《BJ Archmage》Chapter 49: Debut (2)

Debut (2)
4.
Azmo was the biggest spender in God Wars.
In other words, he had the most items and had used the most items.
Part of his content was showing unknown, unique, or high grade items and their options and powers.
“Oh, someone told me this item is good. I’ll try it.”
This was an unboxing video.
Therefore, he was always confident that there was no one who knew better than him about magician items.
“I’ve used all the weapons for magicians.”
Of course, items below rare grade were excluded by his standard.
“But only above unique grade items. Rares aren’t even items, are they? Normal? Is there an item like that?”
A producer could set the design for a rare item while producing it.
Anyway, Azmo was so certain that there was no item he didn’t know, but he had commented that he had never seen the item.
– Azmo: It was true. I’ve never seen that wand design.
It was an enormous event.
– Is he really Azmo? Isn’t it fake?
└ It’s really Azmo.
└ It’s real, dumb.
└ Mr. Azmo, give me 1 dollar, please!
It was enormous because Azmo reacted to this.
He didn’t hide and made an appearance on all the issues. He even argued with other players when he got mad. However, he was in third place in terms of popularity.
– By the way, Azmo doesn’t know about this item?
– Is there any item Azmo doesn’t know?
– It’s a magician item though.
Moreover, Azmo personally said he didn’t know the item.
– Isn’t it because it’s a rare item that’s produced?
└ You moron, do you think a rare item can make that much damage?
└ Do you fucking have eyes? It’s at least a unique item by the looks of the slayer orc’s phase changing so quickly!
└ It’s not unique. It’s at least legendary.
Also, they couldn’t know if it was a rare item. However, no one would think that it was a rare item if they saw the video of BJ Archmage hunting the slayer orc.
Anyways, it was an amusing situation for those who loved watching and playing.
“What happened?”, Yeongjoon’s subordinate asked.
Yeongjoon tapped his head several times and answered, “He might not know.”
“Pardon?”
“Don’t you think so? There might be an item Azmo doesn’t know about. Also, that’s not the important thing right now.”
“His expression, ‘It was true’, is important.”
“What about it?”
“Hey, think about it. Do you think Azmo spends his time watching WarsTube? Huh? Do you really think he’s going to subscribe to our channel and be like ‘Wow! A new video uploaded on the Rising Star Channel! I should watch it!’ when a video is uploaded?”
“No way.”
“That’s what I’m saying. Then the answer is obvious. He heard about BJ Archmage from someone. Properly speaking, he might’ve been questioned. He was interested in the question ‘There is a player who spends lots of money on the game and his items are unique. Do you know anything about him?’. Then he saw the video and commented.”
The subordinate nodded at Yeongjoon’s theory which was reasonable.
“The point is who was the one that threw the question to Azmo. He wouldn’t react like this if I asked him, right?”
“Who do you think it is?”
“I don’t know.”
Yeongjoon shook his head shortly. “But one thing is certain. That person is not ordinary, and….”
“And?”
“The extraordinary person is observing BJ Archmage closely.”

Then his subordinate closed his mouth.
“Or he might’ve used Azmo. He threw the question as bait and expected Azmo’s reaction like this.”
Yeongjoon continued his monologue and started to twitch his lips.
“I have to concede that I was wrong. I’m sure that he’s influential beyond what I thought.”
Soon, Yeongjoon started smiling.
“And that this influencer did this for us means he liked our quality.”, Yeongjoon said and ordered his subordinate.
“How long is the video of solo killing the ragged magician going to take?”
“Probably, we are going to work on it for 5 days.”
“Finish within 3 days.”
“Sorry? However, the cost is going to be…”
“Look, this is not a normal situation. If the fact that Azmo commented spreads, the number of views is going to go crazy. What do you think people are going to be curious about next?”
Yeongjoon checked the number of views that had risen in real-time.
“Also, offer BJ Archmage that we’ll contract the next video at $10,000.”
“$10,000? It’s lower than the last time.”
“Instead, tell him that the profit distribution of the video is going to be 6:4.”
“Isn’t our distribution 7 now? Then should I change it to 6?”
“No, we are 4.”
“Sir, there is nothing we have left then.”
Yeongjoon answered him with his confident face.
“I guarantee that BJ Archmage will prepare an item that’ll pour gas on fire as soon as we offer this condition.”
5.
“Ahh!”
A capsule door opened in the capsule room and Hyunwoo came out while stretching.
Hyukjoo Lee wasn’t there somehow.
It was weird Hyukjoo didn’t know people were going to log out and came outside.
However, Hyunwoo was relaxed instead of doubting the situation.
It was obvious since he calculated the logout time.
‘I came out on time as I planned.’
That meant everything went perfectly.
‘It’s very good.’
Hyunwoo’s situation was very good for real.
‘I guess I can conquer the hidden dungeon today with this pace.’
First, he was conquering a hidden dungeon where he could get a unique skill card.
‘I won’t fail since I have Lucky.’
Also, he had a certain trump card that he was confident in conquering the dungeon.
Hyunwoo had never been so certain in God Wars.
“Oh, Hyunwoo! You came out on time.”
Hyukjoo appeared at that time.
“Hey, why are you so late?”
“Sorry. I was watching a video.”
“A video?”
“This one is so popular now.”
“Popular?”
Hyunwoo tilted his head at Hyukjoo.
“Was there an important raid? There shouldn’t be at this time.”
There was no popular event that Hyunwoo knew about.
“There is one video uploaded on the Rising Star Channel.”
Hyukjoo explained and Hyunwoo’s eyes started to shine.
“Yea? What is it?”
“The same one. You know that, right? The player on WarsTube.”
At that moment, Hyunwoo’s heart began to beat fast.
“The player? Who?”
Hyunwoo already guessed who that was but pretended not to know.
“You saw the player who brags about his items that he bought. The rich asshole we should beat up and kill.”
Hyunwoo made a sour face and said, “Hey, speak nicely. What’s the point of talking bad about someone you don’t know?”
Hyukjoo was surprised and asked back.
“You are the one who always said we need to kill all the rich assholes and establish a beautiful society in God Wars, didn’t you?”
“Yea, that’s right.”
Hyunwoo answered and changed the topic soon.
“So, his video came up on the Rising Star Channel?”
“It’s official. This is why the rich are fucking assholes. If someone edits his video on his own and sends it to them, they don’t even look at it. But the rich asshole isn’t that talented and he debuted on the famous channel right away.”
Hyukjoo explained and Hyunwoo shook his hand.
“Give me my phone.”
“Sure.”
Hyunwoo got his phone, turned it on, and then threw out words.
“So, what did you mean by the video is so popular? Is the number of views high?”
“Yea, it’s really high.”
Hyunwoo Jung held his smile at Hyukjoo’s expression.
‘Is it over 10,000 views?’
Hyunwoo expected his video to record about 100,000 views.
‘I’m glad I debuted on the channel that has name value.’
Hyunwoo’s standard was that much.
“Yea? How high?”
“I think it’s going to be 1,000,000 views soon.”
“Oh, 1,000,000! A million…..”
He couldn’t help stopping his rationality when he heard the number.
“What? 1,000,000?”
“Yea.”
“The video of nothing except for a holy beast and items recorded 1,000,000?”
After his rationality started working again, Hyunwoo realized that something weird was going on.
“That is 1,000,000? It’s bullshit.”
‘It doesn’t make any sense. Did they manipulate the number of views?’
It was right that solo killing the slayer orc was tough.
However, there wasn’t anything special about the process that Hyunwoo showed.
‘Rising Star Channel isn’t on that kind of level though.’
Besides, Rising Star Channel awareness wasn’t as high as a major channel.
Nevertheless, the debut video recorded 1,000,000?
‘Why?’
There had to be some other reason.
Hyunwoo’s hands started to maneuver with the phone.
“Well, Azmo commented.”
Hyukjoo explained the reason in advance.
“He said he hasn’t seen the item before.”
And Hyunwoo could also check with his eyes.
– Azmo: It was true. I’ve never seen that wand design.
Hyunwoo’s face got stiff as soon as he saw it.
‘I’m fucking doomed.’
The goblin magician’s wand.
It was a reward Hyunwoo got from the hidden dungeon, the goblin magician’s hideout, that appeared in the Beginner’s village.
The item was so good that it came close to a legendary item.
‘Oh, the main scenario.’
Plus, it was a reward from the main scenario quest that only Hyunwoo was conquering in God Wars at that time.
In other words, only Hyunwoo had experienced the item.
That was why Azmo commented.
‘It’s my mistake.’
It was obviously Hyunwoo’s mistake.
‘I left a clue for the main scenario quest by accident.’
It was an unavoidable mistake.
It was understandable that he sent the video to them when they offered $10,000.
Also, the channel was quite famous.
‘But why did an influencer like Azmo comment?’
Who could imagine that a magnate like Azmo would be interested in a hunting video of an unknown player at level 20?
The famous Azmo, opened WarsTube since he had enough time and there was Hyunwoo’s video. He clicked it and the item caught his eyes, so he commented. What is the probability of that happening?
‘Azmo didn’t find it himself.’
Hyunwoo was certain after thinking about it.
‘Someone asked Azmo if he knew about the item.’
Azmo didn’t doubt the existence of the main scenario.
Powerful players in God Wars maintained a friendship with Azmo and asked the question. They had sensed something weird.
‘There is a group that is looking for the main scenario.’
“Argh…..”
Hyunwoo grabbed his hair when he reached the answer.
At that moment, he only had one worry.
‘Should I sell it? Should I break the contract before it’s too late?’
It was either sell the information about the main scenario quest or hide it and bear with it.
“Hyunwoo.”
Hyukjoo called Hyunwoo.
“Why?
“Jackpot.”
“What?”
“The video hit the jackpot.”
“What are you talking about?”
“The rich asshole’s video’s number of views has risen by a lot.”
“It was already a lot.”
“I mean a lot more! Everyone is going crazy to find the identity of the item here!”
Hyunwoo turned on his phone and checked the number of views again.
‘What? Already 1,200,000?
The number of views consistently rose.
– Is this video the one that Azmo said there was a new item?
– He has an item Azmo doesn’t have, doesn’t he?
– Wow, is he more affluent than Azmo?
Hyunwoo was checking the comments that were constantly written under the number of views and Hyukjoo said, “By the looks of it, it’s marketing.”
Hyunwoo stared at Hyukjoo instead of saying ‘What the hell are you talking about?’.
Hyukjoo read Hyunwoo’s facial expression and continued, “Isn’t it? It doesn’t matter what the item is. It looks like Azmo is trying to support another rich asshole he knows and tricking everyone. This is why I hate those old players. They were too old and became rotten. Right, Hyunwoo?”
Hyunwoo didn’t answer Hyukjoo.
“Hyunwoo?”
“Wait a second.”
Instead, he started to calculate.
‘The Rising Star Channel will (hire) me for sure.’
There was no reason for the Rising Star Channel to not treat BJ Archmage favorably in this situation.
‘The quality is also good.’
Even if he didn’t think about this incident, he could see that the Rising Star Channel expected a lot from BJ Archmage just through the quality of the video.
It meant they could announce their product, BJ Archmage, through their channel.
‘Also, nobody knows yet.’
There was a high probability that people didn’t know about the existence of the main scenario quest.
If they knew, they wouldn’t ask a question like this.
‘If I open Sahalin’s wand to the public……’
What if Hyunwoo Jung opens Sahalin’s wand in this situation?
Also, what if Azmo comments on that again?
Hyunwoo’s only had one worry.
‘If the number of views is a million, how much do I get paid a year?’
How much would the money be?
One thing was clear.
If he sold the information about the main scenario quest now, he would never be famous like this again.
At that moment.
‘I’m sure the Rising Star Channel has emailed me.’
Hyunwoo thought the Rising Star Channel wouldn’t just stay and watch this situation so he checked his email.
‘I knew it.’
There was an email from the Rising Star Channel as he expected.
He checked the email right away.
‘What? $10,000 is the down payment and I get 6? Wait, then if the number of views for the next video is about 3,000,000….. Wait, it also includes the advertisement and a sponsor fee if I get a profit from the video…..’
The condition was outstanding.
Hyunwoo didn’t think about it anymore after seeing it.
“Hyukjoo.”
“Yea?”
“I’m logging in.”
“Right now? You should get some rest.”
“I don’t need to.”
“Indeed, it only makes us sick when we watch the rich assholes doing great. They are no match for me if we meet in real life. Ha, my fist is crying. I’m pretty sure the punk, BJ Archmage, doesn’t have a girlfriend. He’s a eunuch for sure. That’s why he’s releasing his desires in the game.”
“Hey, just set it now.”
“Ok, I’ll do it now.”
Hyukjoo set a capsule again and Hyunwoo got ready to log in and answered inside his mind.
‘Yea, they stacked the deck for me. Then I should dance for them.’
He decided to throw away a break.
7.
Woof!
Lucky happily welcomed Midas who appeared at a mine where jewels dimly shined instead of a lamp.
“Hey, Lucky. Wait a second.”
Midas answered Lucky and soon checked a window of his stats.
[ Midas ] – Level: 33 – God: WarDragon – Job: Archmage – Stat: Strength (5+215) / HP (5+210) / Intelligence (175+305) / MP (38+242) – The remaining stats: 0
Midas’s eyes became sharp after checking the stats.
‘I don’t know about the intelligence or MP, but the total stats are higher than when Azmo was level 33.’
Midas’s stats at that moment were beyond common sense.
‘If I try my best, I can make it even higher.’
The surprising thing was that he could even make it better.
When he acquired a skill, he could know how to acquire titles from the skill.
He could always strengthen his stats with runes he got as a reward from acquiring the titles.
The reason why he didn’t invest in strengthening his fighting power until now was simple.
‘If I spend money…’
It cost too much.
Buying one skill cost over 1,000,000 won and acquiring a title needed an extra investment.
Midas couldn’t do that while worrying about living expenses.
Above all, Midas avoided a challenge.
Even if he risked, there was no merit that was guaranteed. Therefore, he always tried to be safe instead of making a new record.
However, his situation had changed.
If he risked, he would get more in this situation.
Moreover, it was a chance for him to be a star player that he had dreamed about.
“Lucky, let me become a star too.”
Woof!
‘I’m going to conquer the dungeon and get a skill card. As soon as I log out, I’ll buy a skill card.’
Midas was clearly determined in front of the chance to invest in himself.
‘I’m going to buy a lot whenever I get money.’

House of Wolves
“The forest grew still as the bastard sword took its' last life that night. The beast's shirt was saturated with blood and sweat, clinging to his skin after the heat of battle. The demons that drove him insane were dead, but his broken sanity failed to mend. Left standing in a pool of scarlet, his mind shrouded in the ecstasy of massacre, only one thought remained—more.†-Ch.9Dead to the world and the property of insanity, a former death row inmate is thrown into a new world, thrown to the wolves with two goals: send those running the experiment to hell, and enjoy whatever blood spills along the way. This is the third iteration of my fiction. The earlier titles are Imperator which revised to become Reaper which became this original web novel. House of Wolves is still a work in progress so any suggestions and comments are welcome. I write volumes at a time and then upload on a regular schedule once completed.Mature tag for language, gore and adult content.
8 93Arduous New World
Alright, so I'm using this as a whetstone to practice my fiction writing. I have dyslexia, so bear with me if I have any mistakes, if you point them out I'll try and correct them. The story is LitRPG, I'll try and avoid some of the tropes, see FAQ. What happens is that the world turns out to be a simulation coming to an end, and beginning on its new simulation, in this process the system of the universe declares that the new simulation will be rpg-based. The protagonist however is thrust into an empty space before the simulation comes to an end, he escapes and finds that the world as he knew it is gone.Chapters will come sporadically as I'm quite busy IRL. FAQ1: There will be no Harem. 2: If any sexual content, it will be be below the screen, example sentence [they made love - or - they had sex]3: I'll try to keep character motivations steady instead of having characters who says and does one thing in one chapter, only to change their mind in the next one. 3: Villains or "bad guys" won't be charicatures. Of course, as in real life, you can meet these people, but as far as big bads or antagonists goes, they will have some modicum of intelligence. 4: The MC does not have an encyclopedia of random knowledge. 5: OP'ness won't happen overnight, and it is something that I'm wary of in terms of adding it, of course eventually the MC will grow more powerful, but there won't be any cheats, except hard work; and the luck factor will be more or less similar to the rest of the population. 6: He won't be opposing the universe, no matter how powerful he grows, he is too insignificant7: he won't become friends with god/the ghost in the shell etc, no matter how powerful he grows, he is too insignificant, and an ancient simulation ai has no interest anyway, why would it ? Okay that's that for now.
8 79Kichiro's Rampage
Meet Kichiro, the son of a samurai. A social outcast, he leaves his home with nothing but a musket and a sword, determined to carve himself a niche in a chaotic world of dragons and leviathans. This fiction incorporates LitRPG elements, but it's not set in a VR. It's set in a fantastical world based loosely on East Asia in the 16th and 17th Century, when the Ming Dynasty was on its last legs, with the addition of magic and monsters. I totally stole the stat tables from Exterminatus, the author of Everybody Loves Large Chests, so let me credit him for that. I'm new to writing so please don't hesitate to criticise, and reviews would be greatly appreciated.
