《Online Game: I Possess a Monster Merging Simulator!》Chapter 172: Divine Dragon Bloodline

After the mission reward, Lorne received an additional reward from the Dragon of Light.
First, it was 10 points of divine power. In this case, Lorne's divine power reached 80 points!
80 seconds of flying could allow him to deal with more danger and overcome most of the special terrain.
Next were the [Light Dragon Crystal], [Dragon Soul Compass], and [Dragon's Treasure Vault]!
To Lorne, the dragon crystal was not unfamiliar. The dragon souls had given him dragon crystal fragments before, and the only difference was that the dragon crystal's attributes were "Light"!
This should be a Dragon Crystal unique to the Dragon of Light. If that was the case, then the value of this Dragon Crystal would definitely be more expensive than other Dragon Crystals of other attributes.
In addition, the Dragon of Light gave him the Dragon Soul Compass and the Dragon Treasure Vault.
These two special items were definitely the most, most, most precious among all the rewards!
These were the two items that Lorne wanted the most.
Now, he had finally succeeded.
The only worry in Lorne's heart vanished.
As for the subsequent rewards?
There was no need to elaborate on the Dragon of Light's affinity and the Dragon Race of Order reputation. In short, they were very rare.
In the end, Lorne obtained a very important reward—[Dragon's Pharmacopoeia]!
————
[Dragon's Pharmacopoeia]
Grade: Legendary
Introduction: A pharmacopoeia passed down from generation to generation by the Dragon of Light. It records a large number of medicinal herb characteristics and potion formulas. Carrying this tool, one can immediately obtain the ability to differentiate high-level medicinal herbs and possess a super-level potion brewing skill and high-level herb-picking skill.
(Note: The potion formulas of the Dragon's Pharmacopoeia require enough Dragon Race reputation points to unlock. Moreover, the higher the quality of the potion, the higher the reputation points required for the Dragon Race of Order.)

Seeing the effect of the tool, Lorne was stunned.
What kind of ability did he need now?
He would definitely say that it was herb-picking!
This was because there were countless herbs in the alchemy workshop of the Cold Desolate Dragon City. According to the experience of the players, those were definitely high quality special potions and were extremely valuable.
If he did not obtain this medicinal book, he would definitely go to the Alchemist Association and let them help identify the medicinal herbs.
But now, there was no need. With this pharmacopoeia on him, he could completely differentiate the herbs himself and collect them!
In addition, this pharmacopoeia gave him the ability to brew high-grade potions.
Lorne checked the potion formulas and found that the potions were all very advanced. The effect was several times stronger than that of Iron Skull City's potions of the same level!
If he built a territory city in the future, then these special potions would definitely become the number one product in the territory!
However, it seemed that the high-level potion part of the pharmacopoeia could only be unlocked with a very high Dragon Race reputation. With his current Dragon Race reputation, he could only check the formula for a level 4 potion.
…..
"Young man, you found so many dragon souls in the ruins of the war. Did you find the skeletons of the dragons?"
The Dragon of Light's voice cut through Lorne's delusions.
"Yes."
Lorne nodded, then took out the dragon skeletons from his bag.
Dragon skeletons were rarer than dragon souls, but because Lorne had found dragon souls in the Cold Desolate Dragon City, he had obtained a lot of dragon skeletons.
Lorne took them all out. There were a total of 12 dragon skeletons.
"Very good." The Dragon of Light said, "Doris is creating the undead bone dragon. You have collected so many dragon skeletons, which is equivalent to ruining her plan. This is a huge contribution. I should give you the most generous reward."

"Young man, your bloodline is still the most ordinary human bloodline. It can't bring you greater potential."
Bloodline?!
Lorne was pleasantly surprised.
As the number one player, he knew very well that bloodline could bring greater strength to players. It was an attribute that was as important as a hidden class.
According to the Dragon of Light, it wanted to give him a high-level bloodline!
With that in mind, Lorne immediately replied, "Dragon God, I hope to obtain the most powerful bloodline."
"Yes, young man. Since you're so ambitious, I'll give you two choices."
The Dragon of Light said, "Firstly, there is a very rare dragon bloodline. This bloodline can allow you to have the same talent as dragons. Although it is not the strongest, it is relatively easy to nurture. Your future path will be very smooth."
"Secondly, there is the Divine Dragon bloodline. This is the bloodline flowing through the body of the Great Divine Dragon of Order. It has the greatest power in this world, but correspondingly, it is the bloodline that is the most difficult to nurture. If you choose this bloodline, your future path will be very bumpy!"
"Young man, which do you choose?"
The Dragon of Light looked at Lorne again, as if the Dragon God liked to see people make choices. This time, it gave Lorne two options.
However, according to previous practices, the latter was definitely the best choice.
Especially since he was doing the "Divine Radiance" mission. As the source of the power of the Divine Dragon of Order, he had to use the bloodline of the Divine Dragon of Order to control it.
The result was obvious.
Lorne answered directly, "Dragon God, I choose the Divine Dragon Bloodline. For the sake of the eternal light of this world, I am willing to walk the most difficult path of growth!"
"Young man, I admire your courage, but this is no small matter. I hope you can reconsider and not make a decision in a hurry."
"There's no need to consider, Dragon God. I'm sure of my choice!"
"Alright…"
The Dragon of Light no longer advised, but it could be seen from his eyes that this was the result he wanted.
Then, a brilliant light blossomed from his body like a golden sun. In the center of the sun, a drop of blood that emitted endless light poured into Lorne.
Ding!
"Congratulations on obtaining the Dragon of Light's gift: Divine Dragon Bloodline!"
When the system notification sound disappeared, Lorne immediately felt a warm feeling in his body, as if all the cells in his body had been purified. His attributes had also been greatly enhanced at this moment.
Lorne immediately opened his attributes panel to check for information regarding the bloodline.
The moment he saw the bloodline information, he was completely stunned.

BODY&SHADOW
AN ILLUSTRATED NOVEL • UPDATES TUESDAY AND FRIDAY In a time before living memory, the King Dragon of the Void watched the world and realized there was a crack. He realized that humanity was destroying the rock upon which they lived; they leaked life’s code into the churning chaos. At first the change was imperceptible: nanites overtook microorganisms, bacteria, viruses, amoebas. Insects became increasingly inorganic; birds and lizards followed soon after. Even humans were infected by their own advances, cell by cell, till there was not a person left on earth who wasn’t at least part synthetic, the product of a prior generation’s carelessness. The world’s population was ravaged by mechanical viruses with no vaccines; they were mercilessly overtaken by bacteria that knew no death. Soon, most of the planet was empty and only a handful remained who remembered the hedonist realm they came from; only a few were left who remembered what the world looked like when their buildings touched the sky. The King Dragon of the Void watched the rock turn. He watched humans cower as the Old World fell down around them; watched their great monuments crumble into dusty ruins; watched their codes become precious, ancient gem memories forged under the crushing pressure of so many fallen stones. The world has spun many times around the sun since chaos swallowed man whole. It is a simpler time than the one that died out, but the people now are not immune to the folly of the people before. There is old code everywhere: in the water, in the air, in the trees. The heart of man has been replaced by power cores, many of which are hard-coded with preternatural abilities—when they die, an esoteric mountain sect collects their cores and stores them in their hollow mountain home to preserve the sanctity and dignity of human death. They’ve learned to harness artifacts of the old world, gemstones full of codes their nanite infused bodies can parse as spells imbuing their users with great power; they inlay them into their bodies, into their skins, connected to their cores by copper conduit and gold tracers; they dress themselves in tattoos to advertise their prowess; they battle for relics in arenas, fight for them in the open world wherever they are found. The King Dragon of the Void watches the rock turn and wonders: when will this hunger finally make the rock stop spinning? WELCOME TO FANXING CITY … Twenty-five years ago, Fanxing City and the surrounding lands were commanded by the mad King Zao Beiguan. For many years, the King hoarded wealth, artifacts, food; he demanded tribute from a people already taxed to the edges of their existence and expected they be happy with their circumstances. Noncompliance was often punished harshly, bodies displayed proudly on Fanxing’s streets as a warning, from the city gates to the Zao palace’s golden doors. The youths of several prominent clans came together to overthrow the tyrant and made names for themselves as legendary heroes across the land: Tian, Ren, Feng, Gui, Ma, and Zhenxi. Even wanderers from the Luanshi sect descended from Yunji mountain to aid the rebellion. When the dust settled after three years, Tian Yunyong ascended the throne of Fanxing and swore to honour his slain father’s memory, and has maintained Fanxing’s peace with generosity and mercy where fear and cruelty once reigned.

The Ingress Estate
Jonathon Eucole. Soldier. Scholar. Now an Initiate, the dedication without dedication, he finds himself both prisoner and master of an arcane edifice, the Ingress Estate, which can neither be escaped, nor controlled; only diverted, maintained, and pacified. This is a gothic fantasy story, set in a world in which gods and the afterlife are not only real and known, but were both established in living memory of some of the inhabitants after millennia of arcane warfare with the being who constructed the mundane reality the humans occupy. But this isn't the story of those who colonized the afterlife at the cost of their own humanity, but a somewhat more ordinary man, in somewhat extraordinary circumstances. This is also a LitRPG-lite, which means there's a system of sorts, fragments of which can be observed through Jonathon's eyes. Don't expect level-up screens, or statistics, or indeed numbers much at all, beyond those the inhabitants of the world itself apply to understanding their own reality. It pretty much doesn't matter to the story, I mention it so those who don't want to read LitRPG at all can successfully avoid it here. I don't have any particular plan here, just some ideas inherent in the genre. This is a character concept I toyed with some years ago; an old man, bright of mind but weighed down into apathy, both by his past and his responsibilities for a terrible estate that cannot be left without stewardship. Don't expect any kind of overarching plot or story, because that's really not what this is about. Also don't expect much dialogue. Or character development. Or much of anything, really, because I've planned nothing in the way of an actual book, here. Other relevant information, if you've read this far for some reason: The MC isn't super-powerful to begin with, and probably never will be. He's a veteran with some useful skills, and the insight on how to use them, so can deal with the world's ordinary threats reasonably well, but not too much beyond that. --- Currently on hiatus, as currently the story has a rather poor ratio of effort-to-personal-payoff. I may return to this once I have a clear idea of how to get the stories where I want them. I've started a more standard LitRPG using the same system. But if you like intelligence characters who cleverly min-max their classes, it probably isn't the story for you; it's the story of a rather ordinary guy who winds up in a very similar universe.
