"Offer me something else that isn't related to your bodies or any sexual stuff. In case you have misunderstood me, but I am not in any way a perverted or lecherous person, not even the slightest bit," Leo clarified things.
"That..." Eme Clarity and Faye scratched their cheeks in embarrassment. Indeed, they have misunderstood Guild Leader Loki for a man who thinks mostly with his lower head than his actual head. Turns out that he actually wasn't.
"It seems like you have truly misunderstood me," Leo shook his head out of helplessness. Just like what he had expected, Eme Clarity and Faye thought that he was a perverted and lecherous man. Though they can't be blamed for that, especially considering the case that he has six wives.
"Sorry..."
"It's alright,"
With that being cleared, Leo quickly change the topic, "Anyways, offer me something else, something practical and can be used by either my Mischievous Lion Guild or me. Otherwise, I won't consider letting the both of you go,"
Instantly, Eme Clarity and Faye started pondering on what they should offer Guild Leader Loki in exchange for letting them free. But, no matter how much they think, they just can't come up with an offer. What could they even offer him when he in fact already has almost everything that they could possibly think about?
They have already mentioned it earlier ago, Guild Leader Loki has both riches and power, and things that almost everyone living in the Emerald Tree Kingdom would hope to have. As such, there's no way that someone like them could offer Guild Leader Loki something that he could be satisfied with. Unless they are the Patriarch and Guild Leader. Only they have the right to have an equal transaction with Guild Leader Loki.

Seeing that Eme Clarity and Faye were still unable to give any response even after a few minutes had passed, Leo decided, "I guess you both are unable to offer me anything. How about we ask your Patriarch and Guild Leader instead?"
"Is that even possible?" Eme Clarity asked dubiously.
"For other? Then of course, that is impossible. But for us," Leo said as he pointed at Elmont.
"Oh, I understand!" Faye nodded her head in understanding. She then asked, "So, when do we ask my Guild Leader?"
Contrary to Faye, though, Eme Clarity was feeling really hesitant. She muttered softly, "About that..."
"I understand your position, so why don't we just swear an Oath then? Of course, not with you, but rather to the person who brought you all here. There should be a guardian or an Elder with you, right?" Leo expresses his understanding.
Needless to say, the Patriarch of the Clarity Noble Household should be preoccupied with dealing against the Naughty Elves organization at this very moment.
In that case, it is practically impossible to get the Patriarch of the Clarity Noble Household here just to have a transaction with him when the former is so busy saving his own territory from the Naughty Elves organization. After all, once his territory is destroyed, almost everything he has would disappear along with it as well.
Fortunately for Eme Clarity, there is still another way for her to continue with the transaction.
Being a part of a Noble Household himself, he naturally knows a lot of stuff on how they usually operate things. One of that is that no Noble Households would send their team to participate in such an important event like the Emerald Elven Battle Competition without anyone strong enough to protect all of them from any sort of harm. Especially with how intense the Emerald Elven Battle Competition is, as there is no doubt that a lot of dark things are going to happen behind the curtains, like killing an important member of the team to cause them a lot of trouble.

"Wait! Don't tell me..." Eme Clarity looked at Guild Leader Loki with wide eyes.
"Let's not talk about it. The only important thing is we are both on the same side," Leo quickly motioned his hand to make Eme Clarity shut up.
Hearing Guild Leader Loki's words, Eme Clarity suddenly thought of an idea, "Since we are on the same side, then how about giving me an exception and let me off for free?"
With a chuckle, Leo replied, "Being on the same side is a different story to our current situation right now. So, there is no special treatment. You have to pay up, or else I'll choose you to be my target. By then, I hope you'll forgive me for eliminating you in this round of the Emerald Elven Battle Competition,"
"Then how about the two of us?" Emir can't help interjecting.
"Yeah, can we also buy our way out like Eme Clarity and Faye?" Dominic asked curiously.
"I am afraid that the two of you are not going anywhere until I am done with my transaction with them," Leo shook his head dismissively before quickly adding, "And by the way, if you want to attack me, then I welcome you with open arms. As long as someone chooses to volunteer to become my target, then the rest of you can go wherever you want to go without having to pay anything,"
"You..." Emir and Dominic pointed their fingers at Guild Leader Loki in disbelief.
"I am okay with that, but I don't know about our Elder, though," Eme Clarity expressed her uncertainty. Getting the personal approval of their Elder and her approval is a completely different story to tell. She might be considered a genius in the Clarity Noble Household, but every year they would have other geniuses similar to her as well. So, it is not a huge loss if they actually just choose to give up on her. In addition to that, even if their Elder indeed chooses to talk with Guild Leader Loki, there is still the problem of persuading the former to agree. As such, there is no telling for certain yet whether their Elder would really agree to Guild Leader Loki's proposition or not.
"Your only task is to get your Elder to talk to me, while the rest can be left to me to handle," Leo explained that there is nothing to worry about. He also turned to look at Faye and said, "The same goes for you as well. Just persuade your Guild Leader to come here,"

Before They Came (Magical Apocalypse)
Our way of life it ended faster than we ever thought possible. It didn't happen with a nuclear war, an asteroid, or a damn ice age. It ended because of another war, far away from us. Thank you for your time and your patience. CLARIFIER: The MC struggles with himself. He has human flaws including IGNORANCE. The MC starts the story out drunk, which has a major impact on the story in the beginning and way beyond. The story takes time to unfold, please be patient. Tur Briste
A Druid cultivation novel. Borrows concepts from Wuxia and Xianxia but using Druid myth and lore. More on this at the bottom. Crow is son of Maddox, a Druid with an ancient bloodline and a people with a story spanning toward the beginning of time. Cursed, unfated, and a heap of bad luck have brought him only pain and suffering, but nothing will stop him. Nothing can stop him. A son of Maddox doesn’t bow his head. A son of Maddox understands that only a man with roots, with something to lose, will fight until the last drop of blood leaves his body. The Draoidh were once a proud people. They were both respected and hated for their form of righteousness. Power wasn’t something they gained through the might of their arms, but through intelligence. Their fall was all the more disheartening for the weaker cultivators. The tens of thousands of years that followed… chaos reigned. They forced Draoidh until most fled to the lower realms, nearly wiped out and exhausted. They went into hiding and became known as the Druids of the Oak. The Druid Order wasn’t the powerhouse it had been, and only nine of the major clans survived the calamity. Their bloodline weakened, as well as their prestige. Even the remaining clans fought amongst each other. Already on the decline and near extinguished, the Maddox clan can only struggle for survival, but their foundation wasn’t a joke. Weakened, but not weak. The other clans will understand this difference soon enough. Tur Briste, the Shattered Tower, awaits Crow’s ascension. Reaching the upper realms is only the first step in reestablishing the Draoidh. The Druids of the Oak remembered every betrayal and grievance, and they’ll return to power and reclaim what once belonged to them. The upper realms may have forgotten, but the Druid Order has not. Please Note:1) This is harem story. There are only a few chapters with sex, and it’s not a focus of the story. I’ll only add graphic sex if I feel the story needs it, so not gratuitously. Either way, Crow has several women. This is in line with Druid/Celtic history, and harems/reverse harems were an accepted part of their culture. Further, they had open marriages, meaning the man or woman could end their marriage at any time. While it was still a patriarchy, women had almost equal power. They were a very progressive culture. 2) There is a period of a 30-50 chapters where Crow loses the ability to cultivate like a Druid so he adopts an eastern body cultivation method for a while. This is temporary, but some people feel it’s misleading, so I am pointing it out ahead of time. I promise, the Druid stuff comes back, and 90% of the lore/myths/creatures/gods are all related to Druid/Celt/Irish/Scottish history. 3) I use many original names, most of which are in Gaelic or Irish. In the story, I refer to this language as Ancient. I enjoy all kinds of folklore and myths, so I encourage you to google those original names as they arrive. I give some background on them at the end of the chapter in my author’s note. 4) I use Ogham runes a lot, these are like the Druid alphabet, and they based each rune on a sacred tree so they also have symbolism associated with them. Again, feel free to google that too. It’s pretty neat stuff. Quick Translations:Draoidh = DruidTur Briste = Shattered Tower or Broken Tower Release Schedule:As of Oct 1, 2021- 3 chapters released every Sunday (May have up to two bonus chapters)- Side character chapters… this might be bonus chapters I release through the week. So they won’t count toward the 3 chapters on Sunday.- Please understand I work full time, have two kids, and can’t spare as much time as I’d like toward my writing. Maybe in the future I can switch to doing this full time, but for now 3 chapters is a comfortable pace for me. Lastly… I very much appreciate all my readers and thank you for allowing me to entertain you!
