《Supreme Grandpa 》Chapter 136: Virus Storage Chamber, Leaving

After making sure that there was nothing else in this room, Yang Song left the room and entered the hall of the Secret Department again.
Then, he walked to the virtual storage of the Zero Green District Base and looked for the information of the boy.
Soon, he found something related to the artificial intelligence of the base and looked through it.
After a while, he also found the information of the boy.
It turned out that a decade ago when the Zero Green District Base was just built, this half-human half-robot boy had already been introduced to the base by the people of the main base.
The boy originally had disastrous cancer and was about to die, but at his final moment, his parents were approached by the people of the Zero Green District Base and asked if they wanted to save the boy, but on the premise that the boy would be sold to them.
The parents agreed and sold their child to the people of the Zero Green District Base.
As Yang Song read through the information, he could not find any information of the parents of the boy at all.
After the boy was taken by the Zero Green District Base, the Zero Green District Base used their black method of saving people from cancers.
They removed the brain and the heart of the boy and implanted the two organs in the body of a robot.
Later, the boy was named "003" by the base.
After reading the information, Yang Song was not sure whether the boy had common sense or human emotions or not. After all, he had been locked in this place for so long and did not have any contact with the outside world. What's more, he was just three years old ten years ago…
He was 13 years old this year, but his robotic body… his robotic body was too small compared with his age.
But speaking of which, this branch of the Zero Green Secret Base turned out to have existed in the White Mountain for ten years. Then, how long had the main base of the Zero Green District Base been in existence?
Anyway, Yang Song's current priority was to quickly explore some more places in this entire place and leave.
At the end of the day, since this was a branch of the main branch, it meant that it was also being monitored every second. Now that 003 had gone into the "sleep mode" and was even stored in Yang Song's storage space, the connection should've been cut off.

Hence, the main base would find that something was wrong sooner or later and they would send the rescue teams over sooner or later.
Even though Yang Song was confident in confronting the people of the Zero Green District Base and escaping away from them, he did not want to confront them head-on and waste his energy just to kill some people and make them wary.
There was still the Virus Storage Chamber that Yang Song had not explored.
The viruses in there were what Zhang Yin had clamored to release to the outside world so that apocalypse would descent to the whole world.
Apocalypse, this was a term that Yang Song had heard many times in his previous life.
There were many forms of possible apocalypse in the world, such as technology failures, nuclear holocaust, natural disasters, meteor apocalypse, plagues, even societal apocalypse could happen.
As for the alien invasion… the abyss was exactly the alien. The abyss was like a cancerous cell of the world, or even a time bomb. If the human race could not stop them completely in the future, the world might become the back garden of the abyssal beasts for sure.
There was also the zombie apocalypse. There were many theories back on the Earth about the zombie apocalypse, but there were also many discoveries that countered the possibility of the zombie itself.
Yang Song did not know if a zombie was real or it could be created, but since Yang Song himself could even transmigrate into this world, it proved that anything in imagination could indeed happen in real life.
And if Zhang Yin was to successfully release those viruses, then the virus-infection apocalyptic world might appear. Countless people, animals, and plants would die and people would've to avoid each other like plague in the future.
By then, the world would be lifeless and would have no sense of life.
But since Yang Song was here, how could he allow it to happen? With the remote control of the Zero Green District Base in his hand, Yang Song soon opened the entrance to the Virus Storage Chamber.
…
The hall was green all around and there were many green and yellow "biological hazard" signs.
Yang Song did not want to admit it, but as soon as he entered this place, even he, a high-level Foundation Building Realm cultivator, felt quite threatened.

There were many rows of glass cabinets of various colors. On each cabinet, there was also an introduction to it.
Soon, Yang Song came to a cabinet and read the information on it.
Supreme Marburg Virus 5.5 – an upgraded version of the normal Marburg Virus, founded and developed by Leng Mo. Effect: extreme hemorrhagic fever, extreme bleeding from the seven orifices, and 5.5-second organ failure. Medium: Anything.
Abyssal Rabies – an upgraded version of normal rabies and a typical virus in the abyss world. Founded and developed by Zhang Yin. Effect: Destroys the brain in 11 hours. Medium: Anything.
Morning Star – founded and developed by Leng Mo. Effect: Blends with the moisture in the air, destroys lungs in 14 hours. Medium: Air and water.
…
As Yang Song read through everything, his forehead became wet with sweat more and more.
Each kind of viruses was extremely lethal and fast in infection. A cabinet could be picked out randomly and released to the outside world and the world would end up in extreme chaos and disaster.
Even if one was a martial artist, it was not helpful at all. Because these viruses were developed exactly to counter martial artists.
Yang Song had to admire the brain of Zhang Yin, Doctor Leng, and other scientists that they could find and develop such sinister things.
But looking at these cabinets again, Yang Song could only sigh in depression. He… did not know how to destroy these cabinets at all.
He also thought of using fire to destroy them, but with his current cultivation base…
When he looked at the countless rows of cabinets, Yang Song shook his head slightly.
If he wanted to use the Fire Ball Talisman to destroy them, it was indeed not a bad idea. However, he did not have so many Fire Ball Talismans.
Second, if he wanted to destroy a certain virus, he had to release that virus out from its cabinet. Then, he had to confront it by coating his entire body with his True Energy in order to avoid infection.
And third, Yang Song did not have enough True Energy to spend and contend with these viruses.
The only thing he could do was to store some of the top threatening viruses in his storage space and leave the weaker ones here. Then, when his cultivation base reached a high level in the future, he would come back and destroy every dangerous thing in this place.
With Yang Song's great ability to read things and plus his Spiritual Sense, it did not take long to finish inspecting all the cabinets in the Virus Storage Chamber.
Fortunately, although there were many cabinets in the hall, there were only 44 types of viruses.
But here came another problem. Yang Song's storage could not accommodate the top 20 viruses at all. He could only store 10 cabinets of viruses at most with the current capacity.
This had to do with the many things that Yang Song had stored in his storage space previously.
So Yang Song could only dejectedly store 10 cabinets.
With this, Yang Song walked to the gate of the Virus Storage Chamber and was about to leave.
"Di, di, di…"
Then, without warning, the white light of the entire Zero Green District Base turned red and alarming sounds resounded in every department.
The various doors started to close tightly and security cameras started to pop out from the wall.
"Here they come," seeing this, Yang Song was not worried the slightest.
He had expected that the people from the main base would come, but he did not expect that they would come at this moment.
Yang Song casually walked to the door leading to the elevator and stood in front of the door.
Then, the Blue Bolt Sword appeared in his hand and he slashed it at the door easily.
Boom!
The door was cut open like tofu and fell to the ground, making a rumbling sound.
But after the door was opened, loud and neat sounds of footsteps came from afar.
When Yang Song entered the elevator and the door of the elevator closed, he caught a glimpse of many rows of robots.
Swoosh!
But a pity before those robots could do anything, the elevator had already operated and made its way to the surface of the ground.

Saga of Fallen Kings, Book I: The Revenant Prince
The Philosopher King once conquered the known world, his power seemingly unlimited and his armies inexhaustible. Since that time his might has slowly unravelled, and his once steadfast empire has begun to crack, splinter and devour itself. In the isolated Southern Realms, where even magic has abandoned them, none of that matters. For years it has been filled with warring kingdoms, where as many kings die to the blade as to old age, and constant battles tear apart the land. When one such kingdom invades its old enemy, the King and his heir, Prince Caden, are killed. Unable to accept the loss of his family Prince Arian is broken, and when the Philosopher King stretches out his hand in aid, Arian takes it without a second thought. When Caden wakes from death, he's different. His eyes and soul have changed, and he finds a world filled with friends who no longer trust he's even human. Suddenly thrust onto the throne and indebted to the Philosopher King, Caden has no choice but to keep going - he must finish what his father started, and try to survive the machinations of the figure who now owns his fealty. Meanwhile something beyond death stirs for him, desiring nothing more than to drag him back into its embrace. Author's Note: This story used to be known as "A King of his Own", but after some consideration I have decided to rebrand it. The first reason is that I was growing increasingly dissatisfied with the title. The second is that I have come increasingly to view this story as a 'saga' containing multiple 'books' rather than one long, continuous publication, and as I did so I realized that as I was quickly getting to a point in the story where I wanted the first 'book' to end. This doesn't mean I'm going back on the things I said below - they're just going to continue in the next book of the Saga of Fallen Kings. :) Also, be aware that I do plan to edit this at some point. Though I take care to squash out any obvious errors when I proof-read, and do simple edits in that process, at some point I'm almost certainly going to do large edits that might significantly change parts of the story. Old author's notes: This started as a completely random writing session. There was no purpose or direction, but as I kept typing an entire world began to form in my mind that I knew I had to write about. My plan is to turn this story into a veritable medieval fantasy epic that spans an entire world, follows multiple character and storylines, and takes place over many years. The story has quite a grounded, almost 'realistic' start, but many more fantastical elements will be introduced, expanded upon and become central to the narrative. I have ideas for this story that make me genuinely excited and I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy writing it, and join me on what will hopefully become a truly massive fantasy epic. If you do enjoy this story please consider following, rating and leaving a review. I'm also happy to answer any questions or comments you have. The Exodus Project
This is the original version of Origin before I rewrote it. It's much more simpler, some names and personalities are a little different. THere's nowhere near as much back story or character development/interaction. But the story is essentially at the end of book one. I wrote this 15 odd years ago, and with a bit of polish it doesn't look too bad. The story like Origin is about a group of college students who find a ship that is the last remnant of an ancient human space faring civilisation, they fix her up and go back into space. Along they way they'll meet alot of aliens, religious fundamentalists and conmen.
