《Rise of the Great Emperor 》Chapter 117: Alchemist Association

Smack!
"Hey! What's that for?" Lin Xiao swiftly covered his head and looked at his younger brother.
"That's for bringing us into trouble." Lin Yun smiled without mirth in his eyes. While he might look amiable at times, he would not hesitate to beat up other people if it was necessary. He was not a pampered boy despite living under Lin Xiao's protection all this time.
Lin Xiao rolled his eyes. "I'm not doing that on purpose!"
"Anyway, what benefit do you get?"
"Benefit?"
"From the enlightenment," Lin Yun continued. He pointed at his brother. "You do realize that you fall into enlightenment just now, right?"
"Ah…?"
Seeing the stupid expression on Lin Xiao's face, the others instantly knew that Lin Xiao didn't realize it. He only knew what had happened after the other two told him that the state he was in was called enlightenment.
Lin Xiao scratched the back of his head and pondered slightly. He didn't think that much when he was running away, but he felt as if his body was lighter. As far as he could see, he didn't lose weight, so it could only mean that his skill improved at such a short period of time.
Punching forward, Lin Xiao also tried to check the power he could harness. Astonishment flashed within his eyes.
"I think… I just get stronger?"
"Your rank?" Lin Yun asked.
Lin Xiao shook his head. He looked at his own fist. "No, my rank is still Body Training Rank 9, but I feel that my strength had increased by leaps and bounds. My current strength is now on par with both of you."
Inside Lin Xiao's consciousness, Lin Hu rolled his eyes. On par? It was more likely that Lin Xiao would be able to give the other two a good thrashing. As it was Lin Xiao's first time to gain enlightenment, he didn't realize that the increase in his strength was not only a little bit like what he thought.

However, Lin Hu chose not to say anything and just let Lin Xiao figured it out by himself. That brat still needed to learn how to control his own strength too.
"That's amazing," Lin Yun said with excitement. He also wanted to get enlightenment like his brother!
Wenren Yu glanced to the sky and looked at the sun. The sun's position told him that it was still evening. There should be enough time for them to visit the Alchemist Association for a few minutes before having rest.
"Shall we head to Alchemist Association first? It's not far from here."
"Hmm?"
Lin Xiao looked at the metal plates in front of the buildings around him. He was still in an unfamiliar place, but he knew for sure that the area around him should be at the west side of Feng Yi City. After connecting to the map that he remembered, he knew that Wenren Yu was right.
Alchemist Association was located two streets away from here.
"Let's go then."
"Ok."
This time, the three of them didn't use their Qi when they traveled. After using Moon Evasion several times, they were already tired enough. There was no need for them to waste their strength just to travel several thousand meters.
The Alchemist Association itself was only a large building with the word written at the front. Lin Xiao was even more astonished by how ordinary the building looked as he entered inside. The smell of herbs instantly assaulted his nose as his brain recalled the lesson he had with Wenren Yu and Lin Yun.
'Moon Dew Grass, Fiery Rock Temper, Cloud Yun Grass, Yellow Sun Flower….'
Muttering the name of the herbs inside his mind, Lin Xiao looked at Lin Yun behind him. "Is it the Qi Gathering Pill?"

Lin Yun nodded. "Qi Gathering Pill is the most basic medicine that every Alchemist have to learn how to make. Besides, it's also very useful to help you replenish the Qi when you're training."
Training skills would require them to use their Qi and if they couldn't recover their Qi fast, their progress would be slow. Because of that, Body Training Cultivators usually bought a lot of Qi Gathering Pill in order to help them in their training.
Lin Xiao didn't have the luxury to use Qi Gathering Pill in the past. While it was not impossible for Lin Yun or Wenren Yu to make it, they didn't have enough ingredients to sustain Lin Xiao's training. It was only when they were training with Elder Wang that they gained enough materials.
Both Wenren Yu and Lin Yun were also capable to make the pill.
As for Lin Xiao…
It was already good enough if he didn't make the cauldron explode because of a mistake in his control.
"Are you going to apply too, Yun?"
Lin Yun nodded. "I'm only good at concocting medicine aside from taking care of herbs. I'm sure that it wouldn't take long for me to pass the test."
"Alright. I'll wait for you."
Lin Xiao and the other two entered the hall. He registered Lin Yun and Wenren Yu while he himself would stay to watch and wait. With these two capabilities, he believed that they would be able to finish the examination without any problem.
Looking around them, there were several other people inside the room. From the way it looked like, it seemed that there would be quite a lot of people who take the test at the same time.
"I didn't know Alchemist Association have a lot of people who want to participate," Lin Xiao commented.
"Alchemist Association is a big organization that didn't exist only in Sun Kingdom," Wenren Yu said in low tone. "It's not that weird that many people wish to latch onto this big thigh if they can."
"Are there any other associations?"
"Related to medicine?"
"Yes."
Wenren Yu tilted his head and slowly shook his head. "As far as I know there's none. Besides, who do you think have the capabilities to go against this big Alchemist Association?"

The Undead Revolution
This was my first attempt at writing a story, in hiatus indefinitely. This story follows Silvy, half-elf, a rare race despised by both humans and elves. Having never met her father, the first years of her life were spent together with her mother, who had to leave her native village because of the blasphemy she had committed by giving birth to Silvy. At the age of eight, Silvy became an orphan and was left to fend for herself. Her mother had died of illness, Silvy’s life turning upside down: the child went from living in a modest but cozy home with poor but daily meals to live outside the walls in the slums, where crime was commonplace and food was scarce. Luck had yet to abandon her completely though, because a group of orphans like Silvy decided to help, integrating her into their group and teaching the tricks of the trade; that is, stealing and swindling. But fate had not yet finished playing with her. Kidnapped and frightened, her life will turn upside down again when she awakens as undead, but still able to think clearly.
