《Supreme Grandpa 》Chapter 78: Incident

Tong City, Hu Feifei's villa.
Currently, Hu Feifei was talking with her grandfather via the phone.
"Yes, grandpa. I've already bought it. I disguised myself as a guy and bought a box of Great Energy Pills and a box of Spirit Energy Pills," Hu Feifei glanced at two unique and luxurious-looking boxes not far away from her and said.
"Good. You can try the Spirit Energy Pill first. When I'm done with my missions here, I will go there and try the so-called Great Energy Pill," Hu Feifei's grandpa replied. "By the way, how is your mission going?"
"It's very easy. I have already planted the special bombs in the target's cars. In fifteen minutes, all the bombs will explode and the three cars will burst. By then, my mission will be completed," Hu Feifei got up and walked to the balcony.
"That's good. After you complete your mission, you can just relax in Tong City. Right, did you notice any abnormality in the Yang Family's old man?"
"I haven't had the chance to get close to him yet, so it's hard to tell."
"I see. Just do it slowly and don't let your identity exposed."
"Don't worry, grandpa. I know what to do."
After hanging up the phone, Hu Feifei walked back into the room and destroyed the phone along with its sim card. Then, she walked to the desk near her bed and took out a key to unlock the drawer at the bottom.
Inside the drawer, there was a bunch of brand new phones and brand new sim cards.
Hu Feifei picked a phone and a sim card casually, after that, she closed the drawer calmly.
…
At this moment, inside Wu Yonggui's car.
"Big brother…" the fat man looked at Wu Yonggui and said with a strange expression, "why do I feel so uneasy suddenly?"
"Are you carsick?" Wu Yonggui looked at his younger brother and ridiculed him, "You are a big man, aren't you ashamed of yourself?"
"No, I'm not carsick. But I have a bad premonition, somehow. I feel restless all over my body. How do I describe this… in other words, this~"
"Boom!"
However, before Wu Yonggui's younger brother could finish his words, a loud explosion rang out. Wu Yonggui and his younger brother only felt extremely hellish pain for one second before they lost their consciousness.
The first car to explode was Wu Yonggui's car. Right after Wu Yonggui's car burst into pieces, the other two cars also followed suit.
"Boom! Boom!"
Two loud 'bangs' resounded throughout the whole street. The street was quite vacant, but it was unfortunate that another car came near the three black cars and was affected badly.

In the vicinity of the three black cars of Wu Yonggui, pieces of human meat and dark-crimson blood could be seen scattered.
The other people who stepped on their brakes timely immediately came out of their respective vehicles and dialed the emergency number immediately.
Raging fire was burning the three black sedan cars, the people around could only stay away from it.
From the sound of the explosion alone, it was enough to make people guess that the people inside must be dead for sure.
Before long, the loud sound of siren could be heard. Two fire trucks and a few ambulances darted over in a hurry.
…
More than twenty minutes later, the burning fire of the three cars subsided completely and fortunately, the owner of the car that was affected by the explosion didn't receive any heavy injury, and he was already taken to the hospital over ten minutes ago.
At this time, police and a few reporters had already arrived and immediately took the pictures of the incident.
The three cars were burned black like charcoals, a total of nine black and unrecognizable corpses lay inside the three cars.
The incident was too tragic and unbearable for people to watch. Coupled with the human meat and some unwashed blood that scattered near that, many people felt nauseous as they turned around and left the scene.
Of course, there were also bold people who took out their mobile phones and took photos of this gruesome scene as their memento.
…
A few hours later.
A shocking headline came out on TV and the internet.
"Breaking News: Nine Killed in a Car Explosion on No. 6 Martial Road!"
"At 12:49 PM, three black sedan cars exploded and killed nine people. This incident happened on No. 6 Martial Road and a few kilometers away from Golden Bird Hotel. Among the nine victims, six people are members of Wu Pharmaceutical and the other three are drivers."
"The cause of the explosion is suspected to be a bomb, and according to the authority, this incident is likely to be an assassination. Currently, the authority is trying hard to find the suspects…"
A while later, Yang Song turned off his laptop and stood up.
"Wu Yonggui… is dead?" Yang Song took a breath.
"This old man hasn't had enough fun with you yet, but you're already dead? What an unlucky fellow!"
Yang Song shook his head slightly.
Although that guy was quite annoying and hateful, Yang Song had not hated him to the point of wishing him dead yet. What's more, he planned to use him as a stepping stone.
But he died suddenly.

"However, he and the other five members of the Wu Family died right after they left the Great Energy Pills and Spirit Energy Pills launch event. This incident might leave an unfavorable impact on the Yang Family."
"Many people know that the Yang Family and the Wu Family are on bad terms with each other. That Wu Family is also currently attacking me on the internet vigorously… Well, if nothing happens, the police will arrive at the Yang Family's door soon…"
"Ring, ring…"
Suddenly, Yang Song's mobile phone rang, and it woke Yang Song up from his thoughts.
"Father, did you see the news?"
It was Yang Haonan's voice.
"Well, I saw it. What do you think?" Yang Song said.
"Although our opponent will be eliminated in this way, this is actually not a good thing at all. I'm afraid our Yang Family will be implicated in this matter," Yang Haonan said with worries.
"That's not wrong. However, we are not the culprit behind this, so what's there to be afraid of?" Yang Song answered.
"That's also true. However, if the Wu Family can't find the real culprit behind it, I have a hunch that they will forge a piece of fake evidence and throw the blame on our heads. No matter which angle we look from, this incident seems more or less inseparable from our family."
Yang Haonan's voice revealed anxiety and a heavy mood.
"You don't have to worry. An upright soldier is not afraid of evil spirits. Since we're not the ones who did it, what's there to be afraid of? And our Yang Family is not a young duck either."
Yang Song reassured Yang Haonan calmly.
Hearing this, Yang Haonan unexpectedly felt a little better, and he sighed, "Well, father, I understand."
Then, the call ended.
But a few minutes later, Yang Song's phone rang again and the caller this time was Qian Tingduo.
"Elder Yang, you have already seen the news, right?"
"Yeah, this old man has seen it."
"I see. I know that this matter has nothing to do with you, but from the look of it, troubles will surely fly over to your Yang Family."
Yang Song chuckled and said, "Thanks for your worries, however, this old man has a way to deal with it."
"Got it. But if Elder Yang needs my help, just give me a call, I will do my best to help you. It just so happens that I haven't thanked you for allowing me to regain my energy back yet."
"No worries, no worries. You can also call me if you need more pills."
After that, Yang Song hung up the phone, walked to his futon, and sat down cross-legged.
…
Martial City, Wu Family's manor.
Bang!
A loud came out and a thick wooden table cracked.
An old man with white hair and a black suit could be seen sitting on a luxurious chair. He was Wu Dahai, the old patriarch of the Wu Family, and was the one who slapped the table earlier. A deep palm imprint was left on the table.
About ten main members of the Wu Family were standing near Wu Dahai. All of them were currently lowering their heads and afraid to even breathe loudly.
Cold sweats broke out on their foreheads one by one.
"Damn it! Who killed Yonggui?!"
After a few more seconds of silence, Wu Dahai yelled in extreme anger.
A while later, Wu Dahai calmed down and took a deep breath. Then, he looked at a man with glasses who was standing beside him and asked, "Did you investigate it clearly?"
"Patriarch, I have looked into it, but I found no important clue that relates to the culprit behind. However, the bomb that caused the death of Young Master isn't an ordinary bomb, but a special type of bomb that contained the rare Star Burning Sand that can only be found in the abyss."
"Star Burning Sand? No wonder that such a small baby fist-sized bomb could destroy the entire car."
Star Burning Sand was a type of rare and fine green sand that could only be found in the abyss. This sand had an unusually strong explosive reaction to fire.
"The person who has the ability to use such a dangerous thing to infuse in the bomb must be a menacing weapon expert."
The man near Wu Dahai touched his glassed a little and continued.
"But who have we offended lately? I had only been in seclusion all the time a while ago. Could it be my old enemy? But that's impossible, all of them are much weaker than me. If they dare to do anything to the Wu Family, they will have to bear my wrath… not to mention, those guys are in their dying years too…"
"Patriarch, don't forget that the incident happened when Young Master left the Northern Wing Building where the Yang Family's product launch event took place. From the investigation, remnants of pills were also found. It seems like the Young Master bought the pills from the Yang Family."
Wu Dahai was stunned for a moment before he thought of something, "Then, could it be that it was the Yang Family's old man who operated everything from behind?"

The Court of Souls?
Author's Comment: I was asked about reading my work on other sites. The answer is simple: Currently I am not active in any other networks than royalroadl.com. Only here, I correct mistakes and errors. If you read it anywhere else and have to pay for it, or have to deal with an annoying amount of advertisement, You Are Being Betrayed. You would do good if you make other people in that network aware of it. This is a free project of mine for the purpose of having fun. And if people try to make money with it you shouldn't bother visiting their website. The only one whom I actually allowed to have my work on his website is Armaell who invested the time to compile them into pdf. (http://armaell-library.net/author/andur) ——————————————————————————————— Reading Order of the Multiverse-Books ——————————————————————————————— What do we talk about tonight? ~“How about a story?”~ Fine by me. Which story? Hopefully a good one. ~“There was once a lonely child in a world filled with myths, gods and demons. Only power counted there and the weak were worse than cattle. A world where survival of the fittest ruled.”~ Was it strong then? ~“No, but the child had a power. One that made him stand between light and darkness. Nothing could escape him, so he was shunned by his people.”~ What did he do? Did he fight his fate? Did he hide his power? What was it? ~“Oh, he fought. He fought a lot. And no thing could escape his power. It was something that everyone had to live with.”~ So he became a hero and changed the world? ~“…”~ Tell me. ~“Nooo, that's not how the story goes. This isn't a story of a noble man, doing good amidst a sea of monsters. This is a story of a demon who was... kinder than the rest.”~ A kind demon? How boring. ~“I think it would be better if I tell the story, so you can judge for yourself.”~ So tell the story!

A World Forgotten
***This story will contain lite-litrpg elements, mainly character pages and a town page. There will also be settlement building and adventuring, missteps and achievements. But one thing it definitely won’t have is a harem. Nor will it have an overpowered MC. Contains mild cursing.*** ***feel free to critique my writing and offer input. This is my first venture into writing. I've always enjoyed litrpg/gamelit books. I feel like I write how I talk, so it may be a little different. You won't hurt my feelings if you see something wrong or out of place! *** ***What follows is a condensed part of chapter 1. Enjoy!*** Drew Cooper is thrust into a new, unfamiliar world. Waking up in his sweats and t-shirt near what seems to be a forgotten path through some woods, he struggles coming to terms that he's no longer in his apartment. As he tries to cope with his new reality, he hears a horse coming down the path. He hides behind a nearby tree dreading what may happen next. As the horse approaches, he sees a man walking next to it. The horse is burdened with packs and gear. When the man nears, Drew nearly panics. He has a large sword strapped to his waist, obviously a fighter. He continues to hide as the man slowly passes only for the man to stop a dozen meters past his hiding spot. "You may as well come out, ya know. You weren't as well hidden as you thought," the man stated matter-of-factly, letting the horse’s reins go and putting his hand on the hilt of his sword. Slowly and scared for his life, Drew raised up and walked from behind the tree. "I-I'm sorry. I wasn't planning on attacking you. I-I don't know where I am. I heard your horse and hid. I didn't know what you'd do if you saw me. I'm sorry," he nervously blurted out. A minute passed. Then two. The man seemed interested with Drew and stepped closer, eyes squinting as if trying to see something. "What's that on your shirt? Is that. What is that? Is that, Pac-man?" The man was visibly shaken while pointing at me. Looking down at his t-shirt nervously, "Yea. Yea. I woke up here a few hours ago I think. 3 maybe 4 hours. I’ve just been sitting here. Where am I? What's going on?" Drew asked. "That's not important right now," the man replied. " What's important is where you're from. What year is it?" "What year? April something 2020. Why? What's going on?" Drew continued now worried. The man was taken aback. After a few moments, he seemed to calm himself some. The man sighed and looked at Drew in earnest. "Well, I've got good news and bad news for ya. Bad news is you're not on Earth anymore. Good news is you happened to run into me and not someone else. You’re either really lucky, or it’s fate we met in these woods, and I don’t believe in luck." The man continued to walk towards Drew while talking and put out his hand. "I'm John Mitchell from St. Louis or thereabouts. You’ve got nothing to be scared of by me. Walk with me and let’s talk."
