《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 1588. How To Cross, How To Cross?

Watching Wang Yu leave Starry Sky City, the remaining players instantly went after him.
It was not because they knew Wang Yu was leaving, it was because his leaving gave them a chance.
<> was a game of high difficulty. Unless one was rich or had abilities like Wang Yu, it was tough to survive in the game. Hence, these people with no guild were a pitiful bunch.
In this world where guilds rule, good training locations and places where BOSS spawned were occupied by guilds. Big guilds would enjoy the meat while small guilds could have the vegetables. The remaining players without guilds and friends were left with nothing. Other than being barely able to kill monsters and level up, they even have to randomly form a group to complete dungeons.
Based on the difficulty level of dungeons in <>, these remaining players would die several times even in normal dungeons.
.
Without wild monsters and being unable to fight in high-level dungeons, these remaining players naturally did not have any good equipment.
The weaker they were, the more they craved power.
Similarly, the less equipment the player had and the worse off a player was, the more the player wanted to excel.
What did Wang Yu take away?
God’s Glory!
To Starry Sky City, it was the most important thing so once they lost it, the consequences were unimaginable.
Of course, if they could find it, the rewards would be extremely generous.
These remaining players were not bothered by the punishment of losing God’s Glory as they were pitiful enough so they could not be any worse off. However, Wang Yu was a rare visitor for them.
Usually, at such a time, the big guilds would keep the good things for themselves.
Even if the big guilds did not want them, the small guilds would pick them up so the remaining players never had a chance.
Now that the big guilds were fighting and the small guilds were stealing, the remaining players were left with Wang Yu, the big fish.

Obviously, everyone knew that this big fish was not easy to catch. However, their desire for the fish meat made them lose all logic.
Because they knew that if they killed Wang Yu and snatched the God’s Glory, they would be highly accomplished.
They would not only get good equipment, they might even get to join a good guild.
These greedy guys did not consider who Wang Yu was.
In Starry Sky City, Wang Yu could cause the big guilds to fight amongst themselves. Now that Wang Yu left the city and entered the forest, were they not seeking death by daring to chase Wang Yu into such an environment?
After all, Koreans did not have much understanding of Chinese culture. There was a saying that taught people not to enter forests. In such a situation, Chinese players would simply accept their fate.
But the Korean players chased in to give their lives away…
…
Starry Sky City had many big guilds and also a lot of remnant players so there were nearly a thousand people chasing after Wang Yu.
It was just a thousand people. Even if they were elite experts of big guilds, Wang Yu would dare to fight them.
Furthermore, they were in a forest where camouflage was easy so it was easy to predict what happened to those chasing after Wang Yu.
Initially, Wang Yu tried not to kill as he was afraid his PK value would attract the guards. But since he knew killing would not increase his PK value and would instead increase his merit and achievements, Wang Yu did not go easy on this bunch of Koreans.
In the forest, Wang Yu snuck here and there, up and down… No one knew where he would appear from.
When dealing with an expert like Wang Yu, these players with little battle ability naturally were no match.
The leaves blocked the sunlight and the entire forest was full of dark energy. However, amongst the trees, there were rays of white light shining upwards as though they were dangerous yet pretty fireworks. No one who entered that area came out alive. Every single soul was sent back to Starry Sky City by Wang Yu for free and Wang Yu’s merit points reached a thousand points.

In the dark forest, he was like a man-eating beast that confidently swallowed these players with desire. Watching the endless rays of white light appear, the players at the back finally gave up and stopped.
They had seen experts but it was the first time they saw someone as scary as Wang Yu.
They wanted to seize the opportunity but obviously, it was a suicide mission so it was clearly not a wise idea.
As mentioned, these remnant players were unskilled, had mediocre equipment and no friends, and had no sense of belonging to Starry Sky City.
They did not care about Starry Sky City’s life and death, so why waste their precious XP to help others live happily? If Starry Sky City was gone, they could just go to another city to lead their miserable lives.
Just like that, the last batch who was going after Wang Yu decided to back out after seeing his abilities.
…
Wang Yu was not someone who left no way out for others. Seeing that the rest behind did not dare to step forward anymore, he did not go after them. Instead, he looked at the map then quickly rushed to the border.
…
The Korean server was a peninsula and Starry Sky City was connected to the Brave Continent.
Wang Yu used his qinggong to rush over so it was quite fast. In less than thirty minutes, he reached the border then stopped there.
When he reached, there was no road ahead. Instead, the road was replaced by a broad river.
The river flowed continuously with strong and rapid currents.
Usually, Wang Yu could fly so this river could not stop him as all he had to do was spread his wings and fly over.
However, now that Wang Yu’s flying abilities were banned, there were only two ways to cross the river.
One was to use a boat to sail across it.
The other was to swim over.
Boats were basically all in Starry Sky City’s players’ possession. They wanted to kill so badly so it did not make sense for him to turn back to borrow a boat.
As for swimming…
As someone who lived in the dry north of the country, Wang Yu was not skilled at it.
Of course, the game character could swim but Wang Yu avoided water as he did not know if there were any monsters in this unfamiliar territory.
Based on the abilities the system gave him, he could not drown but he was unsure of his battle abilities in water.
It was really making life hard for him to fight in the water. Was Li Kui incredible? Even though he could swim, once he fought in the water, he almost drowned. How about Monkey King? He also avoids water.
Wang Yu might be powerful but as someone who could not swim, it would be difficult for him to fight in the water.
Wang Yu also did not know how long the chaos in Starry Sky City would last. If he was caught at the river, it would be impossible for him to escape.
After looking around, other than fields of common weeds, there was nothing else.
This is a realistic story so things like sailing on a weed would not happen.
Just when Wang Yu did not know how to cross the river, suddenly, the river’s surface swelled up and a whirlpool appeared in the middle of the river.
