《Supreme Grandpa 》Chapter 128: The White Fog

Yang Song spread out his Spiritual Sense and tried to detect the surroundings. However, within the 170 meters' radius, there was nothing that caught Yang Song's attention.
Yang Song did not intend to linger around here long, after a moment, he sped up and went to the further depth of the forest.
The atmosphere and scenery began to change. The green trees began to turn dark green, and the air began to turn colder and colder.
Before long, Yang Song came to a place where trees were tens of meters long, and the branches of those trees were so dense that only a tiny bit of moonlight could penetrate it.
But with Yang Song's current cultivation, it was not a problem to see everything over 100 meters ahead with his eyes alone.
It was not known how long Yang Song had flown, but just as he was about to increase his speed more, he detected something in his Spiritual Sense.
It was a mass of white fog, and it was so thick and murky that even Yang Song found it a bit difficult to see past the fog.
With a thought, Yang Song went in the direction of the white fog without delay. However, when he really arrived before the white fog, Yang Song's body shuddered suddenly.
"Not good!"
He immediately took out several Fire Ball Talismans and threw them at the white fog. Several balls of fire with each ball two times bigger than the basketball burst out in midair and dashed towards the white fog.
"Shriek, shriek…"
The low-pitched cry of insects immediately resounded out and Yang Song backed away several meters.
Then, as if afraid of fire, the flying white fog suddenly halted its advancement and lingered around.
"What are these?" Yang Song looked at the white fog ahead and muttered. To be more precise, it was not a mass of white fog, but it was actually a monstrous mass of tiny white insects.
Yang Song instantly opened his Eyes of Insight and looked at one of the white insects.
Species: Flying Skull Ant
Combat Power: Tier 1 Soldier
Talent: extreme gnawing (99), teamwork (99), scent detecting (70), comprehension (3), wisdom (1)
"This…" Seeing the ridiculous attribute of this ant, Yang Song was stupefied secretly. The three talents in the front were so scary.

As Yang Song looked at other Flying Skull Ants, he found an even more frightening thing. These Flying Skull Ants seemed to have exactly the same Combat Power and talents. It was as if they were clones of each other.
Fortunately, their comprehension and wisdom were extremely low. Otherwise, Yang Song was afraid that this country would've been dominated by this frightening species long ago.
But even so, the current level of danger of this Flying Skull Ant was extremely daunting. Every single Flying Skull Ant was a Tier 1 Soldier. In this mass of Flying Skull Ants, how many Flying Skull Ants there were exactly? Millions? Or tens of millions of them?
If it was so, then wouldn't there be tens of millions of Tier 1 Soldier insects? If these Flying Skull Ants were an army of humans, how terrifying would the strength be? But Yang Song felt that the tiny tens of millions of Flying Skull Ants were scarier.
Last but not least, it was worth mentioning that if looked closely, each Flying Skull Ant actually had a face no different from that of a skull. This was the symbol of death, so the name Flying Skull Ant was really suitable.
Xiao Lang, Xiao Laoxu, and Xiao Laofei were also watching these tiny insects with their heads popped out slightly. With the instinct of the beast, these three little guys sensed the extreme threat from these small insects.
Even if Xiao Laofei and Xiao Lang were General rank beasts, they still felt quite scared when looking at the white fog in the front. Even they were afraid that they would still be reduced to only a frame of skeletons if they were to go in.
"So this is the reason why there are no animals in the vicinity…" Yang Song used his Spiritual Sense and found that there were no other wild animals or even insects presented in the surrounding.
After the heat left by the fireballs exhausted, those white Flying Skull Ants grouped up together densely again and rushed towards Yang Song.
Seeing this, Yang Song immediately threw out several gallons of gasoline that he had just taken out from the storage space towards the swarm of Flying Skull Ants. After that, he shot out his True Energy at the gallons of gasoline and let the gallons of gasoline exploded.

Before some part of the gasoline could fall to the ground, Yang Song used his True Energy to control them to float upward again and let it spread among the swarm of Flying Skull Ants.
"But even if there are tens of millions of you guys, with me alone is enough to deal with you guys!"
Having declared that, Yang Song took out another Fire Ball Talisman and slammed it at the group of Flying Skull Ants.
As soon as a spark of fire lit up, it connected with those Flying Skull Ants in a wink. More fire suddenly emitted and connected with those flying ants. Soon, the flame spread among the Flying Skull Ants like wild fire and burned a large number of them to death.
As it all burned together, it looked like a big lump of fire floating in the air.
The low shrieking sound of insects sprung up in unison. As the breeze flew by, only dust-like ashes were left, and only a pitiful number of Flying Skull Ants survived this catastrophe.
As if their natural instinct detected danger, those remaining Flying Skull Ants immediately turned around and tried to escape.
But how could Yang Song let this mass-breeding type of insect go? If they escaped far away and secretly bred among themselves again, who knew how many of them would be born in the future?
So Yang Song simply flew over with the Blue Bolt Sword and used his True Energy to kill them easily.
After solving this, Yang Song continued to fly forward. Several minutes later, his Spiritual Sense detected something again.
Seeing what it was inside his Spiritual Sense, Yang Song finally found the answer to the previous questions.
Yang Song flew over to that place abruptly.
They were big pieces of snake skeleton. On the skeleton, there were also several Flying Skull Ants, and they seemed to be gnawing on it. But they were killed by Yang Song without delay.
Looking at the size of the piece of the snake skeleton and based on what Xiao Laoxu and Xie Tong had said, this skeleton should be the skeleton of the giant snake that was killed by the man who tried to murder Xiao Laoxu.
Yang Song had to admire the ability of the Flying Skull Ants again. The giant snake should be a Tier 9 Soldier mutated beast, so its bone must be very sturdy and hard. However, the Tier 1 Soldier Flying Skull Ants could still gnaw on it easily.
Yang Song then ignored the few pieces of the snake skeletons and looked at several items such as flashlights, mobile phones, weapons, shovels, and other gadgets and tools including backpacks that were scattered on the ground.
"These items should belong to that group of young people previously," Yang Song said thoughtfully.
With a wave of his hand, those things were collected into the storage space. Afterward, Yang Song extended out his Spiritual Sense again and soon found the entrance of a cave.
When Yang Song arrived at the entrance of the cave, he smelled the odor of the corpse immediately.
Inside the cave, there were many pieces of various kinds of skeletons including human skeletons. On some parts of some skeletons, many Flying Skull Ants could be seen. But the amount was far smaller compared to the ones outside.
Yang Song took out several gallons of gasoline again and poured them all over the place. Then, he lighted up a match, threw it to the ground casually, and quickly left the cave.
The fire burned intensely as heat shot out from the only entrance of the cave. Yang Song blocked the heat with his True Energy and watched it burn for a while. Dozens of minutes later, a scorching smell floated out along with the white smoke.
Yang Song hurried found a big stone and covered the entrance of the cave tightly, preventing the smoke from flying out in case it floated upward and alarmed some people or something unexpectedly.
…
The breeze was faint, the air was chilly, and Yang Song still had not found the Spirit Crystal mine yet after so long.
His Spiritual Sense was still spreading all the time, and his True Energy began to decrease gradually.
After a while, Yang Song took out his phone and looked at the time.
"Unexpectedly, it's already over 12 o'clock."
When he first came, it was around 5 in the evening, but eight hours passed in a flash. After another sigh, Yang Song found a relatively big tree and stayed the wide branch of the tree to restore his True Energy.

A-Live AI
The year is 2247. For almost two hundred years Sentient AI research has been banned. Everyone knew this, and yet no one has ever given up on finding the perfect setup for it. Restricted AI are rare, but possible to get ahold of if you have the money and the clout to get through the law for it. Especially when it deals with the military. Alfred Homis is an engineer and has spent the last three years working for the United Terran Military's Research and Exploration Department. Specifically to help build a 'shackled' AI who's prime directive was to explore potentially habitable worlds. Worlds that are far cheaper to colonize and add to the United Terran Directorate's fold than terraforming. During the AI's maiden voyage things go horribly wrong, taking Alfred Homis along for the ride. Thrown into a parallel universe where the laws of physics are just a little messed up, Alfred finds himself trapped inside the very machine he'd helped to build. Add magic, hostile fantasy creatures, and two different pantheons of 'Gods' to the mix and things get even more complicated. Oh, and an invasion between universes to boot. But that's just all in a days work though for Alfred, the AI Lord. Authors Note: Hi guys! Long time no see. And yes, I know that's all on me. But I blame life for that. Anyway, this is my new work, and I hope you guys enjoy it! The chapters are a little shorter than I'd previously posted in my other stories, but I cannot say that I have the same amount of time or energy to write them like that anymore. Sorry about that. Still, some warnings: There is cursing in this story. I am not going to edit it out. There will be sexual content later. Blood, gore and cruel depictions are all planned. If that isn't your thing, I'd suggest you turn back now. There is also my dry, and often not-so-funny sense of humor. And oh, it's all in first person gain. Haha. I just tend to write better that way. If none of that bothers you, then enjoy the read! Feel free to comment, point out mistakes, or make suggestions! Reviews are nice too, but please lay off the criticism until the story gets good and going. Thank you. Note 1: Some edits to the synopsis.
