Nothing could prove better than this mark. The mark was different from any mark that existed in the world and it could be said to be unique to the Emperors chosen by the Heaven.

Even Sui Wenyan had realized the significance of the mark as she suck out her breath.

The two young women bowed in succession. Lin Xiao was bewildered and turned to look at Wenren Yu, who was also perplexed. It seemed that Wenren Yu's background was too low and his position was unremarkable back then. This made him unable to understand the significance of this mark.

Qiu Si was from a scholarly family and naturally she had learned so many things when she was at her home back then before she finally decided to join Taiyi Sect. Because of that, she had already seen the picture of this crown mark in books.

It was said that only those who had this mark would be able to become the true Emperor.

Not only an Emperor that was rising to the throne because he was the first in line but the one that had the power to do that. Even if the person who obtained the mark came from a lowly family, as long as he had the qualification, he would be able to become the Emperor.

That was the meaning of this mark.

As someone who understood the history well, Qiu Si didn't dare to be neglectful in front of Lin Xiao. She knew that the person in front of her would become the Emperor. No matter what other people said, she knew that it would happen.

"Your Highness, this subject will follow whatever path you choose."

Lin Xiao looked at Qiu Si with bewilderment and then stretched his hand to help her stand up. "There's no need for such formality. As of now, I'm nothing more but a candidate. Because of that, I need your help instead."

The others focused their attention on Lin Xiao. Despite his youthful face and also immature action, the voice he spoke out carried authority. "I have so many things I need to learn and for that, I need your guidance to help me so that I won't be shamed due to my lack of knowledge."

Qiu Si smiled. "This one comes from scholarly family. While I might not be able to say that I'm on par with those who become formal official, I'll do my best to help you to learn history and also the teaching in Sun Kingdom."

"That's great!" Lin Xiao's eyes lit up.

"Wenyan will try to join Sun Dragon Academy this New Year." Qiu Si recalled about that. She then looked at Lin Xiao. While those with the mark will surely become an Emperor, it would be a joke if he couldn't attend the best academy.

"Would you also try to join, Your Highness?"

His age should be lower than 20 based on his appearance. Qiu Si also knew that Lin Xiao might be only Body Training Rank 10, but it should be enough to grant him qualification to enter Sun Dragon Academy.

As for his rank… that was still unknown.

"Yes. I'm only 17 years old, so I'm still qualified to join," Lin Xiao admitted.

Qiu Si nodded. She was already 24 years old, which made her unable to participate in the examination. She had already passed her golden age ever since long ago and might be stuck in Foundation Establishment Stage for her entire life. It was unknown when she would be able to advance again.

She could only try to work hard.

'If only the elders are here…' Thinking about the elders at Taiyi Sect in the past, Qiu Si sighed. She knew that the sect was there to help the future emperor should there be someone who was chosen by the Heaven.

That was the only reason why Taiyi Sect was special.

Klak!

The door opened and everyone's attention landed on the door. A man, Zhongsun Shan, walked into the room. He blinked his eyes when he saw them all there. "Wife, what is this?"

"Oh, our juniors are bringing someone special to us." Qiu Si smiled bitterly.

Wife?

The mind of Lin Xiao and the other two felt like it was about to explode. They couldn't believe that the man they had been talking with for the past few months would turn out to be a disciple from Taiyi Sect.

How could things be so convenient?

In the end, Qiu Si explained everything while Zhongsun Shan listened carefully. The fact that there were several outer disciples from Taiyi Sects that still managed to escape was very good.

Looking at Lin Xiao, Zhongsun Shan sighed. "I already thought that you're not ordinary when I first meet you. However, I never thought that you're actually someone who's that powerful."

"Yes?"

"Shan used to be in Dragon Guard Army," Qiu Si explained. "It's the best guard in Sun Kingdom but because he sees something bad and know how rotten the people at Sun Kingdom, he led rebellions."

Rebellions?

Lin Xiao was speechless. He felt like he was facing someone whom he needed to be wary off.

"The rebellions failed," Zhongsun Shan explained and smiled bitterly. 

Lin Xiao: "…" that's the point?

(A/N): The four characters, Wenren Yu, Sui Wenyan, Zhongsun Shan, and Qiu Si were from the WPC page. I used the example that WN provided there for this novel by implementing the characters and some background story that's provided there.

While I might not know what the entire story that the WN actually provided at the page, I tried to make it quite similar. Still, everything that I wrote in the end followed the storyline that I make and not just what WN had showed at the very beginning.

There are only these four characters that WN showed, so I chose to just use them as I see fit in the story I make.
