A battle erupted inside Jake's body. Warm transparent energy washed his body, but when it reached a point, it would get repelled, like the waves of a sea.
The transparent energy was the hot rush that always appeared during a breakthrough in the Physique Modeling Realm. It was the lowest manifestation of spirit essence.
After close to half a year, Jake already knew what [Spirit Essence] was. It was the energy of the world, harnessed by cultivators to grow stronger.
At the Morning Dew Realm, one would be able to wield this energy, making them possess a hundred times the strength of a Physique Modeling Realm.
*Swish!* *Swash!*
The hot rush was once again repelled.
'It's almost impossible for it to break past the block. Maybe I should pierce through it, but that might lead to severe consequences....'
What Jake was doing was making the body resonate as one under the hot rush.
Theoretically, It would flow in the body in a fluid and straight stream. That was what Jake was trying to achieve. It was a feat that could only be achieved when the physical body acted as "ONE".
While this sounded easy, it was the opposite of that. To do this, one had to imagine the difference between something smooth and something rough or with ridges.
For example, in the case of a car, when driving on a road without bumps, the ride would be beautiful and smooth.
But when driving on a road WITH bumps, the ride would be rough and unenjoyable.
That was how the human body was, full of ridges and edges.
So, if one could channel the hot rush in a smooth and unblemished manner, then that person would have achieved the state of the Physical body as One.

A feat that was one of the characteristics of Physique Awakening, the hidden stage of the Physique Modeling Realm...
That was Jake's Ultimate goal. If he could achieve the state, he could access the hidden stage.
*Swish!* *Swash!*
The hot wave started from his legs. It tried to move up his body, making Jake feel like electric shocks.
"Aahh," he moaned in pleasure.
Sadly, the wave, after reaching a certain point, repelled back to its start point.
'It's not enough, but...'
Jake smiled as his legs glowed blue. It was a sign of progress.
'It's improving, albeit slowly.'
Like that, Jake summoned the hot rush again, ready to begin a new round…

"Aahh. Aaahhhh"
A couple situated in the room next to Jake's room were about to begin their night activity when they heard intense moans coming from the next room.
"Honey, what is that?" the woman said.
"It is coming from the next room," replied the man.
The couple left their bed position and leaned towards the wall connecting both rooms.
"Aaah. Aaaah..."
They could hear the moans more clearly. Clearly intrigued, they listened for a good five minutes, captivated by the level of pleasure their opposite roommate was receiving.
"Honey..." red hue creased the woman's cheeks as she looked at her husband.
Recently, she had not been feeling the thrills of their night adventures. She had not been able to climax like a champion.
Hearing their neighbor's moans, she became invigorated. She hinted at her husband to go back to their beds.
This time, she would take charge and ensure a good night!
"Honey, let's---"
Her words cut short when she saw her husband who had already released his energy in his pants.
With a twitching face, she smiled at him. She stood up, packed her things, and left.

Meanwhile, the instigator of this breakup had no idea of what his moans had caused.

In Jake's room.
Hot rushed coursed through his body in a fast motion. It reached his chest before it declined like a falling roller coaster.
'Almost through,' thought Jake as he gritted his teeth in determination.
He charged through again as he reached a higher height.
Again...Again...And again...Until…..
The hot wave finally reached his head.
*Phwumm*
The moment the hot wave contacted his head region, a shock course through Jake's body, as he shuddered.
A burst of energy flew out of his body as blue energy burned on him, like fire.
His body drowned his blue energy and began to change.
String materialized in the center of his bones. They connected to all parts of his body, including parts like the heart, eyes.
They were like puppet strings and his body was the puppet.
Jake had never felt so in control of his body. Every little movement was so precise that he felt like he could cut a tree with just his fingernail!
'Body as One….Body Supremacy….I understand, this is just the entry-stage of this state…..'
'Yet, this is my limit. I can't go further.'
Jake could feel the boundless ability of this state. Sadly, he had reached his body limit, and any further breakthrough would be detrimental to his body.
"Whatever, I am officially at the hidden stage!" he sighed, just before he cheered himself up.
Jake didn't need anyone to tell him before he knew that he had advanced to the illusory hidden stage. He could feel it. His veins pulsed, his blood swam, his bones sang.
They were all testament to his newfound strength.
Jake took a deep breath. He was ecstatic to find out about the things his new strength could achieve.
With his spirit energy sense, he could see spirit essence coalescing around him like he was a magnet.
His awakened physique felt more alive and was most likely attractive to spirit essence.
'If I didn't know better, I would think I'm a blessed son of heaven,' grinned Jake.
'With this boundless energy coursing through me, I have to utilize it before it diminishes.'
It was widely known that energy is not constant. One way or the other, it would diminish, becoming smaller.
'Instead of waiting, why don't I use the opportunity to break through to the next realm. [The Morning Dew Realm]!'
Jake had read the book that Todd Elliot gave him and the trio multiple times. He had even copied the information, just in case he forgot.
He was fully prepared for a breakthrough!

You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters.There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain?So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.
