“Warning, God of Light Luke has been attacked by a player. Please check if there are any abnormalities with the player.”
…
“???”
Hearing the siren, the faces of the monitoring crew turned gloomy as Director Li even started trembling in fear.
What the hell was going on? Why did the siren have to sound off just when the CEO of the gaming company came to do his inspection?
Ma Longteng was an experienced man so he did not reveal any emotions. However, he looked awkwardly at Director Li and the message from his eyes were clear.
The lady behind Ma Longteng was, on the other hand, not planning to show any respect as she chuckled and asked, “Brothers, is something wrong?”
This kid might not be old but her mouth was truly vicious enough. One sentence was all it took to silence everyone in the room as she was clearly mocking them.
“F*ck…”
Zhao Xinpei thought for a moment before replying, “That… According to my best knowledge, that shouldn’t be a technical issue.”
“Ha?” The young lady snickered, “Something really went wrong?”
“No no no!” Zhao Xinpei continued, “It might be because of a certain player. That’s why the siren…”
He was already speaking from experience. Previously when the siren sounded, it was usually not because of a technical issue.
“A certain player? What do you mean?” Ma Longteng, who had kept quiet all along, couldn’t understand what Zhao Xinpei was trying to say so he asked.
> was one of the latest games in the industry and it was one that the Soaring Dragon Game Studios put 90% of their heart and soul in it. How could a game like that be disrupted by a single player? What nonsense was Zhao Xinpei spouting?!

“Yes, Chairman Ma!” Zhao Xinpei reassured, “That player has existed ever since the start of the game. He is extremely strong and has been the talk of the town. Previously…”
“Little Zhao!”
Zhao Xinpei only spoke halfway and Director Li interrupted him, “You’re spouting rubbish again! How many times have I told you that the person you’re talking about is definitely using external modifications!”
“It is not external modification!” Zhao Xinpei stood his ground and argued, “We’ve done our checks over and over again!”
“That simply means you’re not technically skilled enough to detect the external modifications! To think you dare to let him stay in the game for such a long time? Do you even want your job!” Director Li’s face turned black as he was clearly trying to threaten him.
Why must this happen now of all times? It was evident that this kid was unhappy with his punishment so he wanted to revive old arguments in front of the boss.
“You’re not making sense anymore!”
Hearing what Director Li said, this lady interrupted, “My father hasn’t even said anything so who are you to fire our employees?”
“I…” Director Li was flabbergasted as he hurriedly lowered his head, “Chairman Ma… Here.”
“Don’t worry about it!” Ma Longteng was indeed magnanimous as he waved his hands, “My girl has always been the most straightforward so I hope Director Li will not take it to heart.”
“I won’t… I won’t.” Director Li wiped his sweat off his forehead.
“I doubt you’d dare.” The young lady snorted disdainfully.
“Enough!” Ma Longteng felt that she was going overboard so he turned to look at his young lady, “This is the problem for the technical department. What do you know?”
“Tsk!” The young lady was clearly not bothered, “A problem arises in the technical department and you want to push the blame to the player? What kind of boss are you?”

“…”
This sentence turned the entire monitoring studio silent again.
Just how vicious could this girl get with her mouth?
Of course, this was ultimately the boss’s family matter so nobody there could intervene.
“You won’t know!”
Ma Longteng’s temper was indeed great as he did not flare up. Instead, he smiled and said, “The external modification techniques used by players nowadays might not be any weaker than our technicians themselves so we have to be cautious. You’re still young so it’s normal that you haven’t seen anything like that.”
“Tsk!” The young lady refuted, “But I have really seen a player better than external modifications.”
“Oh? Is he in > too?” Ma Longteng asked.
“That’s right!” the lady replied proudly, “I’ve even stayed with him in the past!”
“You brat!!!”
Hearing what she said, Ma Longteng almost rolled his eyes in anger as he replied, “What rubbish are you spouting!”
“I’m not!” she continued, “My friends and I rented his apartment… Brother Bull is a nice guy and he practices martial arts so he is honest and straightforward. He isn’t what you think he is.”
“Brother Bull?”
The monitoring crew lifted their heads when they heard the two words ‘Brother Bull’. Zhao Xinpei was surprised, “What is the ID of this person that you’re talking about?”
“Iron Bull.” the lady spoke with pride, “Our squad was the champion of the professional league in this country alright! My ID is Iris!”
So this lady was Mary, the girl who left Wang Yu’s house so quietly in the past.
“It’s him! That’s him!”
Zhao Xinpei became excited when he heard this ID, “You’re right! Iron Bull is the one who has been triggering the warning on numerous occasions.”
“Ohh?”
If Zhao Xinpei was always the only one who claimed that this player was so strong that he constantly triggered the warning, Ma Longteng would probably think he was using external modifications too. But if his own daughter was saying that too, Ma Longteng couldn’t help but grow interested. He was, in fact, slightly excited as he said, “Show me the recordings! I do want to see where this Iron Bull came from.”
During the previous incident, the higher-ups blamed Zhao Xinpei and his crew and punished them. If Ma Longteng saw this player that Zhao Xinpei was claiming, this matter might come up again.
At that point, the person to blame would probably not have it well. After all, the monitoring team was also the technical department and technicians were the foundation of the game. Pushing the mistakes of the higher-ups to their own subordinates was certainly not tolerable in the company.
Director Li might not be the mastermind behind all these but he was also involved in the pushing of blames. If they were to dig this up, Director Li wouldn’t be able to avoid any punishment too.
When Director Li saw that Ma Longteng was interested in what Zhao Xinpei said, he panicked as he stopped Zhao Xinpei, “Chairman Ma, do not listen to his nonsense. He is merely a player who uses external modification. They are only saying that because they are too useless to detect his fraud. Don’t worry, I will educate them properly.”
“Chairman Ma…”
Zhao Xinpei turned around and looked into Ma Longteng’s eyes.
Ma Longteng did not even bother looking at Director Li as he replied faintly, “Ignore him, show me the images!”
Ma Longteng smiled and said, “I want to take a look at this or do you have a problem with it?”
Ma Longteng might be smiling but Director Li could feel the overbearing aura emitting from Ma Longteng’s body.
“No… Of course not…”

Paladin
When the first derelict alien spacecraft fell to Earth, humanity took what was found in it and propelled themselves to new heights. In their new Golden Age, humanity developed technology that they had only dreamed about. The following years saw hundreds more ships crash into the planet, spurring even greater technological leaps. An unassuming spacecraft, one of the dozens that fell yearly, descended on Siberia in 2021. The world took no particular notice of it. However, this one contained something beyond the miraculous technology that had made humans so prosperous. Three years later, in a top-secret underground facility in eastern Colorado, the automated construction of an army of Paladin Mobile Infantry Suits was underway. With this new, state-of-the-art weaponry, the military would turn the tide against the alien incursion that was consuming the planet. Humanity fell before that could happen. Sam was an engineer responsible for overseeing the facility. Now alone, he lives in utter boredom and near insanity, his only company the base’s pseudo AI and an army of empty Paladins. With the world gone to hell around him, and the things that caused it still living above, he decides that he is much better off staying exactly where he is. Unfortunately for him, that is no longer an option. This is the first novel I've written. The first fifteen or so chapters are going to be a little slower. I want there to be time to get to know the characters before they start blowing stuff up. Also, though the MC will be strong relative to the world, he won't be OP, and won't win every fight. Not every fight will be physical either. Currently, I'm aiming for something like 5 fairly short chapters a week, after the introduction part is done, but we'll see how that goes. Thanks for reading, and please let me know if I've made mistakes!

Asturian Warbringer - A LitRPG on Earth
Currently releasing 5 chapters a week Luke Kells liked only one thing about himself: his green eyes. He hated getting bullied, hated being poor, hated being an orphan, hated his weakness, hated the government, hated his life. If someone had given him a button to push and kill everyone but him and his granddad, he would've done it without a second thought. Then, one day, after fainting during a beating, he woke up with memories that would change his life. Magic, martial arts, how to craft special artifacts; he knew it all. Anyone would’ve taken that path to glory at once. However, he had to deal with a lot on his plate first. To even begin walking that path, Luke first had to deal with his own psychological issues. Almost two years of brutal bullying that was akin to torture and no support from the school staff of the police had left him with a broken soul. Before even realizing he could be rich or powerful, he had to bring himself out of the mental hellhole he found himself in. Oh, and his memories also told him the Sentinel Tower would change reality in six months to protect the planet from the Demonic Horde. But that wasn’t as important as not making the local bully angry, right? A story about personal growth, overcoming obstacles, and reaching absolute glory at the end of the path. This is a slow-paced, character-centered story. If you want something faster paced, filled with almost immediate and nonstopping action, check out my other novel: Modern Awakening - A cultivation, LitRPG, apocalyptic novel. World Servers - Dawn
The year is 2143, and much of the world’s population has been digitized for decades. Different servers are configured for different purposes. Some servers are pure gaming worlds. Others are offshoots of fringe political experimentation or regimes. Still others are based around ethnic or nationalist sentiment. Some replicate past times or past eras. And still others have been designed as totally imaginary locations created out of the dreams of programmers and the Artificial Intelligences that have been used to build and drive them. The gaming guild I Like Big Booty is a loosely affiliated group of friends and avid players. Theirs is an international guild which spans multiple servers, mostly running raids, ganking other players in PVP, and generally trying to build up the funds to purchase their own home world server. On one of the most populous servers – designed to resemble 20th century earth – a small raid team running a boring and routine run in Washington DC, comes across something that might change the fate of Virtual Reality across the solar system. Note: Per request, the title has been changed, though I might change it again when if I come up with something a little better.
