《Start With Contracting Sprites》Chapter 111: The Person Standing Behind An City First High

After losing its balance and falling to the ground, the Armored Elephant no longer had a chance to stand up.
Spring Sprite merely used a simple water arrow unique skill. A few simple and unadorned water arrows flew towards the areas where the Armored Elephant's defense was weak.
In less than a minute, the Armored Elephant lost its battle ability.
Its Sprite Trainer's eyes were filled with disbelief.
"What the f*ck!"
"What happened?"
"How did I lose!?"
The teacher leading the team of students from Yang City High School had a solemn look on his face as he dispatched their second candidate.
The sprite on the battlefield was a Superpower Gibbon.
A few moments later…
"Impossible, why did it lose again?!"
They couldn't understand.
It would be alright if Spring Sprite displayed overwhelming strength.
But no.
The casting of its unique skill was just right.
The position of the attack happened to be aimed at where the defense was weak.
"Could it be that the girl has a strong command standard?"
The teacher in charge of the team from Yang City had once heard that some Sprite Trainers had very strong command abilities, and could even predict the next move of the other party's sprite before it attacked.
But it was just hearsay.
When sprites were still young and weak, Sprite Trainers' eyes and reflexes could still keep up with battles, and they still had the ability to command.
But when the sprites became stronger and the battle changed rapidly, how could Sprite Trainers still have the capability to command?
At most, they could only discuss some tactics with the sprites before the battle.
They could apply Sprite Commandeering in the battle.
That was all.
What truly reflected the value of a Sprite Trainer was the contract, as well as daily cultivation and training.
Spring Sprite defeated the Superpower Gibbon. Halfway through, Gu Lingyao gave it a Sprite Commandeering: Persist, but it was already worn-out.
Yang City High School didn't send any more entry-level sprites.
Instead, they sent a Grassland Wolf that had yet to reach entry level. It used Granule Machine Gun to take away Spring Sprite, which only had a little energy left.

"Next, we'll send the Golden-Armored Strongman."
The Golden-Armored Strongman was the sprite of Class Three's Classmate B.
The evolved form of the Golden Pangolin.
Classmate B was the most outstanding student in An City First High apart from Liu Ren and the rest. However, perhaps due to bad luck, or lack of preparation, the Golden Pangolin didn't manage to break through the entry-level threshold even with the help of evolution energy.
Even so, the evolved Gold-Armored Strongman had very strong battle power — compared to the newbie sprites.
With Su Hao's guidance, the Golden-Armored Strongman took care of Grassland Wolf without much effort.
This was normal behavior.
But in the next battle against Candlelight Butterfly, the battle skills displayed by the Golden-Armored Strongman shocked the Yang City side.
"Candlelight Butterfly's unique skills Flaming Spray and Flaming Rain would completely cover its figure when used together. How exactly did they discover it?"
"Could it be luck? A random Golden Light Slash just happened to hit the Candlelight Butterfly?"
Under the envelopment of the flames, the Golden-Armored Strongman couldn't last long before it was defeated.
Before losing, it caused significant damage to Candlelight Butterfly.
Once again, it exceeded the expectations of the people from Yang City.
...
The third person.
An City First High's representative was a sprite that had yet to reach entry level. It expended a round of energy before admitting defeat.
When it came to the fourth person, Liu Ren took the field.
The Lava Tortoise defeated the Flame Butterfly and Water-Treading Snail in succession.
In the end, when facing the Two-Headed Hound, both fell down together.
The students of Yang City High School couldn't sit still anymore.
"No way!"
"This doesn't make sense!"
"This shouldn't be happening!"
They were already at a disadvantage even before Su Hao from An City went on stage. How was this possible?!
If only one sprite was strong, it could still be attributed to its owner's amazing command ability.
But was every student of An City First High that evil?
"No, it's not that they're strong, they just seem… to be very familiar with us!"

As the top students of Yang City High School, they also trained and fought together on ordinary days.
Sometimes, when it saw the other party's sprite make a move, it would know what unique skill it wanted to use.
The people of An City seemed to have a thorough understanding of them.
On the contrary, their understanding of An City First High's sprites remained superficial.
The intel was completely different.
The group of people looked at each other.
Suddenly, there was silence.
A strange atmosphere pervaded the Yang City team.
The same thought appeared in everyone's mind.
Could it be that… one of them was a mole?
"No, that's impossible."
The Sprite Trainer of the Armored Elephant said, "Some time ago, my sprite accidentally injured its left front leg due to poor training. I thought it has fully recovered, but I didn't expect that the Armored Elephant's left front leg would give it problems when faced with high-intensity attacks..."
Things that even he himself wasn't sure about, let alone others.
But since it wasn't a mole, then…
How exactly did the contestants from An City First High know about this?
They looked over and only felt that the ordinary school uniform was shrouded in a layer of mist that they couldn't understand.
The battle continued.
The students of Yang City High School who had yet to go on stage were uneasy, they no longer had the confidence to begin their performance.
Those who had already been defeated frowned and considered countermeasures.
The Sprite Trainer of the Armored Elephant kept looking in the direction of the An City team, finally discovering the blind spot.
"That person is Su Hao, right?"
Su Hao's photo could be found on the Internet. They had all seen it.
"Yes, what is it?" another person asked.
"Did any of you notice that before every contestant from An City First High went on stage, Su Hao would communicate with them for a while? He gave me the feeling that he isn't a contestant, but a strategist who guides tactics! Coach!"
"That's impossible, right?"
They observed carefully.
They saw Su Hao gesturing with his limbs.
It was as though he was saying, "It should be like this… Like this… Again…"
The sprite next to him even nodded from time to time. Then, full of confidence, it walked onto the stage with its head held high.
Until the final battle.
After a tough battle between Li Songting's Ascetic Dog and the Formation Wind-Patterned Tiger, they saw the An City student jump off the stage, giving Su Hao a thumbs up.
They vaguely heard.
"Su Hao, I didn't expect you to be so good at strategizing. As expected of my lifelong rival."
...
On the way back.
The dozen-odd students from Yang City High School were very depressed.
Originally, under the condition that Su Hao was in An City First High's team, they were confident that they could use the three-for-one battle tactic to defeat Reverie Butterfly and win the final victory in the friendly match.
But now…
"We lost, not only to An City First High, but also to Su Hao."
The Sprite Trainer of the Armored Elephant spoke in a low voice.
"Why is An City First High so familiar with our sprites?
"Why is their commanding ability so amazing?
"It's all because of the person standing behind them — Su Hao."
"It's just that…"
He smiled bitterly. "He defeated us with just a few words of advice. If Su Hao went up himself, then…"
"Yeah, even if he only uses entry-level beginner sprites, he can probably defeat four to five of us in a row."
"I think it's more than that. If Su Hao commands it himself, I'm afraid that our every move will be predicted by the other party, who knows, we might lose ten points in a row."
They expressed their views one after another.
An City's Su Hao gradually became demonized in their hearts.
The coach sighed.
From the looks of it, he could only find weaker schools to abuse so as to regain confidence for his top students.
