《Start With Contracting Sprites》Chapter 27: Spiritual Force-Enhancement Cultivation

The woods were deadly silent.
Many eyes looked straight at the broken trunk.
They took in a rapid breath of the cool, fresh air of the woods.
Is this what a real big boss is like?
He's pretty much a human-shaped Tyrant Bear!
"Gurgle~"
Silkworm Baby's body curled up a little and trembled in fear.
The human-shaped bear is much scarier than Little Wind Horse!
Su Hao was also shocked.
But apart from the shock, he had to admit that Coach Xiong made sense.
If a Sprite Trainer couldn't beat sprites with their bare hands, they had to learn to hide.
He recalled the day of the barbecue party.
If the Wood Mantis bypassed Silkworm Baby and went straight toward me, could I dodge the attack?
The first lesson Coach Xiong taught them was to be fearful. Sprite Trainers should know how to protect themselves outside.
The morning mass lesson came to an end.
Coach Xiong called his Tyrant Bear, which was making rumbling noises while playing with rocks at the rocky area, and they left together.
Then, all the students finally heaved a sigh of relief.
They weren't scared but merely too tired!
Normal training followed after the battle demonstration. Though it was called a battle class, in fact, it was still physical training.
In the words of the Big Black Bear, "A bunch of weak chicks who can't even stand firmly, still hope to learn skills?"
Su Hao and others, whose sprites performed well, actually received some special training.
As a result, they were even more tired.
"Gurgle, gurgle_( ́ཀ`」∠)_."
Silkworm Baby looked like a loaf of huge caterpillar bread printed onto the ground… It couldn't move at all. It had really lost its fighting ability now.
Su Hao lay with his arms and legs spread out. His whole body was exhausted.
Almost all Sprite stream students and their sprites were the same.
The boys and girls sweated all over while the sprites were dizzy-eyed.
A very energetic voice echoed. "Woo-Ha! Run 20 more rounds!"
Su Hao turned and looked over.
The sun was blindingly bright. A figure was running with much difficulty on the runway, yet his smile was still as bright as the sun. Even his Kungfu Pup, which looked like a drowned dog in the water, crawled in the back on all fours, instead of standing upright.

Seemingly aware of Su Hao's look, Li Songting turned his head to look, formed a fist, and extended it toward the sky. He silently muttered, "Come on, go on."
Go on the heck(╯‵□′)╯(┻━┻!
Are you a human-shaped sprite, huh?
"Gurgle~"
Silkworm Baby disagreed weakly.
Even a sprite can't do it!
…
After a long rest, Su Hao sat up slowly.
The original plan was to go home for dinner, but he really didn't want to ride a bike now. Thus, he had to call home and stay in the school canteen for lunch.
The food at An City First High was not bad, but the canteen was a bit far. It was on the main campus side.
The exhausted Sprite stream students, who walked on the way there, got a lot of attention.
Su Hao was the center of attention. Every once a while, students from the same class or different classes would come to curry favor with him.
"Tea, big boss."
"Soup, big boss."
"Energy drink, big boss."
…
After the high-intensity training, having academic classes actually felt especially comfortable.
Su Hao was quickly doing practice questions. It was a set of sprite practice questions. He had already reached integrated questions.
(Please select the option different from the other three options from the following four options (you may select more than one) and explain the reasons.]
This kind of multiple-choice question was the most common question format in the Sprite stream exam.
But this question…
Su Hao focused.
A. Golden-Winged Sky Silkworm
B. Forest Wolf
C. Earth Wolf
D. Marionette
Firstly, choose C because Golden-Winged Sky Silkworm is Wood-Element. Out of the four choices, only Earth Wolf is Earth-Element.
Secondly, choose A, because Golden-Winged Sky Silkworm is the third-stage evolution of Silkworm Baby, its final stage, and all others are a second-stage evolution.
Next, choose D, because Marionette is a double-element sprite of "Wood+Consciousness", while all others are single-element sprites.
Finally, B can also be chosen because Forest Wolf is a rare sprite that can learn the human language. Its final evolution, Doctor Wolf, is called the great inventor among the sprites, while other sprites can hardly learn the human language under ordinary circumstances.

Considering the above, this question's answer is ABCD.
After finishing it, Su Hao heaved a sigh of relief.
He didn't expect that after becoming a Sprite stream student, he still had to struggle in the vast sea of practice questions.
My life is too difficult.
"Gurgle(;¬_¬)".
Silkworm Baby looked down on him. It moved its position and continued to stare at a Chinese textbook.
Su Hao gave it a look and was slightly stunned.
Since when is Silkworm Baby so fond of learning?
I feel ashamed!
My enthusiasm for learning is not even comparable to a silkworm.
On Saturday…
Su Hao was in the bedroom and had started preparing a new training plan for Silkworm Baby.
He didn't intend to do it so early at first. However, the school placed great importance on the five-school joint combat practice.
The five schools were An City First High, Yunhua First High, Yunhua University Affiliated High School, Xingyuan High School, and Ping City First High.
All of them were outstanding high schools in their respective cities.
Among them, Yunhua University Affiliated High School was affiliated with Yunhua Sprite University, and its faculty was far stronger than An City First High.
The former First High student with a soul power of 2.1 had gotten transferred to Yunhua Affiliated High School. It was unknown what other geniuses there were!
Yunhua First High was similarly very strong. Every cohort had a lot of students admitted into top-level universities.
Xingyuan High School was a private high school, with most of its students being from pretty rich backgrounds, and their advantage in Sprite stream could be imagined.
When thinking this way, An City First High and Ping City First High were the ones together at the bottom.
Su Hao felt a lot of pressure.
He… His Silkworm Baby couldn't even dominate in An City First High.
Wouldn't it be terribly beaten during the combat practice then?
"That wouldn't do. I have to increase Silkworm Baby's speed of training.
"Since Silkworm Baby still has the energy to read books, this shows that the training intensity right now is not enough."
Su Hao had already forgotten who was the one that had told Silkworm Baby to learn and get cultured.
He glanced at the Intelligence Points.
After two months of accumulation, finishing studying all the new semester textbooks, his Intelligence Points had already reached 139.
"The potential for basic cultivation is not yet fully explored, but targeted enhancement training can also be started."
Speed-Enhancement Cultivation (Unlock with 30 Intelligence Points);
Spiritual Force-Enhancement Cultivation (Unlock with 60 Intelligence Points);
"Spiritual force is more important. I'll unlock the cultivation plan for enhancing spiritual force first."
Su Hao's Intelligence Points were reduced nearly to half with a Ding-Dong.
Then, a heavy stream of information flooded his brain at once.
Su Hao sat still for several minutes before he gradually came back to himself. He rubbed his somewhat sore head.
"Fortunately, I didn't unlock both plans at the same time."
There was a great deal of information and at least ten times the resources for basic cultivation. It included the advanced methods for using spiritual force, clever usage of unique skills, rapidly recovering spiritual force, and so on. Most importantly, how to increase the quality of spiritual force.
"So that's it…
"Before sprites reach entry-level, the limit of spiritual force is not fixed. For some sprites, it's only 100, but some others can reach 120, or 130…"
This depended on how well the sprites were cultivated.
Su Hao felt that similar knowledge would also be taught in the next semester.
However…
"By relying on unique methods of cultivation, one can expand the sprite's limit and allow the sprite to accumulate as much spiritual force as possible before entry-level, and then… It can actually be compressed multiple times?!"

The Ordinary Life of Tom Nobody
[participant in the 2018 NaNoWriMo Royal Road challenge] The Ordinary Life of Tom Nobody is a LitRPG system story where each person transitions into the system, or SCHEMA as this system is known, innocent and unaware of his former life. Following the tutorial, memories return, but by this point, each person has a better chance of accepting their new world. It also gives them an opportunity to start from scratch, fresh without all the baggage of their former lives dictating their decisions in the early stages of the process. I don’t expect this will necessarily turn into an action-packed heroic tale, my intent is to create a character who wants to have just an ordinary, but reasonably comfortable life. I don’t know myself how well he will succeed, there may be twists and Tom may discover some heroism hidden deep inside. I guess we’ll find out together. This is my first writing attempt. I’ve wanted to write all my life, but I’ve never been able to develop the proper discipline to put in the work. I hope I complete the challenge and work my way past this hump. I am writing this as part of the NaNoWriMo Royal Road Challenge. While I will try to self-edit as I go, the challenge requires close to 2,000 words a day, so parts of the story may be rough, and things like plot lines may not make as much sense as any of us would like. If all goes well, and I complete the challenge, I plan on going back through everything and trying to polish it up. In the meanwhile, thank you for reading and I hope I don’t disappoint.

As a note: I have tons of worldbuilding done (probably way more than needed, as that was why the rewrites took so long.
