《Genocide Online ~Playtime Diary of an Evil Young Girl~》Chapter 9: Underground Tomb Exploration 5

We kept on exploring deep down and found a somewhat hidden room. Hmm…, from the gist of it, it seems to be locked from inside.
I don’t have any unlocking skills so… how do I do this? ……should I purchase it?
Kageyama: 『UuuUー』
Rena: 「Oya? What’s wrong, Kageyama-san?」
Kageyama-san went out of my shadow for a moment and slipped in through the gap of the hidden room’s door. Then, a few moment had passed and I heard a 『Gachaa』 sound from inside. But, is this fine…? Probably yes….
Rena: 「Thank you very much, Kageyama-san」
Kageyama: 『Uu!』
I thanked Kageyama-san who had just returned to my shadow, and we went inside the hidden room. The inside is not very large and the only thing that is present is a slightly luxurious treasure chest.
Rena: 「This seems suspicious, yes…」
No matter how you look at it, this is obviously a trap, but let’s try to open it as we can’t advance without even checking it first.
Rena: 「Now then, will it be demons or rather snakes that come out…」
I gently reached out to the treasure chest and it suddenly moved and tried to bite my hand.
Rena: 「! That’s dangerous, indeed…」
I immediately backstepped and took some distance from the monster while seeing the popup over its head.
Race: 『Mimic』 | Level: 『13』
Condition: 『Normal』
A mimic, I see?
It’s not a monster that I’m looking for but, I could try to tame it and still have one spare slot left in the party.
Rena: 「Okay then, let’s try to give it a painful experience.」
The level is a bit higher than us so let’s turn it into a sandbag for Yamada-san and the others.
Rena: 「From here on your name will be Santa-san」
Santa: 『Gaaa?!』
Rena: 「There’s no right of veto, by the way.」

Santa: 『Gaa……』
Let’s check the status of Santa-san who I had just tamed.
Name: 『Santa-san』
Race: 『Mimic』 | Level: 『13』
Condition: 『Normal』
【Skill・Page】
『Mimicry Lv. 3』『Night Vision Lv. 3』『Concealment Lv. 2』『Treasure Possession Lv. 4』『Light Magic Lv. 4』『Illusion Magic Lv. 2』『Magic Enhancement Lv. 2』『Mental Abnormality Resistance Lv. -』
【Title・Page】
『Rena’s Follower』 – A monster that successfully became Rena’s follower – 〚Increases buff effects received from the master 《Small》〛
Hoho, he’s also very… Oya? I understand with mimicry but, 《Treasure Possession》? This is a pleasant miscalculation but, is there any treasure-like item that I brought with me…?
Ah, speaking of which, there should have been an expensive-looking necklace which I had received from the Temple’s Bishop that time.
Rena: 「Would this be good?」
Santa: 『Gaa!』
He possessed it without problems, I see.
I wear it on my neck and equipped it as an accessory.
…………oh, this necklace unexpectedly has a nice effect, as expected from the Bishop.
She’s truly a role model for every priests as she still give charity to the people even when she’s dead.
Rena: 「Well, it seems there’s only one slot left.」
The last one should be a rare one, hence it might take some time to find it… Though, it’s better to conquer this area first and then search for it later, so let’s go with ease.
Race: 『Living Armor』 | Level: 『17』
Condition: 『Normal』
「We will reach the boss soon, I guess?」 was what I had thought before the last monster makes its appearance.
As it’s a high-leveled humanoid-type monster, I can’t do the same as the previous four.
Rena: 「Let’s go from here.」
Whilst the other party didn’t make a move, I lowered my posture and plunged in, tackled its waist and brought it down perfectly.
Then, I inserted my dagger into the gap between the back of the elbow and the back of the knee to dismantle it. I bashed it with the dagger’s hilt when it had just turn into a daruma doll. Kageyama-san pinned it down from the shadow and Azabu-san perturbed its balance with wind magic.

(TL Note: Daruma.)
Living Armor: 『----iiiIII! IIIiiiIII!』
……? I don’t understand a single word from it.
For the time being, I tried to activate 《Tame》… but it’s a failure, I see?
I, then tied and hung the living armor up with a rope and gave some hits while roasting it on top of the torch. It’s probably best to just wait around three minutes, I guess?
Living Armor: 『----iiII! ーーIIiiIII!』
Three minutes had passed and I activated 《Tame》 again… This time, it was a success, that’s good.
If it had failed, I can just put the torch inside the living armor and drag it around until we reach the boss room, though.
Living Armor: 『……』
Somehow I felt a disgust gaze on me, but I ignored it.
I would rather do a status check first.
Name: 『Undecided』
Race: 『Living Armor』 | Level: 『17』
Condition: 『Normal』
【Skill・Page】
『Walking Lv. 3』『Night Vision Lv. 3』『Sword Art Lv. 2』『Armor Possession Lv. 4』『Physical Strengthening Lv. 4』『Endurance Strengthening Lv. 2』『Defense Strengthening Lv. 2』『Mental Abnormality Resistance Lv. -』
【Title・Page】
『Rena’s Follower』 – A monster that successfully became Rena’s follower – 〚Increases buff effects received from the master 《Small》〛
It’s quite strong, so I’m satisfied with it.
Next is, about the name….
Rena: 「Your name will be Inoue-san from today.」
Inoue: 『……IIii』
He sounded sad for some reason, I wonder why?
Rena: 「Oh well, leaving that aside, could you possess this light armor?」
Inoue: 『iiII!』
He possessed it perfectly. The stats seem to be better than what I had before. Splendid.
Let’s charge into the boss room as it is.
Rena: 「Now then, let’s aim towards the boss room while we team up against small fries and raise everyone’s level along the way!」
They responded in unison. It’s good to have some motivation, hence let’s continue capturing just like this.

Finding out it was the world he was thinking of and having little to no memory about his past life, he decided to become the strongest. Just like to point out that I don't own My Hero Academia, it belongs to someone else and all that jazz. Please don't sue me, cheers. Neither do I own the cover photo, if the owner wants it removed, message me. Heavily inspired by another fiction on the site called Ascending Hero by WinterFrost.

Manifesto
Sometimes, even the most outright affront to liberty seems to be justified under certain contexts. Or maybe I should stop reading about Stalin, I think it's affecting me.

Blood Seekers -- The Monolith
Blood Seekers - Book 1, is now on Amazon, including the final chapters not posted here! https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B07MYJ5ZRC “You will die!” That's what the developers of Blood Seekers promised them... The most challenging MMO ever created—that’s how they advertised it. Taglines like, “Not your granddaddy’s game,” and, “Only for the hardest of the hardcore,” had gamers going crazy. Set in a gothic, Lovecraftian world, with fully realized A.I. NPCS, gamers were desperate to get their hands on the new game and dive in, and Clay was one of them. It was going to be tough, but he was ready for it. What he wasn’t ready for, was countless players having their minds hijacked and being transformed into mindless, hostile creatures filled with nothing but hate who killed anyone on sight. They called them the Bloodless. Clay’s best and only friend, Rey, moved across the country she was twelve, but they kept in touch online, playing countless games together, and when Blood Seekers was released, they were both ready to step up to the plate and face the new challenge together. But now, Rey has been taken by the plague, her mind held hostage as one of the Bloodless. A mysterious black monolith has appeared at the center of the highest level zone in the game, a place no one has even come close to. Some say it will provide us with answers. Others say it will only lead to more questions. Who’s behind all this? Why are people’s minds being taken? Will we ever get to bring them back? How many more will be lost if we stay logged in? Nothing is certain, but if there’s any chance that reaching the monolith will bring Rey back back, then Clay will do everything he can to reach it. This is Book 1 in a new series from Stephen Roark! I will be posting chapters here until the book is done and published on Amazon!
