Jeff didn't like this guy. But they were still in the same faction.
Jeff was not that interested in beating up his allies.
"Alright." The dude shrugged. "The corrupting energy is already at work I see. Well. Fine. You can say no. But I'll just have to use some force, and it may hurt a little."
"Go darling!"
"Remember to be gentle honey!"
"It's the Mission Machine. Don't harm him too badly. We wouldn't want to declare war with sanctuary."
"Don't worry my loves." The dude winked at the girls.
"Wait." Jeff leaned back with knitted brows. "You have 3 girlfriends?"
"Well. Obviously."
"Dude. It's the 21st century. You can't do that." Jeff looked at the dude with a 'are you serious' face.
"Exactly bro. It's the 21st century! It's their freedom and rights to fall in love with me. And I love all three of them with my whole heart. I can't just dump two of them and hurt their feelings right? It's an impossible decision for me!" The dude shrugged with open hands.
"Do you hear what you are saying? You sound like a scumbag..."
With a wide smile, the dude flicked his brows at Jeff. "What. You are jealous?"
"Noooo..." Jeff firmly shook his head. "Why would I. I mean, I'm happy with my girlfriend. No s. Singular."
"Suuuurrree." The dude smirked.
Jeff: ...
The dude: ...
"So..." Jeff nodded with squinting eyes. "Who becomes the wife, and who's the mistress. Like, how do you guys determine that."
"Nothing wrong with 3 wives."
"Huh..."
"It's always been like this in my family." The dude shrugged. "Alright. Enough talking. I can pass some more experience to you later."
"Now. I'll have to retrieve that from you." The staff in Daylor Anas' hand suddenly bursted out a blinding light.

In an instance, a layer of light covered Daylor's body like an armor. His energy signature surged from A-rank to S-rank!
Like a blur, the dude dashed towards Jeff.
Smash!
The dude's staff smacked into the ground.
Bam!
Mud, cement, and wooden pieces exploded into the air. A pothole appeared on the cement floor.
Jumping back, Jeff examined the wooden staff in his hand.
"Waiittt..." The dude looked at the staff in Jeff's hand. Then he looked his empty hands. He also lost that cover of light now.
"Hoooold on." The dude looked at Jeff in disbelief. "This is not right."
"Uh huh. Yep." Jeff nodded. The stick in his hand was trying to fly back to the dude. It's like there was an invisible hand tugging on the stick or something.
With a swipe, Jeff erased the psychic connection between the two.
Daylor's face reddened up. "I would give it back if I were you. You wouldn't want to mess with my family."
"Hmm... Maybe." Jeff nodded. "But first, I don't think that's how you are supposed to use this."
Jeff inserted his mana into this staff. The staff still looked like an ordinary wooden stick.
Jeff tapped the staff forward, hitting the air in front of him.
Bonk.
Daylor Anas' eyes rolled up. Leaning forward, the dude fell to the wet ground.
"Alright. You guys are free now." Jeff nodded at the girls.
The girls looked shocked for a moment.
Then, they looked... not happy? A little angry even...
"What?"
"What have you done?"
"Give Daylor's staff back!"
The girls rushed to the unconscious dude. Flocking around, they checked up on Daylor.
Jeff raised his hands. "Don't worry. He's knocked out for good. He can't threaten you guys now."

"Do you guys have anything to tell me?" Jeff squinted.
Just to check up on Daylor's identity. You know. Can't just believe a stranger's words.
"What? What makes you think that?"
"Come on. Are you stupid?"
"If Daylor is hurt. I will. I WILL!" The girl in leather armor pointed at Jeff with her short sword. She was tearing up now.
"I totally will you know what. Yeah! I'll get you. I'll get you somehow..."
Jeff raised his brows. He didn't feel threatened at all.
These girls were just D-ranks. Maybe B-ranks. Jeff couldn't really tell. The difference wasn't that big to him.
"So you guys are serious..." Jeff slowly nodded with squinting eyes. "And not forced into this. You guys are ok with this guy... being this way?"
Jeff felt that his worldview had been refreshed.
"Well. Daylor is good looking. And a Chad. And strong." One girl blushed.
"And he did save my life. And he gave us a safe home." The other girl blushed with a blessed smile.
"To be honest, my life is even better in this fog world. Daylor is really rich... And hot." The third girl brushed Daylor's hair.
"You are the weirdo alright? At your level, why wouldn't you have mistresses?"
"What. Are you scared of your girlfriend?" The mage girl smirked. Her glass orb was glowing now. Finally charged, it's emitting a healing light now.
"What? why would I be scared? It's respect." Jeff shook his head. "Anyways, I'll leave you guys to that."
Holding onto this wooden staff, Jeff felt like he was gradually building a connection with this item.
Based off feelings and instinct, Jeff inserted more mana into this staff.
Pointing at a void rift, the tip of the staff suddenly radiated with a warm creamy light. Under this light, that rift quickly closed up.
Jeff had a feeling that this staff was happy? His bond with this item had strengthened? Weird.
Injecting more mana into this staff, Jeff pointed at the rifts in the sky.
One after another, they closed up as well.
Jeff suddenly felt a tug on this staff. It's trying to smash into Jeff's black sword.
'Alright. That's enough.' Jeff popped both items into his storage space.
Jeff didn't know if Daylor was against the void. But this staff was certainly hostile against the void.
Jeff looked at the girls... At which he received: an intense glare. A despising pitiful gaze. A menacing squint.
"So..." Jeff nodded.
"Are you going to give us Daylor's staff now."
"Why did you hit him so hard."
"If Daylor becomes dumb, I'll get you..."
"Uh huh... Yeeesss. Anyways." Jeff nodded. He didn't want to argue with angry women.
"If this guy's family wants to find me, I'll be in the sanctuary."
Looking down the hill, Magni was cleaning up the job now.
Looking around with detection skills... No void race left. Nice.
"My shift is over now. So if you have questions, you can ask the guy down there. Magni can answer your questions." Leaving that message, Jeff lowered his body.
With a burst, Jeff disappeared.
