《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 1495. Banishment

Void Blade. How many good deeds have they done ever since they started playing?
They have trampled on many players in the pursuit of power and glory. Even the accomplishment of causing Wang Yu’s first-ever death almost fell in their hands.
Even if all their previous misdeeds were discounted, they had used their vast wealth to destroy Sanguine Alliance, resulting in a Sanguine Alliance falling to such a pathetic state.
How did the Western District come to be? It was developed painstakingly under the leadership of Quan Zhen Sect.
Although Quan Zhen Sect had received their fair share of rewards, the largest profit still went to Void Blade.
Captain Don’t Open Fire did not feel appreciative at all and even tried to assassinate Wang Yu.
Wang Yu simply had no good impression of this white-eyed wolf.
There were many players with vast amounts of wealth like Evil Rampage and a few others but none were as overbearing as Captain Don’t Open Fire.
Wang Yu was completely repulsed by Captain Don’t Open Fire’s behavior and made the decision in his heart to banish them from Twilight City as soon as possible.
“Boss Iron Bull…” Captain Don’t Open Fire sullenly said, “Is there no room for negotiation?”
Wang Yu shook his head, “I think this is not at all a bad outcome for you guys! I don’t wish to kill anyone and I am sure that you also do not want to get killed. This is the most optimal outcome for all parties. I don’t think applying for a formal banishment would be a good option.”
“I…”
Captain Don’t Open Fire finally rested his case.
Wang Yu’s intentions were clear. Either die or be banished. In the worst case, they were going to formalise the banishment.
As the City Lord, Wang Yu held the power as equivalent to a forum moderator. The procedure for banishment was simply a formality if he had the intent to pursue that option.
If they made the decision to leave themselves, their assets would still have value and they could still make a comeback in another City.

In the case of formal banishment, their houses would cease to belong to them. Furthermore, they would not be accepted by NPCs in other cities. It was simply a death wish.
It was a simple multiple-choice question that Captain Don’t Open Fire only had one answer to.
“Alright!”
After a last moment of deliberation, Captain Don’t Open Fire clenched his teeth and replied, “Okay, we will leave!”
Captain Don’t Open Fire was almost a man that was concerned about his dignity. Leaving on his own terms was far better than getting chased out.
“That’s good!”
Wang Yu looked at him with satisfaction, “Since you have decided to leave, I don’t have anything more to say. If I happen to see any members of Void Blade after the three-day deadline, I hope you know the consequences!”
Following that, Wang Yu loosened his grip on Captain Don’t Open Fire and walked off.
The battle of Middle Street was nearing its end.
Under the all-encompassing attacks by Sanguine Alliance, the players from Void Blade had no way to defend themselves. When Captain Don’t Open Fire ran away, the majority of them took shelter within the resurrection point.
As he stood above the church, Spring Halo grinned, “How many times do you think Old Bull killed Captain Don’t Open Fire?”
“Ten times!” Ming Du blurted out, “With his temper, I think ten times is sufficient for him to vent his anger.”
“Twenty times!” Vainglory interjected, “Old Bull had slain Heavenly Bird countless times. For Captain Don’t Open Fire to proactively attack us, I think he will be killed at least twenty times.”
“What about you Fearless?” Spring Halo turned over to him.
Fearless thought, “I don’t think that Captain Don’t Open Fire will even die a single time!”
“Why?” The others could not understand what Fearless was thinking, “Old Bull is in such a superior position. Why would he not kill him?”
“It is precisely because Old Bull is totally infuriated this time!” Fearless answered plainly, “Based on his character, he would not want to have anything to do with the other party.”

“Hm? Old Bull is back!”
Just when the players from Quan Zhen Sect were still wildly guessing, Wang Yu reappeared on the horizon as he retracted his wings.
“Settled?” Fearless casually probed.
“All done!” Wang Yu replied clearly.
“How was it done?” Fearless was curious about how Captain Don’t Open Fire was dealt with.
Wang Yu shot back, “I asked him to scram!”
“Just this?” Ming Du was extremely confused, “Didn’t you want to kill him ten times and force him to kneel and eat shit?”
Wang Yu replied, “That kind of punishment is way too mild!”
“Hm? Asking him to scram is asking him to leave Twilight City forever?” Fearless continued, his eyebrows twitching.
“Yes! I don’t want to have such characters hanging out on my turf.” Wang Yu nodded.
“F*ck! Surely this is not the case? Such ruthlessness.” The players from Quan Zhen Sect took in a collective breath of cold air.
With their identities as hardcore gamers, they knew the consequence of banishment on a guild.
The impact was minimal for solo players because they had little responsibility and could roam from city to city.
For such a large guild like Void Blade, banishment was equivalent to uprooting the whole guild.
After all, the members of the guild would have some reliance on the City they were in and it was not easy for them to leave a familiar environment.
Furthermore, many of the members of Void Blade were just hired muscle for Captain Don’t Open Fire. They had little attachment to the guild. The moment Void Blade was banished, many of these mercenaries would take the opportunity to jump ship.
“Is that considered ruthless?” Fearless countered, “Based on what Captain Don’t Open Fire had done to Wang Yu, I think this is already a very benevolent end to his misdeeds. At the very least, he managed to keep his pathetic life.”
“That makes sense!” The rest of them chimed in in approval.
“Hehe!” Spring Halo chuckled, “I have heard that Captain Don’t Open Fire is a huge property magnate. All the properties in the Western District belong to him.”
“That’s right!” Ming Du added, “Brother Bull, you can be even more ruthless towards such a capitalistic bastard. I think you should even confiscate all his property and redistribute it to the members of Quan Zhen Sect who have accorded merits.”
“What Ming Du said is right. We approve!” The rest nodded their heads nonstop.
“Bunch of trash!”
Wang Yu surveyed these bastards and said, “Captain Don’t Open Fire will auction off his large meeting rooms and headquarters tomorrow. You guys get ready as soon as possible!”
“Wow! Is this really true?” Hearing Wang Yu’s words, the members of Quan Zhen Sect almost leapt in excitement.
The game mirrored real life whereby property was a huge investment. The members of Quan Zhen Sect all had large deposits of gold coins. Instead of watching the value of gold coins fall day by day, they could invest it in real estate.
Since there was an increasing number of new players in > day by day, the property prices would definitely be on an upward trend.
Even if they did not stay in it or open a shop, it could function as a storage facility. This was Captain Don’t Open Fire’s original intention when he wanted to acquire these properties. However, all the fruits of his labor were going into the pockets of the Quan Zhen Sect.
These players did not expect to receive so many side benefits from Wang Yu’s decision.
Everyone could not keep their excitement in. Vainglory asked animatedly, “Uncle Bull, I know a few other property magnates. Why not banish the whole lot of them as well?”
Facing such a suggestion, Wang Yu had only one word for Vainglory, “Scram!”
