《Harry Potter: Blood of the Dragon 》Chapter 206: Family Matters

The meeting came to an end soon and everyone returned to their work. Magnus needed to go home and pack his bags. He was going to be staying with Nicolas Flamel for a few days and learn about alchemy.
Dumbledore had already talked with Nicolas and Magnus even received a letter from the old wizard himself. He sounded excited to be teaching him about Alchemy. For Flamel, Magnus' Merlin roots mattered the most. Because he was alive in a time when the stories of Merlin were told in every magical home. He grew admiring the wizard.
When Magnus arrived home he saw Ragnar watching television. There were some wildlife-related programs going on. Summer was also sitting on his shoulder and Chad was sitting on his lap. There was a whole 8 seater sofa empty but the two still had to sit on Ragnar.
"Mag, did you know, a group of owls is called a parliament. Hehe, I guess our Summer also runs a Parliament." Ragnar jokingly said.
Magnus chuckled, "Haha, I know. I also know that a group of pandas is known as an embarrassment. And a group of Apes is called a shrewdness."
"HAHAHA... I can understand the Pandas as they are embarrassingly clumsy, but why Apes?" Ragnar asked laughingly.
"I didn't know. But Gorillas are still the best and cool, they are smart too so it's okay to call them shrewd." Magnus reasoned.
"Of course, you and your obsession with Gorillas. Where were you? I asked dad but he didn't know." Ragnar asked.
Magnus sighed, "You really don't remember anything you do in your sleep. I just formed the Order of Merlin with Ted, Tom, Adrian and Edgar. I asked you to come along but you said you wanted to sleep more."
"AAAA... Dammit..." Ragnar cursed himself. He wanted to be there to witness the scene.
"I am going to meet Nicolas Flamel now, I will stay at his home for a few days. Wanna come?" He asked him.
Ragnar shouted in agreement, "YES! I was waiting for this. Let's go, quick."
He ran to his room to pack his bag. Magnus though waited for his parents to return home. He waited for a long time. But even after 10 PM, they did not come back. Now he got a little worried.

He picked up his phone and called their security teams.
*BEEP BEEP* The call did not connect.
Magnus summoned George immediately, "GEORGE!... Where are mum and dad?"
George appeared, "I was with your father at the workshop, sir. He is busy working on a new engine. Dobby was supposed to be with Lady Grace."
"DOBBY!" He summoned Dobby this time.
*POP*
"Maste... Mister Pendragon, what can I do for you?" Dobby appeared.
"Where is my mum? She usually comes back by 8 at max." He asked.
Dobby nervously rubbed his hands, "Sir, she... she's at a club with Princess Royal."
Magnus' face turned angry. This Princess Royal was the person who was conspiring against him, her boyfriend was publishing propaganda against him. He had told the queen to deal with her too. "Did she go there by herself?"
"I... don't know... Dobby only saw them smiling together." Dobby replied.
George sighed and scolded the young elf, "Fool, humans smile even when they are not happy. You need to become good enough to read the room."
"Take me to her, now. Teleport me to some secluded part of the club." He ordered.
"TAKE ME TOO!" Ragnar also came with a bag full of potions. "I will bloody dissolve their bodies if they even touch mum."
Magnus did not stop him, he would do the same if Grace was harmed. Dobby did as asked and teleported them away. George also followed them.
...
A certain high-class club.
Mostly rich people come here as only they can afford the stuff being sold here. A single drink here costs more than an average person's monthly salary.
Magnus arrived there and immediately felt disgusted. Most people here were either high-level government officials, MPs or nobles.
~Tax money is being utilised very well here.~ he muttered to himself.
"Where is mum?" Ragnar asked.
Dobby pointed to the side. "There, sir. They're in a private room."
Dobby invisibly led them to the private section. Magnus was stopped there by a guard.
He glanced at the man with dangerous eyes, "My face is plastered on newspapers and televisions every day now. Don't tell me you don't recognise me."

"Sir... T-This private section is only for adults..." the guard nervously said.
*Sigh*
"I don't have time to deal with this nonsense. Stupefy." With a whisper of a spell, the man fell to the ground.
He barged into the so-called private area. There were rooms with curtains here. Magnus noticed activities happening in one of the rooms. There was an old man and a young woman who was dancing in front of him in no clothes.
~So this is one of those rich clubs that make the rich happy at all costs.~ he realised and got angrier. How dare that woman bring his mum here?
"George, take photographs of every single person doing objectionable things here." He ordered and proceeded to follow Dobby.
But when Dobby was just about to enter, he dragged him back and told them to keep quiet. Magnus put his ear near the curtain and tried to listen to what was going on inside.
"Lady Grace, why don't you take another drink..."
"No, I've already drunk too much... I need to be back home soon..." Grace's voice came. From her voice, it was clear she was too much drunk. Magnus had never seen his mother drink to this point.
"Lady Grace, what do you think about this place? Isn't this nice? Everything is available here, even things that shouldn't be. Just wait, I have a surprise for you."
All of a sudden, from a curtain from the other side, a muscular man, in only jeans and no shirt entered. He had too much perfume on himself and oil on his torso, defining his muscles and abs.
"What do you think?"
Grace huffed, "Good, but Adam has much better muscles and abs, those are like made of metal actually. I wonder when he gets time to exercise."
*KA-CHAK*
Magnus noticed a camera flash. Everything made sense now, all became clear. He was looking for the motive and he found it.
~Incendio~ He burned the camera to ashes in an instant. The man who was taking the picture screamed in fright and ran away.
"Dobby, catch him and bring him back." He ordered.
Ragnar was also raging, his eyes were already red. Family, especially Grace, was too precious to him. He had seen a tragedy happen to his mother once, and he was very protective of this mother.
*WOOSH*
Before Magnus could enter, Ragnar barged in and quickly ran to the royal princess. "YOU LUNATIC WOMAN!"
*BAM*
He grabbed her hair and pulled her down from her seat, with his wand and a potion bottle in his hand ready to be poured down her throat.
"YOU DARE TO LAY HAND ON MY MOTHER?!"
The naked man there was shocked and scared. Magnus entered and the man quickly recognised him.
*SLAP*
Magnus threw a stash of 50-pound bills stacks on the man's face. "Wait outside, and if you dare to run, the country's police will be after you."
The man whimpered and ran out. Then Magnus went to his mother and held her hand, "Mum, are you okay?"
Grace was very drunk, she smiled and started doting on him. She caressed his face and kissed his forehead, "Aw... my sweet child. What did I do to deserve such an overachiever? And Ragnar, my beautiful boy, you are so kind to me and Adam. Come here, give mum a hug."
Ragnar's heart melted and he pulled the hair of the royal princess harder. He then handed something to Magnus, "Magnus, give this potion to mum, it will quickly dissolve the alcohol in her system."
Magnus did as asked, "Mum, let's go home now. You are drunk, here, drink this and you will be good."
"Really? Hehe, okay then. I'd even drink poison if it's you giving it." She continued to dote on him.
Magnus did not even look at the Royal Princess or stop Ragnar from cursing or hurting her. She deserved it all. And Magnus would not be easy on her. But first, he needed to hear Grace's side of the story.

The yellow streets of Heabury proper, colored red with human copper. -? S.V, Scholar of Dawn.' -- Author note: Hi, SeV here. I'm not a fan of writing my entire story premise in the synopsis. For that, read the prologue and chapter 1. Suffice it to say that I think it's a cool idea and I already have a few things planned and a world sort of formed in my mind. I like Epic fantasy, lightnovels with OP MCs, Litrpg, sci-fi, any many other things. This story is written for myself, so it may include all sorts of diffent elements and character interactions and even experimental things that I'm trying out as a writer in order to improve. My intention with this is to pretty much post as I write, and acquire feedback from you folks in the process. I of course hope you like my story, but feel free to criticize anything since this is a project to improve myself. Even if it isn't strictly criticism, any feedback positive or negative is welcome since I am interested in what other people think of my writing style and what I can improve on. Since it's growing generically I'll be interested in your thoughts and speculations on future events and any suggestions moving forward will be taken into consideration. Hope you enjoy my stuff. - SeV
