《Rise of the Great Emperor 》Chapter 131: Having a ‘Talk’ (3)

"Heh." The man sneered. "So you can also get angry when your friend died. I thought that you're the one who said that when your friend died, you can just search for another one."
Bo Wu's eyes turned red. He felt like his face was slapped when the man repeated what he had said to the other party just a moment ago. "Just shut up! I'll never let you off for killing him!"
"That's good as well for me. Because I would never let you off just like that!"
Clang! Clang! Clang!
Series of metal clashing against each other filled the street. The other two, who were intending to help were now pushed to the background. Both Bo Wu and the man were pushing their speed to the limit in a contest of who was the strongest and fastest.
Their sword and saber were swung with the intention to kill but the other party would not let them get what they wanted so easily.
The fight had turned into a standstill.
"It'll end soon," Lin Xiao murmured.
Lin Yun looked at his brother and arched his eyebrows. "Do you have any intention to barge in and help, Brother? This can be a good chance for us to eliminate Bo Wu from this village for once and all."
"No."
"Why?"
"There are people who are watching the fight just like us. If we just barge in now, we're going to fall for their trap." Lin Xiao's eyes glinted with ruthlessness for a split second.
"What?"
Wenren Yu, who had also ended his training sighed when he saw Lin Yun's expression. Lin Yun might be a bit smarter than Lin Xiao in some field, but in terms of senses and all, Lin Xiao was definitely better.

He was also watching from the window in his room, so he could guess that the people Lin Xiao meant was a Foundation Establishment Cultivator. That person was watching from a distance away, from a restaurant. From his elegant behavior and the way he conducted himself, it was easy to conclude that he must be someone of high rank.
However, they didn't recognize him in the slightest bit.
"Who is that?" Lin Yun asked in confusion.
Lin Xiao looked at the restaurant with narrowed eyes. As a hunter, he was certainly very keen of killing intent and also the movement of Qi. There were many beasts who tried to hide their presence, but he still managed to find them after rigorous training.
Human was certainly different, but they have some similarities with beasts. Lin Xiao himself was sure that the person in front of him was someone who was exceedingly powerful.
As for why he was there… Lin Xiao had the feeling that he was watching over Bo Wu.
Why?
He didn't know.
'Lin Hu, can you know what other people's intention is?'
Lin Hu looked at his master as if he was looking at an idiot. 'Master, do you think I'm a prophet? There's no way I can know what other people is thinking unless they show it on their faces. Besides, what you're asking is whether that person is protecting Bo Wu or not, right?'
'Yes.' Lin Xiao kept a straight expression, not wanting the dragon to know that he was embarrassed having his intent leaked out.
'I don't know. It's hard to say, but his killing intent is not directed at Bo Wu, so I guess he must be of Bo Wu's side.'
'Oh?'
Lin Xiao looked over to the restaurant once more and sighed. Just when he wanted to make a move, he found out that there was someone powerful who was watching. Thankfully, he chose not to act rashly this time.

Or he would end up like the mantis who stalk on a cicada without realizing the oriole behind was watching. (A/N: this is a metaphor, meaning that the second person tried to take advantage, but he failed to realize that there was someone who was more powerful watching from behind to take action)
Clang! Slash!
At the sound of flesh torn, Lin Xiao averted his attention to look at the fight once more. His eyebrows arched when he saw that the second follower of Bo Wu had died under the man's hand. It seemed as if the man was adamant not to take things lying down and targeted Bo Wu's followers to make sure that he could gain something from this attack.
It was not a bad strategy, but he didn't realize that there was someone else who was watching.
"Do you want to help him, Brother?" Lin Yun asked when he saw Lin Xiao watching even more intently.
"No."
"Why?"
"First, I'm not a saint who will help anyone I met. Secondly, I don't want to fall into a trap set by other people," Lin Xiao replied placidly. He was never a saint who would help everyone who was in difficult position. If the other party was his friend, that would be a different story.
They were nothing more than strangers and there was someone else who was watching from a distance. Unless he wanted to seek his own burial ground, he would not come forward and get involved.
"Oh…" Lin Yun murmured then nodded. He focused his attention again to the man and Bo Wu, who were still fighting against each other.
"Bastard!" Bo Wu was thoroughly enraged when he saw his follower died again. His sword was swung rapidly towards the man without caring for anything anymore. In his mind, he could only think of defeating the man as fast as possible before he lost the last person whom he needed to do his dirty work.
He didn't want to lose his followers because he would find it difficult to find the replacement. Not everyone wanted to do dirty work and these three could only be found after a long search.
Clang!
The man sneered. "Do you think you can defeat me when your strength is lower than me?"
"You…"
Swish!
At this moment, pressure suddenly dawned onto the two people.
