game bugs are also possible. Disclaimer #2: No puddles were harmed during the making of this story. No character is real, no real puddle was used as part of the cast. Character is stupid at the start on purpose but he will get beta and beta. All written content follows a logical approach no matter how stupid it appears to be, maybe… Because it’s just a raccoon splashing some cotton-candy over a puddle after it was thrown. Yup, a bully raccoon with rabies or so it seems.

Adelaide
The entries here are transcribed from the log of Marie Ruiz, first mate of the Adelaide. It was definitely, definitely not published without her permission or knowledge by a certain lovable artificial intelligence for the purpose of sharing it with my AI friends on other ships who follow it like a soap opera. No way, no how. Remember guys, don’t go spreading this around too much. Only pass it on to those you can trust. God forbid this should ever end up on a public network… (Adelaide is a science fiction web serial featuring the adventures of a crew of smugglers. In space. It’s on the softer end of the soft/hard sci-fi spectrum because the author got a C in physics. Updates every other Sunday.)
