"So? What do you want to speak with us?" I asked. I was a bit bored.
"Drake, let's take down the Elders together." She said.
"Excuse me?"
This woman was truly something else, she just asked us to join her in taking down the Elders?
"Are you serious?" I asked.
"You want to do that?" asked Benladann.
Well, I know she acted different than the other Elders, but that didn't exactly mean she was going to help us take them down like nothing.
But can we even trust her in this? I don't know. She seems suspicious to me.
"I don't know if we should really trust you though. Is there a way to guarantee that you're saying what you mean? And how are you planning to do that? What is your endgame?" I asked.
"Indeed! You're saying this way too casually. I bet this is a set-up so she can, later on, reveal what we are talking to the Elders through some device and then make them all want to kill us for treason or something." Said Benladann.
Benladann was a bit exaggerated there but yeah, maybe.
However, she only laughed.
"Fufufu… Hahaha! That was amazing, you're very smart, aren't you? I don't plan anything of the sort, and here's a contract." She said as she borrowed a contract from her spatial pouch.
"Sign it and you'll be able to trust me thoroughly." She said, winking at me.
"You know that contracts always have loopholes, right?" I asked.
"It's not an immediate way to trust someone else." Said Benladann.
"Sigh… You two are so obstinate. Fine, I will reveal to you my true intentions… I dislike the Elders, and I want to take them down, and possibly kill them. Yes, I said it. This sect has been falling downwards into a terrible place since enslavement was allowed that this place had become a hellhole for many, and we had strived way too far away from our original position as a righteous sect. This, for a lack of a better term, utterly repulses me. I hate these old and angry idiots, and I just want to crush them all… So help me out. You're strong, and your sect is filled with even stronger members. Let's do a coup de tat."

Coup de tat?!
She wants to completely overtake the entire sect and become its ruler? Interesting…
So more people think like us?
But how many?
"Are you just alone on this? It will be useless." I said.
"Fufu, so rude… And indeed, I do have my own group too! Many elders also despise this group. We had simply called ourselves the righteous faction. While those monsters are the demon faction." She said.
"I see… What do you think?" I asked Benladann.
"Hmm… I don't know. She's too annoying, and she was offering to you as a desperate whore, I dislike her." Said Benladann.
"I honestly think the same. I can't trust someone like this, she might buy our stuff but it doesn't mean we have to just trust her blindly. Well, this is too bad, we won't take the offer." I said.
"I see… What a pity…" she sighed.
We didn't even taste her wine and got up from our seats. Tisha, Pekora, and Yuki had been silent this whole time, and Frost stayed outside with the crows, so no one else argued with us and we walked into the door.
"It is truly a pity, you're not even drinking the wine?" she asked.
"Sorry, maybe in another time," I said.
"There won't be another time! He doesn't have any interest in a whore!" roared Benladann.
"Oh… I see… then… I guess you don't leave us any other option." She said in our backs, as a sudden flash of blue light encompassed the entire house!
FLAAAASSSH!
What the heck is this?!
I created a barrier of wind and ice around us and protected everyone, infusing mana into it.
The light clashed over my barrier like an explosion, but the magic of a Rank 4 was not to laugh at.

CLASH!
"Oh? You can withstand that?" she asked.
I suddenly realized as I expanded my senses that the entire house was made into a barrier of magic, the entire house created what's called… a Magic Formation!
This Magic Formation encompassed the entire house and us inside of it.
The flash of light that hit us was the formation of barriers being created…
The woman slowly walked towards us, as an eerie presence began to surge from within her. It was not only the Ice Element, but she also had Dark Element and… what? Phantom Element… a lesser element of Death magic more related to the soul element.
Does she have three elements? Does she have secondary Mana Cores? Huh…
FLASH! FLASH! FLASH!
Suddenly, runes emerged around her, as five other Rank 3 Elders emerged.
"Such a pity! I was really going to be your friend, but you ruined it and now you're forcing me to act… At least you should have drunk the wine to be brainwashed instantly… Well, you're cornered. Give up and join us while you can, or we'll have to use force. Just sign the contract." She said, giving us the paper.
I was about to confront her, but Benladann interrupted me.
"Heheh…"
Benladann began to laugh.
"Hm? What's so funny? We've got you already, sweetie." Said Cassiopeia.
"I am laughing because this attempt is absurd…" she said.
"Absurd? Heh, you've got some guts. You might be Rank 3, but we are more than you two. Six versus two… it's not hard to know the outcome of such a fight." She said.
"Oh man, I am really going to enjoy killing you." Said Benladann, her eyes shone with bright red.
Oof, that's Miranda coming out, alright, she means serious business.
"Hahaha! You're bold for a little bitch, you need at least another one hundred years to compare to my power and greatness. You don't even have a secondary Mana Core." She laughed.
FLASH!
Benladann moved like a meteor of darkness, clashing against the woman!
CLASH!
Alright then, time to move… She completely stole my show though.

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
