《Rise of the Great Emperor 》Chapter 133: Who’s the Oriole? (2)

*cough* *cough*
Bo Wu felt as if he was already at the death's door. Because he was the closest to the man and also the one who was slower, he didn't manage to escape far. His back was scorched hot because of the attack just now.
Right now, he wanted nothing more but to skin that man alive. If only it was possible, he wished that he could torture and kill that man who came to him just now in the most gruesome method he could think of. To think that he would fall into such annoying attack in this time.
The man in white was not any better. His previously clean white robe was now dirty and his hair was messy. There was no longer any trace of him being a powerful cultivator who had good background anymore.
Granted, it was not easy to escape from that kind of desperate attack.
When a cultivator was already at his wits end and chose to destroy himself in exchange for eliminating one's enemy, the power he could generate was very big. It was as if the Heaven was giving him mercy and allowed him to take revenge by granting him large power to destroy his enemy.
While this method didn't always work, if they could make sure their enemies were close enough, they might be able to take him down with them. That way, the two of them would die together.
Swish!
Bo Wu was about to launch a series of curses when he felt that something was near him. He was alarmed and about to attack when he felt something hit his neck and there was faint sound of tearing flesh.
His eyes widened in disbelief. This…
Slash!
His head was no longer attached to his body. Without him knowing, there was already someone standing in front of him, cutting of his head like cutting vegetables. His head was grabbed while his body was left behind.

Lin Xiao kept the head inside his Spatial Ring without hesitation then used Moon Evasion to appear outside of the village once more. Thanks to the destruction of the buildings and the rest, it was hard for them to know what was happening. Dust covered the air, effectively blocking their vision from the front.
'Brother,' Lin Yun whispered.
When that man destroyed himself, Lin Xiao was still near the window and only used the bed to cover himself. But as soon as the explosion rang out, Lin Xiao rushed out and reappeared right beside Bo Wu.
With his keen senses that he had honed during the time he worked as hunter, Lin Xiao could pinpoint Bo Wu's location very clearly. This allowed him to assassinate Bo Wu without the need to exert so much strength then disappeared right afterwards.
Both Wenren Yu and Lin Yun wanted to follow him, but then they changed trajectory to outside the village. With so many people were running away from the fight, they wouldn't look that strange.
"Let's go."
Lin Xiao only gave one order and Wenren Yu along with Lin Yun already departed with him. They used Moon Evasion and swiftly rushed over to the edge of the forest without caring for the destruction that they had left behind in Ri Village.
As for that man in white… well, they hoped that there was no way the person himself would know about this.
*cough* *cough*
The man in white looked towards the direction of the man with gleam in his eyes. He couldn't understand why this person would do so much for his friend. Not everyone would be decisive enough to kill themselves.
'Or maybe he's a servant?'
If a servant failed to protect their master, their ending would only be death. Because of that, there was not much difference between them taking revenge or just wait for their death from their own family because of their failure.

Some of them would surely take revenge this way and then killed themselves. This way, they could make their death more useful and if they have family members, the family wouldn't harm their own family.
"Bo Wu, you…"
The man in white wanted to call Bo Wu to ask him to clean up when he felt that there was something wrong. His senses were partially disturbed when the man exploded himself and destroyed everything, but he was still a Foundation Establishment Cultivators.
It meant that he was still powerful enough.
If someone tried to sneak attack at him when he was unprepared, he would still be able to get out unscathed unless his enemy was far more powerful than him.
At this moment, he couldn't sense Bo Wu's presence. It was as if Bo Wu was already dead because of the attack just now. Because the dusts were preventing him from looking, the man in white's expression was already very ugly.
"Good, very good. I already spend effort to save you but you're so useless."
The man in white waited a few more seconds until the dust settled before he could see the figure lying on the ground. Based on the way it looked like, there was a pool of blood under Bo Wu's body along with the scorching back that was the result of the explosion.
Feeling enraged, the man in white kicked Bo Wu's body.
Kick!
Bang!
The body landed on the wall and destroyed it. The man in white's eyes narrowed when he sensed that there was something wrong. With a swift movement, he landed by Bo Wu's body and realized that the man's head disappeared.
His pupil contracted.
He would be an idiot if he still didn't realize what had happened after seeing that painful mark. Someone was here to assassinate Bo Wu and from the way it looked like, the assassin was patient enough to wait until the battle reached the climax.
He thought that he was the smart one to appear at the later time.
But there was another oriole lurking behind.
"DAMN YOU!"
Bang!
In anger, the man in white began to destroy everything he could see.

This is my first attempt at writing a story. I am a complete beginner at this. The closest thing to an organized story I’ve ever written is essay reports back in high school. There might be syntax errors and weird language all over the place. So, apologies in advance. I’ll be trying my best to make this story as interesting as possible, and with your feedback I am sure I can make something nice out of it. Constructive criticism is appreciated. And you are welcome to comment any errors you might notice. I’ll try to fix them up as soon as I can. For now, I don’t have a schedule. But if the story gets traction, I will try to work something out. **Cover Image Drawn by me.
