《Me! Zombie! Summoned to Another World!》Chapter 38: A Thrilling Moment!

When I saw the way out, I didn't run off like crazy.
Instead, I became more careful.
I walked more carefully and quietly.
I hadn't forgotten that the owner of the voice was here.
This was a rare big guy.
... I leaned over and slowly approached the place where the light came from.
It only took me two hours to get here and cross about three or four miles from the moment I heard the sound.
Now, to get to the exit, I bent down and slowly approached.
It was only less than 300 meters, but it took me nearly half an hour.
After more than 20 minutes, I finally arrived behind a big rock that was only 50 meters away from the exit.
This rock was very large, about seven or eight meters in diameter. It was enough for me to hide.
The reason why I didn't go straight out was because I saw the location of the owner of the voice and the specific terrain of this place.
This place was a circular sinkhole.
It was like a sewer, with a circular opening above and an empty space below.
The place I was standing at was about 30 to 40 meters away from the opening above my head.
With such a small distance, I only needed my new undead gargoyle to flap its wings two or three times to reach it.
However, I still didn't choose to go forward.
That was because there was a gigantic beast lying directly below the sinkhole.
"Hu -- hu --"
It was a gigantic beast that was snoring and sleeping.
I was still more than 30 meters away from it.
But even though I was glancing at such a distance, I still felt that its size was amazing.
It was like a mountain, erect under the entrance of the cave.

From my visual estimation, this giant beast's size was at least 20 meters or more.
And because it was sleeping and still curled up, it's actual size might be larger.
Because it was underground, the light was dim. Not only could I not estimate the size of its body, I couldn't even see the lines and body shape of this giant beast.
But, from the powerful aura it still gave off while sleeping, this guy was definitely not to be trifled with.
It was definitely the world's top hunter.
Even if I brought the gargoyle and Regulus to fight this guy, there was no hope of winning.
The only result to fighting would be that I would become the food of this giant beast.
Therefore, if we wanted to get out, we could only rely on the Gargoyle's wings to fly us out..
However, the gargoyle's movements were too loud.
Once it flapped its wings, they would definitely be exposed.
At that time, they would become living targets in the sky...
Then, how would we be able to bypass this terrifying fellow and get out?
"Ji Ji..."
"Ji Ji..."
Just as I was feeling frustrated that I couldn't get out, I suddenly heard a series of sounds coming from beside me.
I turned around to take a look.
It was a few small red lizards that were continuously biting and tearing at the gargoyle's body.
Their body was only the size of a duck's egg, but there was a vicious aura emanating from their bones.
However, the Gargoyle's body was made of Hell Obsidian and was extremely sturdy. These little guys' feeble teeth couldn't bite it at all.
"Chirp chirp..."
"Chirp chirp chirp..."
Sure enough, these little fellows began to cry out in pain soon.
Some of them even broke their teeth because they used too much force.

This scene looked very funny.
If I had nothing else to do, I would have laughed out loud when I saw this scene. But now I was upset.
A powerful and unrivalled giant beast blocked my way.
It caused me to be unable to return to the normal world.
Seeing so many lizards, I could only feel more upset.
I reached out, picked up a few small lizards, looked at them, and was prepared to smash them..
Mhm... The body was mainly red, with a few black stripes. It looked quite beautiful. There were two small horns on its head, and its claws were quite sharp.
Its teeth were also in neat rows, and were in the shape of barbs.
They looked a little different from ordinary lizards.
? ? ?
Wait a moment?
Different from ordinary lizards?
Wasn't that...
My heart skipped a beat, and I gently put down my hand that was already raised.
I placed the lizard in my hand in front of my eyes and carefully examined it.
It was red with black stripes, had two horns on its head, and the spikes on its back didn't have a large crown on its back...
? ? ? ! ! !
Wasn't this the dragon blood lizard that was recorded in the –[ Book of anecdotes ] ?
It was so big. It was probably a cub that had just been born more than ten days ago.
However, I remember that the [ Book of Anecdotes ] mentioned that the dragon blood lizard was a very responsible monster. Both husband and wife would raise the cub together.
One would go hunting while the other would take care of the children. An adult dragon blood lizard would usually not be too far away from the cub.
Didn't this mean that...
There was at least one adult dragon-blood lizard nearby?
Although dragon-blood lizards were known as dragon-blood lizards, among magical beasts, their combat power was not very high.
They could barely be considered third-rate magical beasts.
The dragon-blood lizard was most famous not for its combat power, but for its voice.
Its voice was so loud and unpleasant that it could be considered one of the best among the many magical beasts.
In other words, if I had just killed these small lizards, it would have alerted the nearby adult lizards.
If the adult lizards screeched again...
It would've alerted the sleeping giant beast in front of me.
Wouldn't I be dead for sure?
"Hu --"
Thinking of how I had almost done something extremely wrong, I hurriedly patted my chest.
I let out a long sigh of relief.

She became a dungeon core. Everything pointed Delta to murdering her way to success. People were just mana farms, right? No, that was wrong. Delta refused. Then everything became odd.
8 402The Ingress Estate
Jonathon Eucole. Soldier. Scholar. Now an Initiate, the dedication without dedication, he finds himself both prisoner and master of an arcane edifice, the Ingress Estate, which can neither be escaped, nor controlled; only diverted, maintained, and pacified. This is a gothic fantasy story, set in a world in which gods and the afterlife are not only real and known, but were both established in living memory of some of the inhabitants after millennia of arcane warfare with the being who constructed the mundane reality the humans occupy. But this isn't the story of those who colonized the afterlife at the cost of their own humanity, but a somewhat more ordinary man, in somewhat extraordinary circumstances. This is also a LitRPG-lite, which means there's a system of sorts, fragments of which can be observed through Jonathon's eyes. Don't expect level-up screens, or statistics, or indeed numbers much at all, beyond those the inhabitants of the world itself apply to understanding their own reality. It pretty much doesn't matter to the story, I mention it so those who don't want to read LitRPG at all can successfully avoid it here. I don't have any particular plan here, just some ideas inherent in the genre. This is a character concept I toyed with some years ago; an old man, bright of mind but weighed down into apathy, both by his past and his responsibilities for a terrible estate that cannot be left without stewardship. Don't expect any kind of overarching plot or story, because that's really not what this is about. Also don't expect much dialogue. Or character development. Or much of anything, really, because I've planned nothing in the way of an actual book, here. Other relevant information, if you've read this far for some reason: The MC isn't super-powerful to begin with, and probably never will be. He's a veteran with some useful skills, and the insight on how to use them, so can deal with the world's ordinary threats reasonably well, but not too much beyond that. --- Currently on hiatus, as currently the story has a rather poor ratio of effort-to-personal-payoff. I may return to this once I have a clear idea of how to get the stories where I want them. I've started a more standard LitRPG using the same system. But if you like intelligence characters who cleverly min-max their classes, it probably isn't the story for you; it's the story of a rather ordinary guy who winds up in a very similar universe.
