She stated.
"Don't worry, miss auctioneer. I know"
"As you wish, we will bring him up once we are done with the seal. You all can go upside and wait."
She smiled after saying.
Akash Tagar and group en routed towards stairs, when they ledt the basement Rebella looked at Chand. She stepped towards him and kissed him on lips.
"Hmm! What's wrong honey? Your mood seems to be off"
The Dwaiant was silently watching the scene in front of him, Chand stared at Jurgen Kamki with a side-eye and made a cosmic barrier to avoid any voice leak outside, Rebella was confused
"There is something fishy about them Rebella."
Chand said
"How so?"
She asked
"He said he was from slave planet, yet he was eager to see the process of darkness slave seal."
"Maybe he just normally wanted to see"
She replied.
"No, the slave planet is coalition of different races. Each big race has one focal person on that planet called guardian, each guardian has their own network hidden from others. Even the lowest subbordinate knows that asking the secret technique of other races is a tabboo that can cause conflict amongst races, the guardian I serve is from Demon Knight race. That man Akash, didn't ask me about my guardian and directly asked to see the sealing technique of demon knights. How is this possible that a higher up like him is unaware of that rule."
Chand explained his piece of mind to Rebella.
Rebella pondered for a moment and spoke.
"Did you ask him about his guardian?"
"No, I didn't"
Chand replied.
"Did you ask him about his task in this planet?"
She asked abother question.

They followed the lead of the city's mayor and reached the Slave Auction's gate, it was a decorated two doors wooden gate, tightly secured by guards. Akash Tagar and his lords followed the mayor's back and entered the auction room, each guard gave a vigorous salute to Chand Gandraf. Their zeal showed that they are paid handsomely, Akash only saw darkness inside the auction. Chand clapped his hands with a slight moiety of his cosmic powers in it.
~BLIP BLIP BLIP~
Fancy bulbs and light rods switched on one by one, the dark auction commutated in shimmering bright room full of beautiful lightings. Akash looked around the auction, he found 100 stately seats, in front of the auction stage. Akash was not an uneducated tamer by any means, he knew these 100 seats are for normal bidders, the VIP room must be above. The King raised his head and caught a fascinating sight, he found around 200 rooms surrounding the whole auction area. Those rooms were more bedecked than the golden room of the slave arena.

"I'm impressed, Mayor Chand."
Akash said while looking at those rooms, he didn't expect this sort of craftsmanship on this planet.
"Thank you, Mr Akash. These lights are the real delicacy of this auction, they will only be turned on when they sense the sound waves of my claps mixed with my cosmic powers."
Chand Gandraf praised his city's technology.
"Where are the slaves?"
Haji Tea asked after peering.
"Beneath your feet"
Chand Gandraf replied right after.
Everyone looked at their feet, Chand lightly stomped the floor. The floor gave off a strange sound as if it was hollow inside. The auction stage was opened and a path to the basement was shown, from which came a lady. She was eye-catching, she had a red dress on her body. Red lipstick with an hourglass figure, she looked at Chand Gandraf and said.
"Good noon, Mayor"
"Same to you, Rebella"
Chand replied and continued.
"She is the..."
"The auctioneer, right?"
Akash said before Chand could finish it.
"Indeed, nice guess"
"It was pretty obvious"
Chand squinted his eyes and questioned
"What do you mean by pretty obvious, Mr Akash?"
Akash sighed and spoke
"beautiful girl with red dress, classic look of an auctioneer"
Chand hummed and looked at Rebella, after a small period of quietness Chand inquired the lady auctioneer.
"Is everything ready?"
"Yes, mayor. As per your instructions, I have prepared every single noteworthy slave. All we have to do is to go down and let the esteemed guests choose one"
Rebella replied with a smile.
"Let's go"
Chand gestured at Akash and they went inside the basement of the slave auction. They went down through the stairs, Akash kept observing the entire basement. This auction was made using a strange structural system, when Chand stomped the floor earlier, it sounded like one solid kick can shatter the entire floor.
But looking from inside, the walls and everything was made from solid materials. Out of them, the two most impressive materials were solar bricks and dragon drool cement, Akash furrowed his brows and looked at the back of the mayor who was leading them towards the basement.
Akash identified them and uttered
"These are simple materials which can be found on this planet, it seems Mr Mayor brought these from somewhere else"
"Mr Akash is right, these were one of the gifts from Slave Planet."
"This old man is ambitious and evil to the core"
Akash Tagar pondered.
Chand felt something and turned his head back, King Akash was in his sight, he gave a fake smile on his face and asked.

"Did you say something, Mr Akash?"
"No, haha I think you are hearing things, Mr Mayor"
Akash answered
"Haha, maybe."
As they went down Akash interest was picked more and more
"I have something to ask Mr Mayor"
Akash couldn't resist and asked
Chand didn't say anything and just nodded his head.
"Who designed this structure?"
Akash questioned
The steps of Chand stopped, he clenched his fists and said
"Erwin Cloude"
Akash smiled inwardly, he had a hunch that this masterpiece of the design was also made by the god of guns.
Chand silently moved forward, he was pissed since Akash asked him to give Erwin Cloude, he never wanted to give or kill Erwin. After Erwin killed the eldest son of him, Chand found a strange pleasure in torturing him.
Anon they reach the basement, Akash's eyes widened when he saw the sight in front of him. There were cells, around 300 hundred. There were a variety of slave portions, sex slaves, labour slaves, tamer slaves and more.
One slave was in one cell, there was a triangular black mark on their chests. It was the darkness slave seal, Akash squinted his eyes.
"They also gave their slave seal technique to Chand, no wonder."
He pondered
"Which type of slaves do you need?"
Rebella asked Haji Tea, she was unaware of the fact that Akash was the leader there.
"Ask my king"
Haji Tea didn't delay a second and pointed at Akash Tagar.
"Tamer Slaves"
Akash said
Rebella was curious, but she was familiar with surprises. She nodded and took them towards the portion of tamer slaves. Akash turned his eyes to the tamers one by one, his eyes stayed on a beastman. It was a Lycan, half-human half. Akash opened his profile.
[Name: Yahan Man
Realm: 1st Moon, Star Knight
Aptitude: Medium High Grade
Learn Laws: Martial Law
Inborn Laws: Darkness Law (Yet to Awake)]
Akash was disappointed, he looked at another slave. A shock engulfed his eyes, it was a female elf
[Name: Simisti Vimo
Realm: 3rd Moon, 9th Star
Aptitude: Upper Common Grade
Learn Laws: Wind Law, Earth Law
Inborn Laws: None]
Akash sighed and moved ahead, all the slaves in the slave city were at the maximum aptitude of high grade. There was not a single case having a slave of legendary aptitude, Akash thought to look at the other portions. In the hope to find someone, as he was leaving the tamer slave portion he heard something.
Akash quickly turned his head, a tall old man was laying on the ground.
*cough cough*
The old man coughed, Akash went to him but Chand stopped him.
"Mr Akash, he is a useless old man on his death door. Don't waste your time on him"
Akash stopped his steps and reversed his path, that old man woke up.
"Young master, please wait."
Akash stopped once again and looked at him, the old man stood. Akash was astonished by his physique, the old man was 3.5 meters tall. He had noticeable muscles but his skin was wrinkly, he had thick short hairs and a full beard and moustache linked with each other to a point where his mouth was barely visible.
"Please, buy me. I don't want to die here, I am a warrior. I've fought for centuries in wars, I will be helpful. Please."
He moved towards Akash but the shackles around his body hindered him, he tried to open the break them but the darkness slave seal on his chest dried his strength, making him a helpless old man.
Akash hummed and opened his profile.
[Name: Jurgen Kamki
Realm: 2nd Moon, Star Knight
Aptitude: Upper Legendary Grade (Blocked)
Learnt Laws: Martial Law, Earth Law, Thunder Law.
Inborn Laws: Fire Law (Awaken), Life Law (Awaken), Star Law (Yet to Awake)
Epic Race: Dwaiant. An offspring race of Dwarves and Giants]
Akash smiled and looked at Chand Gandraf.
"Mr Mayor, I choose this old man. What is his price?"
The lords of King Akash Tagar were surprised, they quickly checked the profile of this old man. The result was an additional surprise for them
Chand was astounded as well, he replied
"Mr Akash, I will suggest you as a friend to choose another one. This man is 900 years old, his cultivation is limited now."
"I'm 947 years old not 900 years"
Old Man replied in an exhausted tone.
"How dare you spoke to our city's Mayor"
Rebella said and took out a whip from her spatial ring.
"Stop rebella"
Chand ordered his auctioneer and looked at Akash Tagar.
"Mr Akash, are you sure. You want this slave"
"Yes, I am. Tell me his price, Mr Mayor"
Akash answered
"You can have him for free, I was thinking of disposing him anyway."
Chand said pleasantly, he was relieved that Akash didn't choose any vigorous slave that can hit his income.
"Well then, it's settled"
Haji Tea said.
"Esteemed guests, could you please wait outside for a moment"
Rebella said to the king and his lords.
"Sure, we will go with our new friend"
"No, sorry. It's something that even you can not see Mr Akash"

Edge Cases (Book 1 Complete!)
Rare classes and powerful skills are helpful. Too bad the system doesn't seem built to handle them. What even are all these errors? Our team of outcasts and adventurers will have to rely on their trust - and the bane of all stories, healthy communication - just to survive, let alone understand what the system is doing. Because they're quickly realizing that it's doing something; to people, to monsters, and maybe even to the gods themselves. And their goal isn't just to survive; it's to make things better. It's a good thing they're not doing it alone. --- Edge Cases is an attempt to take the LitRPG genre and the overpowered MCs trope and write a story where numbers aren't everything. Sometimes it takes trust, support, and just a touch of being very, very clever. Expect a mix of action, slice-of-life, friendship, and ominous worldbuilding. Updates M-W-F at 6pm EST. The Fundamentals
You hear of many tales out there. Some depict worthy heroes wielding tremendous power, noble personas that fight to save the lives of their close friends, family, and all the rest. Good triumphs over evil, that is simply the way the world works, no? While this premise is something inherent to nearly all stories, what exactly the heroes used to attain success can differ greatly. Perhaps they've trained themselves to the limit, pushing past boundaries nobody else could hope to achieve. Others still, have merely inherited the grand legacy of another legendary being, but what they have done with such a legacy would cause their names to be passed on for generations. Rowan is one of the heroes who have ventured beyond the horizon, tempering themselves on a perilous journey all the while and succeeding in attaining strength beyond measure. However, in an unexpected turn of events, this strength caused him to tear open and fall through a hole in the realm he resided in. Now he has ended up in a completely foreign realm, whose inhabitants utilized strange powers that eclipsed his own. Fortune would smile upon him this day, however, as he discovered that they were not hostile, and even offered to teach him their ways.
