《Rise of the Horde 》Chapter 5

Slowly inching forward, with nervous but steady steps, Xiao Chen and his subordinates approached the busy golem. With hearts beating fast from nervousness or excitement like Galum'nor, they moved stealthily as possible.
'Bang' 'Bang' 'Bang'
The golem continued pounding the mountain walls, still oblivious to the approaching danger. Galum'nor, being a muscle head as he was, shouted loudly and madly rushed forward as Xiao Chen stared at him in both annoyance and surprise.
The golem, successfully attracted by Galum'nor's shout, turned his head and stared at Xiao Chen and his group, then towards the charging Galum'nor.
"Oh! Customers"
It said with a deep and loud voice while waving at Xiao Chen and his group who had mouths wide open in shocked. The golem then looked at Galum'nor, grabbed the tree trunk that was supposed to smash to its left leg with its bulky rock hand and lifted it up, and along came Galum'nor, who refused to release his weapon.
"Aggressive customer...no discount for you"
It said while pointing a finger at Galum'nor with his other hand, then picked something from behind the piled up boulders, the result of its pounding on the mountain walls.
Xiao Chen stared in disbelief. He was speechless and just stared at the golem, still busy rummaging through the boulders looking for something, but soon came to his senses then turned to look at his companions and discovered their also shocked expressions.
"Was this supposed to happen?"
He can't help but ask. He was confused about what was happening.
"Ahem... This is a first"
Rakh'ash'tha said, shrugged his shoulders and stored the readied concoctions inside his crudely made bag while the others sighed in relief. They sighed in relief, perhaps because the expected battle didn't occur, nor do they want it to occur. Trot'thar sat on the ground, Draegh'ana sheathed her swords on their scabbard on her back, Aro'shanna lowered her enormous axe and Gur'kan just stood in a place, unsure of what to do or what to say.
"Friends... customers... come see my wares... see anything you like... I give discount to everyone.... except for this one"

The golem spoke in broken Orcish language, pausing and continuing after a few words like he was thinking of what are the words to say next then brought forward a box made of logs, tied in a square-ish shape by vines containing different items and pointing a finger at Galum'nor, telling everyone that Galum'nor won't be having any discount.
The square-ish box contained many things, like ores, fruits, rocks, weapons and other things. Xiao Chen and his group continued being speechless. 'What is this, a merchant golem' Xiao Chen thought, staring dumbly at the still excited golem.
"A spirit crystal... a thravum ore... a dargan skin... a herkan stone"
Rakh'ash'tha named a few of the wares that the golem displayed in a surprised tone.
"Are these things precious or rare?"
Xiao Chen can't help but curiously ask. He didn't know what these things were or what were their uses, but Rakh'ash'tha's tone and his very own curiosity prompted him to ask.
"Well... a spirit crystal is something only found deep in the undergrounds with an abundance of spiritual energy, useful to shamans in increasing their mana... The thravum ore is the hardest one to find since it only exists near rivers of fire and only in small quantities, it can be used to forge weapons and armors that are more durable and resilient than any other metal, even the pinkskins thinks so, their highest chieftain had a weapon made of such ore which he treasured dearly even sacrificing great numbers of his army once just to recover his sword from the Warghen Tribe who looted it from his eldest son's corpse. The dargan is one of the strongest and feared predator of Lag'ranna Mountains armed with a sharp set of teeth, claws and skin so thick that a full blow of sword from an orc won't penetrate its thick skin and the herkan stone, a useful stone which can be ground to dust and mixed with several herbs to make a good healing salve..."
Rakh'ash'tha explained in details as he stared dumbfounded at the strange golem. With those details, Xiao Chen now knew that these wares were rare and precious.

"Glad you... know my goods"
The golem said while smiling sheepishly but obviously proud since his parents and kind laughed at his crazy deeds and dreams to become a merchant which seemed unrealistic to them since no creature with a good mind will do business with a talking piece of huge rock much less communicate with one. Golems are creatures that tend to destroy things with their innate talents and abilities and are very hostile to any other creatures besides their own kind, earning them a poor reputation.
"A merchant golem... that's odd"
Draegh'ana can't help but mutter. She had never seen or encountered one and, according to the words of the elders, this golem is indeed very different from his kind.
"My parents, brothers and brethren laughed at me wanting to be a merchant, that's why I ran away from home. I want to prove to them I can be a merchant, a successful one"
The golem said with a solemn tone while putting down the tree trunk club along with its wielder, who refused to let it go.
"Ugh... strong rock creature"
Galum'nor sulked in a corner, unhappy that his strength, which he was proud of, was not worth a thing to the golem.
"What can we use to buy your wares?"
Xiao Chen asked the golem. He was interested in the golem's wares and wanted to get his hands on them, specially that thravum ore which he wanted to use to forge a personal weapon.
The golem had a hard time determining what to sell his wares for but then just decided that the human money will do for his first transaction or an exchange of items of the same value.
"Gold coins... or items of the same value will do"
The golem then pointed at Gur'kan's attire and smiled as innocently as possible, making Xiao Chen think the golem was but a child that's why it wasn't as aggressive as they expected it to be.
Xiao Chen then was glad that he looted some pouches of gold coins from the enemies that he had slain. He had two pouches filled to the brim with human coins, gold, silver and copper, which are more many than the first two.
He then unfastened the pouches on his waist as the coins made almost inaudible chinking sounds as Xiao Chen waved them in front of the golem.
"Will these coins suffice?"
Xiao Chen asked. He didn't know how much the golem priced his wares; he prayed silently for his coins to be adequate to buy the golem's rare items.
"How many coins do you have?"
The golem made a questioning look as he stared at the pouches of coins, still very excited about making his first transaction.
Xiao Chen was dumbfounded. He opened one of the pouch and gave the other to Rakh'ash'tha to count. After counting the total number of coins, they had the last count of thirteen gold coins, three hundred and twenty-four silver coins and four thousand six hundred and seventy-eight copper coins.
"How much for these?"
Xiao Chen picked the items mentioned and explained by Rakh'ash'tha and didn't bother checking out the other common wares which were skins of other animals, strange looking stones or the many kinds of plants or maybe just common weeds collected by the golem.
"Ugh... how much do you offer?"
The golem asked Xiao Chen, making him speechless. Since human coins are useless in the orc community, Xiao Chen just offered all the coins in his possession for the golem's wares. The golem then proudly declared.
"I, Hakarr, will bring you more good items in the future"
*****
With the successful transaction, Xiao Chen and his group proceeded forward with the aid of Hakarr clearing the path of the boulders then bade them goodbye as it continued to pound on the mountain walls when Xiao Chen and his group were already far enough, not to be affected by his actions.

Godfather Of Champions
This is a story about the pursuit of victory.— «I subscribe only to the theory of victory. I only pursue victory. As long as I am able to obtain victory, I don’t care if it’s total football or counterattack. What is the ultimate goal of professional soccer? In my opinion, it is victory, and the pinnacle of victory is to become the champions. I am a manager. If I don’t wish to lose my job or be forgotten by the people, there’s only one path for me to take, and that is to lead the team in obtaining victories, in obtaining championship titles!»The main character was not well-liked by people.— «⋯We conducted a survey which had been deemed by Manager Tony Twain as extremely meaningless. In a random street survey conducted, ninety-three percent of those surveyed chose the option ‘I hate Tony Twain’, while only seven percent chose the option ‘This person is rather decent, I like him’. It is worth noting that nobody chose the option ‘Who is Tony Twain? I don’t know him’. Mark, do you know why Manager Twain felt that our survey was very meaningless?» Parker, a reporter from laughed loudly and said when he was being interviewed by BBC.But there were also people who were madly in love with him.— When Tony Twain was forced to talk about the survey conducted by during an interview, his reply was : «I am happy, because Nottingham Forest’s fans make up seven percent of England’s population.»And he did not seem to care about how the others saw him.— «What are you all trying to make me say? Admit that I am not popular, and everywhere I go will be filled with jeers and middle fingers. You all think I will be afraid? Wrong! Because I am able to bring victory to my team and its supporters. I don’t care how many people hate me and can’t wait to kill me, and I also won’t change myself to accommodate the mood of these losers. You want to improve your mood? Very simple, come and defeat me.»His love story had garnered widespread attention.— «Our reporters took these pictures at Manager Tony Twain’s doorsteps. It clearly shows that Shania entered his house at 8.34pm and she did not leave the house throughout the night at all. But Manager Tony Twain firmly denies, and insists that that was merely the newest-model inflatable doll which he had ordered. He was the number one star of the team.— «⋯ Became the spokesperson of world-wide famous clothing brands, shot advertisements, frequented the fashion industry’s award ceremonies, endorsed electronic games, has a supermodel girlfriend. His earnings from advertisements exceed his club salary by seventeen times, owns a special column in various print medias, publishing his autobiography (in progress), and is even said that he is planning to shoot an inspirational film based off his own person experiences! Who can tell me which part of his life experiences is worthy of being called ‘inspirational’? Hold on⋯. Are you all thinking that I’m referring to David Beckham? You’re sorely mistaken! I’m talking about Manager Tony Twain⋯.»He was very knowledgeable about Chinese soccer.— «⋯ I’ve heard about it, that Bora gifted four books to his manager Mr. Zhu before your country’s national team’s warm up match. After which, the team lost 1:3 to a nameless American team from Major League Soccer. The new excuse that Mr. Zhu gave for losing the match, was that Bora gifted «books» (‘books’ and ‘lose’ are homophones in the Chinese language). Here, I recommend that you guys find out what that one specific book is. Which book? Of course the one that caused you all to score a goal. After that, tell me the title of the book. Before every match, I will gift ten copies of that same book to you. In that case, won’t you all be able to get a triumphant 10:0 win over your opponents every time?» An excerpt taken from Tony Twain’s special column in a certain famous Chinese sports newspaper. He was loved and hated by the press.— «He has a special column in at least four renowned print media, and he is able to get a considerable amount of remuneration just by scolding people or writing a few hundred words of nonsense weekly. While we have to contemplate hard about our drafts for three days before our boss is pleased with it. In an article inside his special column, he scolded and called all of the media ‘son of a bitch’, announcing that he hated the media the most. But every time he publishes an article, we flock towards him like flies which had spotted butter. Why? Because the readers like to read his news and see him scold people. I dare to bet with you, and Manager Tony Twain knows clearly in his heart as well, that even though he says that he hates us, he knows that the present him cannot do without us. Similarly, we also cannot do without him. Is this ultimately considered a good or a bad thing?» Bruce Pearce, a reporter from said with a face of helplessness when talking about Tony Twain. But no matter the case, his players were his most loyal believers.— Gareth Bale, «No no, we never had any pressure when playing on our home grounds. Because the pressure is all on the manager. As long as we see him standing by the side of the field, all of us will feel that we will be able to win that match. Even the football hooligans are like meek lambs in front of him!» (After saying this, he began to laugh out loudly)The reply from George Wood, the team captain of Nottingham Forest, was the most straightforward. «We follow him because he can bring us victory.»The legendary experience of Tony Twain, the richest, most successful, most controversial manager with the most unique personality!Debuting this summer.Thank you for reading.

The Magitons
Book 3 of the Universe Series This novel continues the adventure from the previous novel, Ocean of Dreams. Each novel is meant to stand alone. Widhbo ( pronounced "wee bow") is a MC who will be in each of the six novels in the main series. The starship Sora had been hurtling through space using its FTL propulsion system toward the Dezba star system for over a decade since leaving the planet Beldora of the Hellsaxe system. The Sora had crash landed on Beldora over a century earlier carrying a couple of aliens from another dimension. The ship came from the Borrugal Realm, a band world associated with what was known as the Tor Galaxy, what we call the Milky Way. Human life on Beldora was never the same. Under the influence of the alien known as Widhbo, Beldora was catapulted from the steam age to the space age. The majority of the scientific advances on Beldora were attributed to the leadership of a brilliant man, Jejliard Castonea, who was secretly manipulated by the alien, Widhbo. When rapid advances in technology inadvertently led to a nuclear war, Jejliard decided to evacuate his family, friends and co-workers on the Sora. The plan was to find a new habitable planet and rebuild civilization until they could safely return home. Much to his despair, Jejliard’s family and friends opted to stay on Beldora to ride out the war underground. Even the other alien, Gengor, stayed behind. Borrowing technology stored in the archives of the Sora, Widhbo managed to transfer the personalities of those staying on the planet into digital storage units known as magitons which could survive indefinitely in cold, sterile space. Living crew members who elected to stay on board the Sora were also uploaded to ensure immortality for everyone in case their life support systems failed en route. Widhbo sought to design a cyber paradise for everyone inside their virtual worlds, but things never go as planned where Widhbo is concerned.

Let's Shine
So, first things first, this here is a magical girl thing. There are girls in it, they have magical abilities, fight supervillains (who have magical abilities, too, but in a more menacing way, like superpowers), and also do girly stuff. But it's not for children. Or at least not entirely. The idea is, it should be cute, but at the same time serious. Cute-serious, yeah… So, this is experimental for me. I'm planning to make short updates for as long as I can keep it up or until the plot resolves itself, whichever comes first. Most of all, I'm planning to not overthink or overedit things as much as I usually do, so there are bound to be mistakes and inconsistencies. I'll try my best to keep them to a minimum, though. But if you notice something, please feel free to tell me!
