《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 1553. Trial

Taking someone down with oneself was a method that Wang Yu had used more than once. This was also the main reason why Dragon Emperor Dales had been so helpless against Wang Yu. Every time Dales heard this from Wang Yu, his head would start aching again.
After all, if Wang Yu died on Dales, Dales would also have to die as his entourage.
As a player, Wang Yu would revive after death and at the very most, lose some experience points. However, Dales was a rare God-grade BOSS which meant that dying would mean that it was over for him.
Even if the game could be refreshed, the strength of an NPC and the refresh time were directly proportional. Ordinary BOSS might take one day or one week to refresh but for a god-grade BOSS like Dales, he would need at least years before he could be refreshed.
At the thought of this, Dales reconsidered and was naturally not going to risk his life with Wang Yu.
“Hehe! It doesn’t matter as long as it is useful!” Wang Yu smiled, “So are you giving it to me?”
“I am a god!” Dales replied pridefully, “Do you really think you, as a mortal, can perish with me?”
“Haha!” Wang Yu was equally as proud when he replied, “I know your capabilities and that ordinary players can forget about perishing with you. But you should also know my capabilities and that if I want to die on you, you will not be able to dodge.”
“You!!” Dales was once again speechless at Wang Yu.
Wang Yu was right as Dales had personally experienced Wang Yu’s frightening capabilities. Back then, Wang Yu was merely slightly over level 50 yet his methods and skills were already comparable to Dales. The only reason he couldn’t defeat Dales was because Dales had an absolute suppression in terms of attributes.
Dales wouldn’t even be confident enough to say that he could defend himself if the level 50 Wang Yu wanted to perish together with him. Now that Wang Yu was already level 60 and had learnt many more skills, who knew just how much stronger he had become? And why would Dales dare to be complacent in front of him?

He had no other choice because he lived under Wang Yu’s roof. Even though it wasn’t hard for Dales to kill Wang Yu, Wang Yu still had his contract with him so Dales could only bear with it. In the face of the shameless Wang Yu, Dales had no other choice but to answer helplessly, “Boss, it is not that I cannot give the reverse scales but the system has their requirements too.”
“Tell me about it!” Wang Yu waved his hands.
Wang Yu understood rules and he knew that the Dragon’s Reverse Scale was an extremely unique item. It wouldn’t make sense for it to be given out so easily to players.
“One has to obtain my acknowledgement,” Dales replied.
“Oh? How do I do that?” Wang Yu asked.
“Logically speaking, you have to defeat me!”
Dales answered calmly.
“Defeat you?” Wang Yu’s face turned black.
What was the difference between this and rejecting him outrightly? Dales was a level 200 God-grade BOSS and one of the highest existences in this game. How can a level 60 shrimp like Wang Yu ever possibly think of defeating Dales?
Even if the system agreed to let Wang Yu win, the readers of this novel might not be convinced too.
“I’m talking about level 100 me.” Dales hurriedly added, “However, you and I have a master and servant contract binding us together. Even if you want to challenge me, the system will not agree to that.”
“So what should I do?” Wang Yu’s face turned even gloomier. What was the point of telling him all these if he couldn’t do so?
“How about this?” Dales hooked his finger, “Little Mi, come over!”
Dominica quickly walked into the house after hearing Dales’ order.
Dales pointed to Dominica and said, “As long as you can convince him of your strength, I will give you the Dragon’s Reverse Scale.”
“What’s your current level?” Wang Yu turned to ask Dominica.
Back then, Wang Yu did exchange blows with Dominica. Even though this fella was not as disgustingly strong as compared to Dales, he was still a considerably strong BOSS who was at least a hundred levels higher than him. Even Wang Yu wouldn’t be that confident in defeating him.

“185!” Dominica replied coldly, “Now that I am the Dragon Emperor’s bodyguard, I’ve received a great increase in my level.”
“Dales, are you playing me? Are you forcing me to take you out?” Wang Yu instantly glared at Dales.
To players of this current stage in the game, there was simply no difference between a level 185 BOSS and a level 200 BOSS. He wouldn’t be able to withstand a single blow from each of them.
“I wouldn’t dare, I wouldn’t dare!” Dales was truly worried that Wang Yu was done with him so he quickly explained, “I meant that you only have to convince him of your strength. I didn’t say you have to defeat him.”
“Oh? Really?” Wang Yu squinted his eyes and handed a bag of gold to Dales, “I’m sorry I didn’t bring any gift on my first visit here. Here, please take this small token of appreciation and can you give me some tips?”
“Hehe!”
Dales took over and weighed the bag before replying in a satisfied manner, “Dominica has been extremely regretful that as a member of the Dragon race, he is in a departed spirit form. He has been looking for a way to revive so as long as you can help him revive him, he will be convinced by you.”
“Revive? Can’t you do it since you’re a god?” Wang Yu asked.
“Evidently, I can’t do it.” Dales shook his head.
“Hand me the money!” Wang Yu extended his hand ferociously to grab the bag back from Dales, “How am I supposed to do so if you can’t do it? Just tell me directly if you don’t want to give it to me. Why make things difficult for me?”
“Boss, please calm down.” Dales held on tightly to the bag, “Do you know any player or NPC who knows how to revive others? You can get them to help.”
“Player or NPC?” Wang Yu asked again, “Dominica is currently a departed spirit, right?”
Wang Yu did know a few players or NPCs who knew how to revive others as Fearless was just one of them. Round Table Knight, Esther, also knew this skill but both Fearless and Esther were believers of the God of Light. Therefore, their resurrection skills were both light magic skills.
Everyone knew that departed spirits belonged to the world of dark magic. Light magic skills were especially effective against dark magic and Dominica was a departed spirit dragon. If Wang Yu got Fearless or Esther here to use their skills on him, Dominica would probably die within one wave of skills.
“That’s right!” Dales sighed, “If he isn’t a departed spirit, I would not have such a headache as well.”
“Resurrection skill belongs to the light faction and this fella is a departed spirit so how am I supposed to revive him?” Wang Yu scratched his head with furrowed brows. After playing the game for such a long time, he had never faced such a difficult problem.
Dales reminded him, “Unless you can find a method to revive him without using light magic skills.”
“You can revive someone without using light magic skills?”
Hearing what Dales said, Wang Yu seemed to have thought of something as his eyes lit up, “I have a way!”
“What?” Dales was also very interested in what Wang Yu was planning to do.
At this moment, Wang Yu took out an extremely red token in the shape of a bird with spread-out wings.
“This is…” Dales cried out shockingly when he saw the token, “Phoenix Token?!!”

Due to a series of misfortune, the squad is teleported to an alternate land, called Osaethar, that is absolutely no different from reality except for the existence of magic and superhuman strength.
