《Psycho X Psychic 》Chapter 130: Sunday - A Day of Vacation 5

There was a weird mood that only Nick was able to feel. He was called in as a third wheel and that's enough reason for him to feel uncomfortable.
However, he has a plan.
'I have to be nothing!'
The weird mood was because these two were already in their own world. Nick was already out of their sight and in their mind, there was only one another. Therefore, he will go with the flow and completely disappear into non-existence!
Furthermore, Nick was proud of himself for people not dying. He knew well as he looked around. Iesa is not only a beauty in school but everywhere she went, she's in the top league!
Many men wants to hit on her but stopped upon seeing the tall banner behind her.
'Without me, you ignorant people will commit a grave mistake that will cost you your life!'
Nick felt like a saint which make him fell into his own world as well.
Eventually, they reached the area where the entrance to the cinema is.
"Let me buy the snacks!"
Nick immediately said, not letting Teren volunteer himself. If Teren would be the one out to buy, Nick was certain that he would face the brunt force of Iesa's glare.
"Oh, thanks."
After he was gone, Teren and Iesa looked around as if they don't know each other. However, it was not awkward, in fact, they were actually closing in the physical distance. They don't have control over it, it was as if each one of them holds a magnet.
However, Nick miscalculated one thing. Now that he was gone, the banner that repels the others from hitting on Iesa was gone. She was too attractive, like a light to moths.
Therefore, before long-
"Hello, sorry, can I ask something?"

One man smiled at Iesa as if his intention was harmless. However, after him, another man came too. Looking at each other, they immediately knew.
'He's going to hit on her!'
Iesa's eyelids dropped.
In these men's eyes, Teren has already faded into the background. He seemed like the type to be the guy to be friend-zoned, they thought which greatly annoyed Iesa.
"Sorry, but I have something to talk to her too. Actually, I'm just alone and I have a coupon for two people, I was hoping to invite her since she seemed by herself and free."
The second man said.
Teren pointed at himself with a raised eyebrow.
'I guess they can't see me?'
He still has no idea what these men were up to, unlike Nick or Iesa.
The first man looked at his hand and looked at his own coupon, he then looked at the second man's hand and saw the same thing. The second guy did the same.
'This guy!'
They thought.
"Hey, stop bothering the lady."
The first two looked and were immediately intimidated. A third guy appeared along with his gang. They seemed to go to the gym together as their muscles could be seen through their shirts, needless to say, they were big people.
"Are you okay, lady?"
The third guy with a hat smiled like a gentleman.
"I have a coupon but it's for two, if you like, we can go together."
'This guy is on another level, he's so smooth!'*he's not* the first two men thought in defeat.
'What's with the coupon?' Teren tilted his head but as he glanced at Iesa, he saw her troubled expression.
She no longer needs to say anything, Teren finally got it.
'They're bothering her. These fuckers!!'

While the third guy with a hat continued going on and on, Teren stepped forward. Compared to them, he looked like a wimp.
"Hm? What is it?"
The guy with the hat raised an eyebrow.
Teren looked around.
'There are so many people...'
He thought. At that point, he really felt like using the Great Spirit of Mind-Altering. However, not only is it getting weaker, he still plans on using it for important certain people, not to these randos.
"Huh? Why are you getting silent?"
'Damn, hahaha, look at this wimp! He tried to stand up to her but froze up!'
Not just the guy with a hat but everyone else was thinking this.
'Should I smash their ugly faces right here, right now!?' it was Iesa who thought of that when she heard of this.
"You're very rude, I'm talking to this lady and you just come up and stand there. What do you want?"
The guy kept going and going while Teren was thinking of what to do in this situation. He could come up with a thousand ways to torture and murder these people but that's unnecessary. That's for later.
If he acted now, not only would they attract attention, even their plan for the day would be ruined.
"What, are you her boyfriend or something!?"
The third guy snickered, mocking Teren. But at that moment, a bolt of lightning struck Teren. A golden idea popped into his head. If he didn't do it now, he would never get this opportunity ever again.
'Yes! But not yet! And I'm going to smash your ugly faces!' Iesa readied her fists as she stepped forward but before she could swing her arm, she felt something pull her waist.
"Yeah, I'm her boyfriend, I love her very much, what about it?"
Teren, a current opportunist, said in an 'act'
At that moment, Iesa died. Though she revived a moment later but when she remembered what happened, she died again, making her fall into a great stupor. Just a little more and she would foam in her mouth.
"Stop daydreaming! Look at what you're doing to the lady, you're making her uncomfortable!"
Seeing how Teren got to warp his arm around the beauty's slim waist and pull her in, the men were filled with jealousy.
"No! What he said is the truth, I'm her girlfriend and I really really love him very much too. Why are you not believing him? Do you want to see proof? Hehe- ehem! I can show it."
Iesa, a current opportunist, hugged Teren tightly as she 'acted'
Her breathing hastened as her chest drummed. She knew that at the moment, she had a smile that was so wide, it could be defined as creepy.
But due to her desperate action, the men concluded.
"You're just pretending, it's too obvious!"
They've lost their reasoning. So what if she's pretending? That just means get lost, the other people who watched the scene from the start thought.
But Teren was unable to respond to that as he had also died.

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
