《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 1596. Old Wang

“F*ck!”
Seeing who the message was from, Wang Yu was speechless.
In <>, quite a few people called themselves Iron Bull’s father in private but there was only one person who dared to use this name publicly and that person was Wang Yu’s real father, Old Wang.
Old Wang was unlike Wang Yu. He was a real sloth. He did not join guilds nor form teams and basically treated this large-scale online game <> as a console game. However, he had fun. Youths really cannot imagine what an elderly’s life is like.
For someone like Old Wang who came and went as he wished, he did not like to interact with others. He even did not keep in contact with his own sons.
Wang Yu only met his father once and so added him as a friend but this name only remained in his friends list without any interactions..
This was normal as, usually, they did not interact a lot so it would be awkward if they forcefully did.
As for why Old Wang was looking for him, Wang Yu could guess. Based on what Wang Yu knew, he just got a bunch of materials from Evil Rampage so it was easy to guess why he was looking for him.
“I am in the bar.”
After pausing for a bit, Wang Yu casually replied.
Quickly, Old Wang replied, “Okay, stay there. I’ll be right there.”
“Honglong!”
Wang Yu received the message and heard a sound. The bar’s door was pushed open from the outside and soon, a burly man walked in.
Beast players were bigger built than human players but this one was even burlier. He was taller than two metres and his width was equivalent to two people’s width so his actions gave off a strong presence.

The ID on his head was even more striking – Iron Bull’s Father.
If he used this ID in other main cities, others might feel that he was daring but to use this in Twilight City while roaming around, it was plain arrogance.
Well, who was the last person you should trifle with at Twilight City?
The answer was undeniably Iron Bull. As the City Lord of Twilight City and Quan Zhen Sect’s top player, Wang Yu could take on big guilds single-handedly. Even a big guild like Sanguine Alliance was submissive to him, making his name known far and wide. When the nearby main cities’ players see him, they will respectfully address him as Great God Iron Bull.
They worried that if they were disrespectful, Wang Yu would kill them.
But yet, this person dared to self-proclaim as Iron Bull’s father. Such a pompous guy really did not fear death.
By this time, there were still quite a few of Quan Zhen Sect’s players in the bar.
Those in the bar were of course not unfamiliar with Quan Zhen Sect and Wang Yu.
Seeing that orc’s ID, everyone was shocked and carefully glanced at Quan Zhen Sect then quickly left the bar fearfully.
Of course, they would. That orc’s presence seemed extraordinary and no less mighty than Wang Yu. He even appeared in front of Wang Yu with such an ID. He definitely was not to be trifled with.
If they began fighting in the bar, they might just tear it down.
When immortals fight, mortals suffer.
Everyone saw what happened to Void Blade so no one dared to watch Wang Yu fight anymore.
As the players in the bar left, Quan Zhen Sect’s players’ eyes were drawn to this orc.
Vainglory was a smart child. Before Wang Yu spoke, he squeezed over and obediently greeted the orc, “Old Mr Wang, why are you here?”

Fearless and the rest saw him and also quickly stood up.
Old Wang might be old but his memory was not bad. He had a strong impression of this child who dared to attack him. Seeing that Vainglory became so obedient, he patted his head with satisfaction and said, “I am just walking around. Everyone, don’t be so polite.”
As he spoke, Old Wang waved at Fearless and the rest, gesturing everyone to sit.
Everyone nodded politely at Old Wang then sat down.
Old Wang was not a stranger so he casually pulled two chairs together and said beside Wang Yu before he unhappily said, “The people here are really impolite.”
“Why?” Wang Yu puzzledly asked, “Someone dared to rob you?”
“No!” Old Wang waved his hand and said, “They kept staring at me. Have they never seen such a handsome orc? Just now, a few people ran after seeing me. Did I ruin their appetite? How rude!”
Quan Zhen Sect, “…”
Great, this father and son’s character was indeed inherited. Although they were charismatic, they were still equally delusional about their own appearance.
“F*ck…”
Wang Yu speechlessly broke out in sweat then pointed at the ID above Old Wang’s head and said, “Don’t you think these words above your head are very striking?”
“Striking? I don’t think so…” Old Wang shook his head and said, “In other main cities, the players there praised my ID.”
“Really?” Wang Yu looked upset and said, “Tell me which main cities were those? I shall visit them one day. What’s there to praise? It sounds horrible.”
“F*ck off!”
Hearing that, Old Wang slammed the table and the wine cups jumped up. He said, “I am your father. That’s the truth. Why is this name bad? If it is bad, it is because of your name, not my problem!”
“Aiya…”
Quan Zhen Sect saw that and quickly reached out to grab the win cups before looking towards Wang Yu simultaneously as they wanted to watch the two of them fight over how good a name was.
Wang Yu helplessly said, “I wonder who gave me such a bad name?”
“Hmm…”
Everyone held on to their wine cups and looked back at Old Wang.
“Haha, why bother about these details?”
Old Wang laughed then quickly changed the topic and said, “I am not here to discuss this issue with you.”
Wang Yu, “…”
Great, the old he got, the more shameless he was. This was Wang Yu’s experience. Old Wang was not a reasonable person so his shamelessness was not unexpected to Wang Yu.
“Then what are you here for? Other than showing off your ID…” Wang Yu rebutted.
Wang Yu was almost thirty and was not a child anymore. He should still be given some face.
This ID Old Wang had did not mean much to others but as Wang Yu was the City Lord, it was not a positive influence in the city.
After all, those who knew their relationship, knew he was Wang Yu’s father but for those who did not know, they would think who was this lunatic who was here to taunt Wang Yu.

What seems like an innocent game trope turns into a nightmare. This is a story of tragedy and the path to ultimate power. All in the hopes of an uncertain survival. _________ This fiction has NOT been abandoned. I made a haughty promise earlier to not worry because I'll continue this series, and with things lately, I've only proved myself a liar. Further promises dwindled, and I've lost trust. So many things have been going on recently that I've been booked. I will refrain from making any future guarantees or promises as my busy schedule will stay with me for a long long while. Time for me to actually spend on writing and revising won't appear until at the least November 19. I won't say expect that's when I'll restart, but you can expect expecting it to maybe happen. That's really shallow. But with everything going on, I've let my small reading base down. I apologize. I still stick by my statement though that I won't abandon this project. I plan to stick it to the end, no matter the delay. Most importantly, thank you everyone; readers who both like and dislike my work. I appreciate your time spent on my dumb imagination. Stay toasty my readers in this winter season. Cheers. UPDATE: We're back on track. Thank you for your patience. Any future readers, heyo! Glad you're here. UPDATE 2: So far it's been 21 days since I last uploaded a chapter. The best thing done for any fiction, no matter how good it is, is that it continues, and I have a bad history with that. 1 fiction on hiatus and already more delays with less than 20 chapters in this fiction. I've been very preoccupied with adding more things to do in my life rather than actually committing to any particular thing. That applies primarily to this. I cannot abandon this, as busy as my future looks and will look as I get busier and busier. Someday, I hope, I will be able to sit down and just write. just. write. But for now, I ask for patience. I suppose I'm glad this fiction hasn't picked up so that I don't disappoint too many people if any really. But I need to commit and it's going to happen sometime and sometime soon. No more flowery words. I'll see you later. UPDATE 3: It's very evident I won't be able to pick up this story for a while. With AP Testing, competitions, and other things I am busier than ever. But I must complete this fiction. I have too. Until next time. UPDATE 4: It is now the summer. I owe everyone an apology. Chances are, nobody's around to see this, and that is okay. I only blame myself for this sort of brokenness of a fiction, not that it is actually that bad but I am just exaggerating it for dramatic effect. But what's not exaggerated is the severity of my broken promise. I apologize for my naive claims about finishing a novel that I couldn't finish and that I didn't have the discipline to finish. Nor the skills, really, I was and am still an immature writer. What is to place now? I want to make it clear I understand this is my fault. I will man up to this. And I will accept any criticism. I understand I messed up. Reading Stephen King's On Writing made it clear to me that I need to do two things:Read lots. And write lots.I have done neither. If I don't have the time to read often, how do I expect to write? I need to become more experienced. I need to become a serious writer. So if I want to dream of continuing, I need to at least fulfill both requirements. I enjoy writing. I haven't written seriously outside of school in a while. I planned to write this summer and finish this. I made a lot of promises that I didn't keep.So there's that. I won't enact any self-pity, or be foolishly obsessed. What I did was wrong, and I must deal with it. I let down readers. And I apologize.I hope I can find forgiveness. This is a writer's sin.I won't promise I'll finish this. I intend to finish this, at some point, because writing is fun and I want to write. But how things are don't reflect that. Maybe I'll finish this at some point. Maybe I won't. I won't be naive to make that promise.I thank everyone who has read this if this is the end. If not, and hopefully not, I thank everyone who is to read future chapters. I thank everyone who allowed me to live in the miniscule little dream of mine as I passed my days. I thank everyone who cares enough to read this. Until next time, peace everyone. Thank you. You are all great readers and great people. I wish everyone the best in whatever reading/writing endeavors follow you henceforth.
