《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 1567. Despicable Blossoming Moon

“Oh?” Wang Yu looked at the tower and asked doubtfully, “You’re not lying to me, are you?”
“I wouldn’t dare! I wouldn’t dare!” Golden Sun Blossom hurriedly shook his hand, “If I lie to you, I will be your grandson!”
“Just you wish!” Wang Yu shouted before extending his hand and said, “Hand me your weapon.”
“This… this isn’t nice, right?” Golden Sun Blossom was in a difficult spot.
A player’s weapon was equivalent to a player’s root. According to the words of the players, one could lose his life but not his weapon.
“Oh? Or do you want me to rip your clothes?” Wang Yu stared fiercely into Golden Sun Blossom’s eyes.
“Here you go!”
Golden Sun Blossom shivered fearfully as he handed Wang Yu his staff.
What a joke! Handing over the weapon was merely losing a weapon. If his clothes were ripped, he would lose both his weapon and his pride. Who would forget the looks of a naked vice-president of one of the biggest guilds in the city?
“Good choice!”
Wang Yu took over Golden Sun Blossom’s weapon, looked at the attributes and said, “I will head over to the tower to take a look now. If you’re not lying to me, I will return this to you. If you dare to lie to me, we shall wait and see.”
After saying that, Wang Yu slapped Golden Sun Blossom’s head and turned him into a white light before flying towards the God’s Tower.
…
The white light flashed and Golden Sun Blossom appeared at the resurrection point.
After being resurrected, Golden Sun Blossom hurriedly sent a message to Blossoming Moon, “Boss, I’ve tricked that kid to the God’s Tower. Quickly send people there to stop him.”
Blossoming Moon received the news and immediately brought people towards the God’s Tower. Before he could make a few metres, the streets were filled with countless players that it completely blocked off Blossoming Moon’s way.

All kinds of badges were on these players’ chest and the equipment on them weren’t weak as well. Evidently, they were players from the other guilds here in Starry Sky City.
Blossoming Moon stopped in fear when he saw that he was surrounded.
At this point, a burly Knight holding a spear walked out and asked coldly, “President Blossom? Where do you think you’re heading to?”
Once the Knight stepped out, leaders of the other guilds also stepped forward right in front of Blossoming Moon and his men.
Even though Blossoming Moon brought over five hundred men, these other guilds were not there for show either. While they were not going overboard by bringing over ten thousand men to block the path, there were minimally four to five thousand players blocking them. They were simply more than enough to deal with Blossoming Moon and his minions.
Blossoming Moon looked around before looking directly at the mighty Knight. He said, “Boss Areca, Boss Starmoon, what is the meaning of this?”
“Nothing much!”
The Knight named Areca walked forward with a smile, “I’ve heard many things about your Golden Time but I certainly didn’t expect you to work with a foreigner. Quickly hand over that Chinese or you can forget about leaving this place.”
“Work with a foreigner? Haha!” Blossoming Moon chuckled out loud, “Do you have any proof?”
“Everyone saw it!” Areca continued, “You’ve killed Tulip for the sake of that Chinese and your vice-president ran away with that Chinese. Are those not enough proof? As long as you hand over the Chinese, we can let bygones be bygones.”
See that? This was what it took to be a leader of a guild. Areca was capable of turning rumours like that into evidence to argue with Blossoming Moon. If everyone hadn’t already known the truth, they would definitely believe what Areca said.

From Dragon Island, it wasn’t hard to tell that Blossoming Moon was not someone who liked to waste time arguing with others. At this point, he already saw through Areca’s motive which was why he did not bother explaining himself, “I do want to hand him over too. However, that man ran away.”
“Do you think we will believe that?” Areca sneered coldly, “Even if I believe you, I doubt the rest of the bosses here will believe you.”
“Who cares whether you believe me or not?” Blossoming Moon was getting frustrated, “His name is Iron Bull so you can check his coordinates if you want.”
“Iron Bull?” After hearing Wang Yu’s ID, Areca and the rest seemed slightly surprised, “Why does this name sound so familiar…”
Seconds later, the few of them hurriedly sent a message in their chat, “Check on Iron Bull’s coordinates.”
…
Back in Golden Time’s chat, everyone asked, “Boss, why did you give the name to them? At the very most, we can fight them to death.”
In the game, an ID was equivalent to a phone number as it was the most direct way of contacting someone. Moreover, there were plenty of ways to check on a person’s coordinates in the game. Giving them Wang Yu’s ID was essentially telling them where Wang Yu was.
Golden Time was a big guild and the players there were definitely not ones who could tolerate being submissive to others. Even if they were outnumbered, they refused to look weak or admit defeat easily as they were already gathering the rest of the players in the chat. Now that Blossoming Moon gave up Wang Yu’s ID, everyone else couldn’t understand why he did that.
“Haha!”
Blossoming Moon laughed and replied, “Do you think a bunch of trash like that can capture Iron Bull?”
“With so many of them from so many guilds, why is it not possible?” Everyone took a look at the players around them.
No matter how impressive Wang Yu was, he was still alone. There were over a few thousand players surrounding Golden Time so could it be that a few thousand of them couldn’t capture one Pugilist?
Blossoming Moon answered faintly, “If they were all from one guild, this might be possible. But the fact that they are all from different guilds makes it impossible for them to capture him!”
“Really?” Everyone was still confused.
“Yes!” Blossoming Moon was extremely confident.
In certain circumstances, having more didn’t mean extra advantage.
After all, they were merely a bunch of nerds playing a game and not military soldiers.
Players were unlike NPC and each one of them had their own unique ideas. The more people there were, the harder it was to control the entire force.
One player commanding five hundred players was already the limit. To bring over a few thousand men just to catch one person? It might not even be possible if they were from the same guild, let alone the fact that they were not.
All these leaders each had motives of their owns and were definitely thinking of how to attain their goals while brushing the other leaders off. They were only working together because they wanted to force Wang Yu’s location out from Blossoming Moon. When they actually meet Wang Yu, they might end up killing each other even before making a move on Wang Yu.
Blossoming Moon was a leader so he knew exactly what the rest of them had in mind.
Since Wang Yu was tricked by Golden Sun Blossom to the God’s Tower, letting this bunch of idiots exhaust their strength on Wang Yu before he stepped in to reap the rewards would be the ideal situation.

The Patchwork Realms
Athos is a good dog. He likes frisbee, bacon, and his family (SmolFriend, Mom, and Dad). He's not so keen on falling through an interdimensional portal to a fantasy world where floating boxes tell you that you've just been given status as the 'Supreme Exemplar' of your species, a powerful package of abilities that includes human-level intelligence. Sure, being smart is nice but less so when it comes with the need to survive in a land made from bits of different dimensions stitched together like patches in a quilt. A thousand species, a thousand lands, sorcery and super science rubbing elbows, wars and intrigue everywhere...it's exhausting for a good dog who just wants to go home! Note that this is a work in progress with lots of fiddly numbers so I will occasionally need to go back and fix errors, and this might affect events of earlier chapters. I'll try to keep this to a minimum and will post a note whenever it happens. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
