《Supreme Grandpa 》Chapter 188: Strange Conspiracy
Advertisement
The extrajudicial Carefree League had repeatedly violated the laws of the country and was suspected of collaborating with the enemy.
Early this morning, it was jointly encircled and suppressed by the Ability Guild and Blue Bolt Sovereign. This news was like a heavy foot, kicking a new day in C Country so roughly.
Many people in C Country were shocked by the sudden news before they completely woke up from their sleep.
The high-level members of the Arcane Administration Association, the officials, the branch of the Martial League Academy, and the Mystic Way Guild in the provinces near Tri Dragon Province received instructions from the upper-level official immediately, and they gathered to the place where the battle broke out to participate in the defense.
On the Internet, this incident was immediately brought to the headlines by the major news media.
In C Country, the last super-powerful strike against a black and evil extrajudicial organization dated back to thirty years ago.
But the reason why people were so concerned about this matter was more than that.
After the official warning notice, many people keenly discovered two key points in the notice. One was the Blue Bolt Sovereign, and the other one was that the Carefree League colluded with the abyssal demons.
"Who is this Blue Bolt Sovereign?" This question was repeated endlessly by the netizens on the Internet.
"When the officials issued the warning, it was obvious that the Blue Bolt Sovereign and the Ability Guild were side by side. From the looks of it, this Blue Bolt Sovereign is very likely to be a hidden expert of a certain force," someone was trying to speculate.
In the end, the official media answered people's doubts.
The Blue Bolt Sovereign was no one else but the Sword Immortal who was admired and had his name pushed up everywhere previously.
After the news was released by the authority, people nodded in understanding and felt that this title was really mysterious and powerful. The image of an old man in white with an immortal air and blue thunders appeared in everyone's mind in an instant.
An illegal organization like the Carefree League died 30 years ago, now, another illegal and evil organization like that appeared again and was in a state of confrontation with the country.
To be honest, the vast majority of people in C Country did not know the Carefree League at all, so they did not really feel the persecution from the Carefree League.

Therefore, they were not very interested in the life and death of the Carefree League.
As for the Carefree League's collusion with the abyssal demons, it was forgotten by people non-selectively, and the officials obviously didn't want to shake out all the Carefree League's collusion with the abyssal demons.
Therefore, this question was quickly squeezed away by several other hot discussion points.
...
On the Internet, all netizens were watching the elimination of the Carefree League.
On the battlefront, Yang Song's second battle group and the battle group of Phantom Fire Sword Lord had already enclosed the enemy in a small encirclement.
Strangely speaking, from the beginning of the battle to the present, the Carefree League had only a few B-rank warriors who had come out as cannon fodder, and there were no other high-level powerhouses.
A super-large group organization that had been entrenched in the southwest of the country for many years, the intelligence alone showed that there were far more people than this.
"What are the top leaders of the Carefree League doing?"
This was a bit weird.
Therefore, after the battle circle was reduced to the fully controllable range now, the two battle groups did not take any further action, but chose to halt their actions and meet first.
Because of the passive resistance of the Carefree League, the first and second groups of the battle had completely crushed the energy so far, so there had been no casualties.
"This situation is a little weird," Phantom Fire Sword Lord frowned and said.
Yang Song nodded in agreement and said, "From what I have discovered through my Spiritual Sense, there is indeed a lot of tyrannical aura in the lair of the Carefree League, and this is not an empty city."
"Could it be that those people from the Carefree League hope that the fragile building can become their fortress? Or do they have another conspiracy?"
Yang Song shook his head and couldn't guess anything.
Phantom Fire Sword Lord frowned and said again, "Although I don't know what their calculations are, the situation is really weird and tight at the moment. It's too dangerous for these juniors to go there. It is better for you to join forces with me and go in. What does your excellency think?"
"Good."
Regarding Phantom Fire Sword Lord's proposal, Yang Song immediately responded.
As for the Carefree League's conspiracy…
Yang Song had always firmly believed that in the face of absolute strength, all conspiracies and tricks were nothing but clouds.

All members of the Ability Guild stayed outside to prevent fish from slipping through the net.
Outside the Carefree League base, there was an invisible energy shield.
This energy shield was very tough against ordinary warriors, but trying to guard Yang Song and Phantom Fire Sword Lord was a foolish dream.
Phantom Fire Sword Lord lightly cut out with two red slashes of sword, and a big hole immediately appeared in the energy shield.
Then, the two flew inside one after another.
"Blue Bolt Sovereign, have you ever heard of the realm above S-rank?" As soon as he entered the energy shield, Phantom Fire Sword Lord slowed down sharply and said suddenly.
The realm above S-rank?
Why did this Phantom Fire Sword Lord ask this question suddenly?
But thinking about it, it was not surprising that the S-rank powerhouse asked such a question, after all, the most powerful warrior in the entire Blue Star was only S-rank.
At the peak of their realm, it was understandable that they had expectations and pursuits for higher realms.
Yang Song shook his head and said, "I haven't heard anything about the legend above S-rank."
But in fact, Yang Song himself was already a powerhouse above S-rank, but there was no need to reveal this.
"But," Yang Song smiled and said, "I am still very interested in that realm."
Phantom Fire Sword Lord also smiled, "This deity is also very interested in it, but it's a pity..."
His smile gradually became a bit bitter, "It's a pity that the years are not forgiving. A certain person was already old when he began to cultivate, and when he was able to cultivate, he became even older. Now, although he has reached S rank, his old body can't be changed. In a while, he may not be able to escape the passage of time."
As he spoke, his figure had completely stopped.
Yang Song also stopped in the air and said, "Yeah, no one can escape the passing of time. Although this old man's face is not very old, his white hair can hardly turn black."
"It's just," Yang Song's topic turned sharply, and said, "living in the world, regardless of this old man's strength, status, or lifespan, he must do things without guilt. Otherwise, even if his body and soul are taken away by time, it is also destined to leave a few lifetime regrets. Don't you think so, Phantom Fire Sword Lord?"
Phantom Fire Sword Lord smiled and turned to look at Yang Song, admiringly said, "Your Excellency is right. It's true that one should never betray one's own heart and should never do things with regret, but this deity feels that what Your Excellency said is missing something."
Yang Song asked suspiciously, "What is it?"
Phantom Fire Sword Lord said, "Although one cannot betray one's own heart, even more so should never do things to have regret later… Only if you are not ashamed of yourself can you live without regrets."
He sighed again, "This deity's time is really running out. It is ridiculous that this deity has a lot of scenery to enjoy in front of him, but he often sighs for his aging body."
He suddenly changed the subject and asked, "Your Excellency, what do you know about the top ten powerhouses that entered the spatial crack years ago?"
Yang Song said, "I would like to hear the details."
Phantom Fire Sword Lord raised his hand to look at the wrinkles on the back of his hand, and then mocked, "What is for the well-being of all mankind? It's nothing but a joke. In the final analysis, they are the same kind of people as this deity, they are only for the sake of living better for a long time."
"But they are different from this deity," Phantom Fire Sword Lord stroked the dry skin on his hand, with an old and sullen tone as he said, "they are younger than me."
"Three Stars Masters, Bright Sun Sovereign, Black Void Sovereign... They all have plenty of time to slowly pursue a longer lifespan, but I can't, my time limit is approaching."
Speaking of this, Phantom Fire Sword Lord's emotions suddenly became agitated, "Blue Bolt Sovereign, you know, there seems to be an hourglass on my head. The sand in this hourglass is my life span. It is already very few to begin with, but it keeps losing every day, it keeps losing..."
"This kind of day that is no different from waiting for death, I really am..."
Phantom Fire Sword Lord panted heavily, and his clenched fists kept trembling, and then, the hot fire attribute aura on his body, accompanied by increasingly fierce sword energy, suddenly exploded!
"Fed up with it!"
Phantom Fire Sword Lord looked ferocious, with sword-like flowing light in his hand, instantly weaving a giant sword energy net, and his goal was directed at Yang Song beside him!

Entangled Fates Book 1 - Quantum Beginnings

The book is now availble on Amazon (includes extra chapters): https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B07W1534R8 Artificial intelligence was nearly mankind’s last invention. Alex must use whatever resources he can to escape from under the thumb of a ruthless corporation, while keeping those he comes to love safe. Chapters will stay up on RRL until Aug 10. It'll go up on Kindle Unlimited after that. How do you get those extra chapters I didn't have planned for RR? If you want them, they'll be in the published book. Book 2 will still make sense without them - I made sure of that. But... isn't $3 a lot for extra chapters? Think of it as tipping me for a good job and you'd also be getting my eternal thanks. If you enjoyed it so much that the idea of missing out a few chapters haunts you, I did my job as an author and made an engaging story. What's in those extra chapters? Resolving a few issues, set up for the cybernetic revolution, a rather intense sex scene with a new partner, revelations of who's really pulling strings, and a bit of set up for book 2. Complaints that people missed out on it when it was published here won't help (sorry!). I posted this for the folks who helped me shape the book, which is you all! (Again, yay!) But... Why! Why not keep it all on RR forever? My editor likes being paid for one. For two, I'd like the ability to get broader readership. If I break even on editor costs, I'll be incredibly happy. What about book 2? Drafts for Book 2 will go up around Sept 10. My draft of Book 2 is done, and it will be handed to the editor once Book 1 is published. Feedback has been even more positive. Beta readers devoured it and wanted more. I'll add a link to Book 2 once it's up on RR. I'm more or less, using you all for Beta Readers, so you get it before it's "canon" and edited. I invite active and meaningful feedback during this process. In return, you get early access to chapters. That does mean that the book content or plot might be adjusted before it gets published as I refine it. Sex Y/N? Yes. I heard the feedback, 90% wanted it explicit. You all will get the "full" experience. Will I dump all of book 2 here? Honestly, I'm not sure yet. At a minimum, it'll be up to the 75% mark as we collect feedback, much like what I did with book 1. It really depends on how good the feedback is and how nice people are. Lots of support + meaningful feedback to make it better = higher likelihood you get all the book. Will be it up here indefinitely? No, it'll probably go up on KU at some point, but I'll make sure there's enough time for a large readership to grab it here. Then we move to book 3 which already is around 60K words already. What about other adventures in the same universe/characters? Yep. Absolutely. Nothing ready to share yet though. I plan to keep those side chapters and more slice of life stories as RR exclusive. Since I'm carving this off in book-sized segments, I'll have to figure out where those disconnected story arcs belong. I'm open to suggestions.

Interface
Welcome to the World-City of Thousel, the sixth iteration of life on the planet. These are the recordings of the people of Thousel. Thousel is believed to be the second longest iteration of life, and the overall most prosperous compared to what we know about the past five iterations. Medicine and technology have all progressed abundantly, and the world itself has been turned into one great city, governed and managed by the Governmental-Company Alliance, or the GCA.These particular recordings concern the discovery of a peculiar machine. When two very different people find themselves bound by the fate of one mysterious bot, life in the World-City begins to change… Interface is a cyberpunk webnovel set in an ecumenopolis world where people evolved with electro-sensory abilities. These senses shape the face of modern technology and life in a world where the three largest corporations run what has effectively become the government. Each of these three companies control various aspects of life in the city, and they all constantly vie for domain and power over one another. The world stands at the precipice of biological, technological, and historical breakthrough. After decades of study into microbiology, archaeology, and geology, it has been discovered that sentient life has lived on the planet multiple times over. These past peoples are referred to as the “prior iterations of life,” and it is believed that five great civilizations were constructed before the rise of the modern world. No one can be sure for certain what caused these peoples’ extinction long ago, and the theories range from simply dying off over time to massive tectonic fractures in the face of the planet. Advanced technology, far more complicated than anything the people possess today, has been uncovered in multiple locations. This has lead scholars to speculate on exactly how long each iteration of life survived and how far they progressed as a society. None of the companies have been able to find a way to make this ancient technology work for their own profit. It is as though they are each missing the final key needed to unlock these centuries old secrets. What could this knowledge reveal about the nature of life across every iteration? What power could it give to the one who wields it?Far from the investigation into the origin of life, two kids unlock a new mystery – one that ties their fates to the discovery of an old, mysterious robot. Suddenly, eyes begin to turn towards them as life in the city of Thousel changes wherever they go…
