《Supreme Grandpa 》Chapter 115: The White Dragon Temple

Yang Song used his True Energy to draw a few Corpse Melting Talismans and Cleansing Talismans, which were basic rank talismans, and cleaned up all the corpses as well as their scattered blood.
For those evil monks, Yang Song had no pity for them. From the look of it, they should've done this kind of thing frequently.
Actually, when Xuan Kong first approached him, Yang Song knew that the old monk did not have a good intention already. He was just playing with him along the way.
First of all, there was a slight smell of corpses on Xuan Kong's body. This kind of smell couldn't be washed off by water or soap alone, because it had already penetrated into his body.
Second, when Xuan Kong stomped his Zen staff to block the path of the young man before, Yang Song caught a glimpse of pale and very fine powder that came out of the Zen staff. The powder was very light green in color, almost blended with the atmosphere, it was also scentless and hard to catch unless one was a martial artist.
Then, Xuan Kong deliberately spent time blabbering nonstop in order to let the green powder take effect in the young man's body.
But among all things, there was one thing that Yang Song did not understand. When Yang Song inspected Xuan Kong's natural attribute, there was a strange talent called "dual personality". What was the matter with it?
Yang Song, of course, understood what 'dual personality' meant, but he did not know how it worked on Xuan Kong.
Yang Song felt that this matter must be investigated.
Thinking of this, Yang Song thoughtfully looked in a certain direction that led deep into the forest.
With a step forward, Yang Song's appearance changed again and he turned into a man in his thirties.
Then he left the place and walked in that direction.
…
Twenty minutes later, a dilapidated temple with a white wall and a red gate came into Yang Song's view.
The gate had big rusty beads embedded on the surface neatly. The red paint on the big doors had already become pale. Right above the gate, a red plaque with several dragon carvings and words on it could be seen, and it read "White Dragon Temple".
Yang Song flicked his fingers slightly, a string of True Energy ran out of Yang Song and rush to hit the big ancient-looking doors aggressively.

Boom!
The big doors opened forcefully, bringing a wave of wind and lifting up specks of dust and pieces of the withered leaf inside.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh…
Without warning, several unusually big arrows made entirely of steel flew out from the inside and dashed straight towards Yang Song at an incredible speed.
Yang Song was not taken aback by this, he just waved his hands casually and slapped the several big arrows away easily.
Yang Song took a step forward and entered the White Dragon Temple.
Unsurprisingly, there were no people inside this old temple.
Looking around, Yang Song spotted a line of rope that connected to the big doors. The rope should be the thing that triggered the arrows to shoot out.
After walking around for a while, Yang Song found that although this White Dragon Temple was not big, all the things that a Buddhist temple should have were all presented inside.
All the important halls were also built, such as the Hall of Heavenly Kings, where sculptures of Four Heavenly Kings stood on the two sides with two in a group and Maitreya laid in the middle altar, which was the first main hall.
Next followed the Grand Hall where the sculpture of Sakyamuni sat. The Bodhisattva Hall worshipped the main Bodhisattva of a temple, the enlightened being who sought to enlighten others, which was located behind.
Next was the lecture hall, the place where Buddhist doctrines were delivered. Not far from that was the Sutra Depository, where Buddhist books, sutras and scriptures were stored.
Refectories, monks' rooms, and other attached architecture were distributed along the central axis. Buddhism advocated that people acted with leniency. An area where captive animals were freed to show the charity of human souls and to accumulate merit for the afterlife was also presented in here.
Overall, in Yang Song's view, this temple was no different from the Buddhist temple he had seen back on Earth.
Soon, Yang Song came to the abbot's big room where only the abbot alone lived inside.
Standing in front of the room, Yang Song frowned slightly. In front of the room, it looked normal and even very peaceful. However, a disgusting and wicked smell could not escape Yang Song's nose at all.
Yang Song moved his finger slightly and shot out the True Energy to open the door.

Bang!
As soon as the doors were opened, the unbearable smell became even stronger, rushing into Yang Song's nostrils.
This abbot's room's layout was quite strange. The entrance of the room itself was built to face no sun, so it made the atmosphere inside very gloomy and no sunlight could go in. There were even several trees planted in the front, adding an even gloomier taste to it.
Yang Song drew a Light Talisman quickly and threw it into the room. The gloomy room quickly became bright and everything was revealed.
It was a simple room with a yellow mat for a monk to meditate, a woolen blanket, and a light covering as well as a pillow. There was no bed but there was a bookshelf and a short table.
However, the sleeping and meditating area including the bookshelf and the table only occupied a bit of space inside this big room.
The bookshelf was placed to face the entrance, and behind the bookshelf, it was a thick-looking stone wall.
Even a fool could guess that this room was too unusual for it to have a wall and only a bit of space was seen in front of the wall.
Yang Song walked in and came to the wall directly.
"It should be on the other side."
Yang Song muttered at touched the wall here and there, trying to find the secret mechanism that triggered this wall to open. Yang Song could blast this wall directly but that would be a bit unwise.
After touching the wall all over, Yang Song still could not find a way to open this wall.
Yang Song was absolutely sure that this wall could be opened, and it was not just a bluff.
After looking around for a while, Yang Song finally rested his gaze on the bookshelf. This book shelf only had a few dusty books and several items on it. Then, Yang Song pushed and pulled everything on the bookshelf.
After a while, Yang Song had to sigh and praise the builder of this place in his heart. But there was also an irritated feeling in Yang Song's heart, hence making him go all out and searched this room entirely, even the ceiling was not spared.
Over twenty minutes later, Yang Song stood in front of the bookshelf and sighed in defeat.
"Which motherfucker built this place?" He could not help but curse frustratingly. "Well, let's just blast this shitty wall open. I don't believe that with my strength, I cannot even crack this secret place down."
Yang Song took a few steps back and was about to mobilize his True Energy to blast the wall.
"Click!"
Suddenly, there was a click sound. Yang Song looked down and found that his foot sunk down slightly and stepped on something that had the yellow covered on.
Feeling surprised, Yang Song kicked the mat away and saw that a square slab of the floor had sunk down slightly.
Yang Song bent down and pressed the slab of the floor down even more. That slab of floor continued to go down for a few seconds before it hit something at the bottom and made another clicking sound.
Rumble…
There was a gentle rumbling sound and a piece of big rectangular stone that blended itself with the wall suddenly fell down slowly.
When the stone fell down, Yang Song walked over and looked at the thickness of the wall. To his surprise, this wall was actually not made of stone entirely, because on the other side of the wall, it was plated with a wall of steel and its thickness was half an index finger.
Yang Song guessed that it was the reason why it did not make much sound.
But what made Yang Song frowned the most was that the gross smell became even stronger than before. If an ordinary person or even a low-level martial artist was here, perhaps he would not smell anything strange.
But for a cultivator like Yang Song, this kind of smell was even more disgusting than the smell of shit. With Yang Song's high-level cultivation base, he could even notice a wicked aura that drifted along with the smell.
Before going in, Yang Song decided to draw several useful talismans such as Light Talisman, Fire Ball Talisman, Lesser Lightning Talisman, Speed Talisman, and so on. Because Yang Song had a hunch that the things inside the dark side of this room would stun him for sure.

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
