《My Unconventional Delivery System! 》Chapter 13: Spiritual Eye

Kyle was back in his world, before seeing his rewards he decided to end his shift for today first, it was very important after all. He didn't want to lose his only way of income in this world which he was very likely to lose if he waited here for the rewards.
After a few rounds of delivering food, he was finally finished with his work and ended his shift for today, as usual he greeted and exchanged good-byes with them before leaving.
With his shift done, he went to a place where there were very few people around. It was to save himself from prying eyes and also deal with any unforeseen outcome that may occur in case he got a powerful item with visual phenomena when taken out. He was also anticipating if he got something good from Kuro!
Finally he took a deep breath and became mentally prepared as he spoke. "System, my rewards, please!"
[ Congratulations, Host! You have received a 5 star rating from The Dragon of Death,Kuro! ]
[ You have received a Lottery Ticket x1 for your successful delivery! ]
[ You have received 1 Silver tier Reward and 2 Golden tier Rewards! Which would you like to open first? ]
Kyle was elastic at the mention of the 2 golden tier rewards!
This was the first time he had gotten a golden reward! He couldn't help but think 'Kuro is really generous!'
Kyle didn't want to wait any longer, he was extremely curious about what the rewards were like!
Naturally, he chose to open the Silver Tier Reward first! "System, open the Silver Tier Reward!"
[ Congratulations you have received ( Kuro's Tooth ) ]
Seeing this, Kyle couldn't help but exclaim. "WTF?"
He was speechless as he found that the Reward was Kuro's Tooth! But what was even more bewildering was the fact that without making it a weapon or anything of the sorts or even enchanting it, it still turned out to be a Silver Tier Reward!
Kyle was absolutely astounded by this display.
Kyle didn't complain that he just received a Tooth, as far as he was concerned this tooth was worth an entire province's weight in gold! It was a very rare ingredient to have.
He took out Kuro's Tooth, to see it's details.

'The Dragon of Death - Kuro's Tooth'
Rank : Rare (Approaching Unique)
Details : In the history of Kuro's world, there is nor will there be any record of anyone getting her tooth, much less owning one. This tooth is extremely sharp to the point that it can easily slice the hardest metal known to humanity of Kuro's world. Use this with caution, an extremely poisonous object, except for the Existence known as 'Kobayashi Kyle' no one can touch or even be near this tooth or else Death is certain to come, for they will slander the gift of the one who controls death itself.
Kyle was dumbfounded at the shown details, he knew that this was stronger than 'The Promise' even in this object form and would be an absolute monster if made into a weapon. What he didn't expect was that it would be extremely lethal to anyone other than himself.
"This tooth… if we speak in RPG terms this would be called something akin to a soul bound item, as no one other than me or someone as powerful as the one who binded it to me, as in Kuro, can use this item."
Kyle put back Kuro's Tooth in his space inventory, this weapon was more dangerous than 'The Promise' currently none of his weapon collection was safe for public use.
"System! Open the 2 Golden Tier Rewards!"
[ Congratulations you have received ( Physical Enchantment Magic ) ]
[ Congratulations you have received ( Spiritual Eye ) ]
As soon as he received 'Physical Enchantment Magic', just like when he received Esdeath's experiences the same thing happened! Knowledge regarding its uses and description got imprinted in his mind.
And when it came to the other ability, 'Spiritual Eye', it was more of a permanent transformation. Kyle started feeling a burning sensation in his left eye and it escalated quickly, he didn't feel pain, no it wasn't painful at all, just very uncomfortable, like a bad itch in an unreachable place. It just felt bad, plain bad!
This was a very unique and new feeling that he was currently feeling and it was incredibly unpleasant! He didn't want to feel like this again, but he knew that if he continued this path pain much worse was waiting for him!
After a few minutes, that unpleasant feeling slowly disappeared and Kyle sighed in relief.

But then he came to a sudden realization that his surroundings became vastly different when seen through his right eye. Everything felt much more clear, too much even! He even saw things that were long distances away quite clearly!
It was different in his left eye where the long distanced sights were rather blurry and even the normal sight wasn't that clear. Nevertheless, this wasn't of any concern to him.
What concerned him immediately was the horrific looking creature which was currently eying him with bloodshot eyes!
The creature was mumbling something in a soul shuddering language, he didn't understand any of it, how could he, when his whole body was shivering in fright!
'WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT THING?!' Kyle exclaimed inwardly, he was feeling abysmally scared at this creature of horror, coming straight out of someone's nightmare!
The creature noticed his gaze, and slowly crawled down from the wall and approached him.
Kyle's back started sweating profusely, he could even hear his heart, beating in a frantic, erratic and frightening rhythm, as if noticing it the creature hastened its speed.
It was getting closer and closer, on it's last steps it jumped on Kyle, he on the other hand closed his eyes instinctively.
A few moments passed, but the pain or any sort of feeling Kyle was expecting never came, he opened his left eye at first and saw nothing in the surroundings. The creature was nowhere to be found.
This made him confused, but then he also opened his right eye.
Immediately he saw that the creature was just an inch away from him, nailing him with its bloodshot eyes!
The blood from his face slowly drained, as his face went deadly pale in absolute fright!
Kyle did his best not to scream, this was by far the scariest encounter that he had in both his lives combined!
..
..
..
Half a hour later :-
He learned a lot from this recent scary experience.
1. He figured out that his right eye could see things which were normally impossible for normal people. It was akin to the skill 3rd eye found in most video games. In his case it was called Spiritual Eye, it may have other uses but they were unknown to him for now. It could also be said that it's abilities were locked since he wasn't powerful enough.
2. His vision reached its perfect state and went beyond the human limits.
3. The scary looking creature of horrors was just a spirit and it wasn't the only one
4. The spirits can't harm him at least if he is on his physical form, he didn't know if he attained spiritual form or any other bullshit of that caliber in the future then they could harm him or not.
5. If he closed his right eye he wouldn't be able to see the spirits and the ability maybe gets deactivated.
Kyle's fears lessened a lot after he was able to form these conclusions, however it didn't change the fact that it was a very scary experience!
He might have a system, but he was a very ordinary person with an equally ordinary mentality, except for his weebdom that is!
It was already a miracle that he didn't scream like a little girl and piss himself in fright.
It wasn't like that when he saw the dragons or the boar-like creature solely because he knew what to expect and that he had already known about them from before. But the spirit was a new experience for him. As they say humans were afraid of the unknown, it was the same for Kyle.
Kyle didn't know, but it would take him a while to get used to these kinds of things, after all he would have to deal with things much scarier in the future.
Though it couldn't hurt him, it was scary nonetheless! It was like playing a horror game. You know that it wasn't real but you'd feel fear nonetheless.
Though he could just cover his right eye so that it would end the issue altogether but he wasn't a coward. He wanted to get used to things like this. So he decided to mentally prepare himself for all kinds of scary encounters from now on. He felt like a certain main character from a Spiritual Horror anime at the moment.
Then Kyle saw the message that Kuro made, he couldn't really focus before as he saw some creepy things.
Hence he started slowly reading it.
