《Loki’s Successor System 》Chapter 64: Water Attack

The entirety of the car was flooded with water. Should they linger a few seconds longer, they were going to drown. Tristan was the only one who didn't brim his lungs with breath; he acted as if he could breathe underwater.
He furrowed his brows. He quickly spread his arms out as wide as possible. Accordingly, all the water near them had parted; going left and right. The car was empty of all liquid.
Jin, his mask on his face, finally caught a breath. His mask disappeared as he gagged, and then quickly spat water out of his mouth. Then, he placed his hand upon his chest and started panting.
Ashton and Dobby also caught their breaths.
Jin heaved. "What was that?"
Tristan opened his car door. "Trouble … trouble I can resolve." His tone was serious. He stepped out of the car, and started glaring at the figure in the distance.
They began to approach each other, slowly. A few people who had been affected by the mini tsunami stood spectating. The strange figure suddenly manifested a sphere of water as it walked. "Funny meeting you out here, brother …" he shouted so that Tristan could hear him from a distance.
Tristan's tongue clicked. "What are you doing out here, Milton? Why'd you attack us?"
Milton smirked. "I believe you already know the answer to that question. If you don't do your tasks, then I'll do them for you … can't you recall what I said about this?"
Tristan scowled. "So you intend to kill a friend of mine? You're that desperate to complete that task, huh? Y'know, this is actually good for you. You're such a huge failure that you've got nothing else to do but sit down and scratch in dad's mansion."
Milton's visage became impenetrable. The sphere of water grew, and darted toward Tristan with remarkable speed. Tristan quickly raised a hand vertically. The water parted, not touching a hair on his body.

Milton raised both his opened palms. "That was very disrespectful of you, brother. I thought we were on the best of terms now."
Water began to jet out of Milton's palms in flesh eating streams of pressure. The water burst toward Tristan. To which Tristan quickly thrust both his arms forward. The water continued to stream with incredible power but what stopped a meter away from Tristan.
Tristan clenched his teeth as he pushed with all his might. "We were never on the best of terms, because you never liked me … never. You did horrible things, Mil. Horrible things to mom despite all she's been through with dad. That's something I can't forgive!"
The streams of water were pushed four meters back.
Milton continued to spray the water from his palms. "Tristan, you'll never understand … never understand ME! You'll never understand why I'm me today, and why my past was so fucked up! Open your eyes, the answer is right in front of you!!!"
Suddenly, the streams of water broke from Tristan's control. They jetted toward him and hit him to his chest. It shredded through his clothes, and burnt him to his chest. He was set flying backward. His body slammed into the very car door he opened.
The car door was slammed shut by his body. The impact finally came to a sudden halt. Tristan writhed in agony. He gritted his teeth, and winced.
Milton started approaching him. "I've got things to make right with my life, Tristan. And I think this power you've given me is going to do just that. I have innumerable amount of things I must correct, and that's why I can't afford to get killed for not completing a fucking task!" his tone rose.
Dobby and Jin opened the door and hurried out of the car. Dobby dropped to his knees and started peering at Tristan. "Are you okay, Tris!? Did that guy up there do this to you."

"Get … out of the way guys, Milton's gonna fire at us again. It's water … but if he wants he can increase the pressure so much that it becomes akin to taking a bullet!"
Having seen Jin, Milton smirked. "Well, well, well … looky who it is. Jin, the successor of the God of Mischief. I've been searching for a Successor to kill for so long. Little did I know, one of them was right here in my city!"
Jin glared. "Milton. I can't believe you just did that to your own brother. That is something I'm not gonna tolerate."
Milton smirked. "Can you … swim, Jin?"
Jin didn't answer.
"I hope you can because it's gonna be ocean up here!" Suddenly, he shot out giant streams of water from his palms.
Suddenly, Tristan leaped to his feet. He raised a hand and a blue weapon began to manifest. The object turned into a trident. He quickly thrust the trident into the ground.
The giant streams of water suddenly fired back at Milton. Looking up at the giant volume of water, Milton hesitated. He quickly conjured water around his body in a spherical shape.
However, the water still burst through his shield, and hit him with immense force. His body was sent pitching away from the impact.
As the water cleared, Jin and Tristan could make out Milton sprawled out in the middle of the road.
Jin looked at Tristan. "What are you gonna do with him now?"
Tristan's trident disappeared. "I'll just move him aside from the road for now. I'll handle him later."

Dobby sat in the driver's seat of the car. "Tristan, the car won't start!"
Tristan approached the vehicle. He stopped in front of the car. He placed his palms upon the bonnet. His eyes flooded with focus. Suddenly, all the water in the car began to get sucked out from it.
Sources of water began to hover around Tristan. And finally, the water broke from his control and dropped to the ground. Tristan placed his hands on his waist. "Try it now, Dobby…"
Dobby slowly turned the car's ignition switch. The car immediately rumbled, and then roared as it started up. Dobby smiled softly. "Yeah it's working just fine now. You might have sucked some of the gas from the vehicle as well with your Poseidon magic."
Tristan folded his arms. "Don't worry, it's also electrical…"
"Show-off," Dobby opened the car door and stepped out of the vehicle.
Tristan then went in after him and closed the door. He clutched his hands to the steering wheel, and inched his feet closer to the gas. "Are you guys ready to go home?"
Dobby and Jin entered the vehicle. Ashton was shivering. "I am!"
As Tristan drove off, Ashton sneezed loudly, mucus running from his now pink nose. "Excuse me!"
Dobby scowled. "Eww…that sounded like a nasty one…"
Ashton tinged. "Some of Milton's water got in my nose. Sinus … its power is too inevitable for me! I think … I think I'm gonna…" his eyes closed and his mouth slowly gaped.
He sneezed and snot flew from his nostrils.
Tristan shouted, "Watch the car seats!!!

To participate in the Culling, a battle-royale style tournament that’s televised live to the world, where all the worst criminals go to die. As with all tournaments, a prize is on the line. If Algier survives, he can have any wish granted by the Marquises, the new rulers of Earth following the demons’ invasion. Demons are stronger, faster, wiser, and more talented than the average human, and, despite his crime, Algier is no demon hunter. Mentally defeated before the tournament even begins, Algier is torn between becoming another demon’s points and fighting on in his dead mother’s legacy. But should he choose to fight, there is one advantage that Algier has that can tip the odds in his favour: Demons don’t lie, but humans can. How to read this story Demons Don't Lie is written from the perspective of an unreliable (lying) narrator. There are many inconsistencies within the story which are placed there intentionally.
